Still on the hunt for a truly smoky beef chow fun, but Full Kee is now our go-to for Cantonese comfort food.

It just so happened to be the rainiest July day since 1970 in DC and 5th rainiest day ever in July, 6th after 2022 day had more. I lived a very close walk to this center, and I trudged out in the heavy rain with my biggest umbrella & rain slicker to meet up with my date. Service was prompt and cordial. Wow, this was one of the best Chinese I've had! As for the date, it was great. She was from one of the dating websites. We went on a 2nd date the very next day, but she ghosted me. Then, I came across her again online about 9 months later, and we went out on another date in May 2019. I asked her what happened, and she explained whatever excuse with personal stuff going on or whatever. All 3 of the dates were good, but she had her issues. In summary, in spite of my kind of weird date & such a rainy day going here, I'll need to take my girlfriend here to enjoy the outstanding food if we're ever in Wheaton hopefully under sunnier skies.

The portion was way to big for me to eat after my flight, but I really, really enjoyed it (and the remaining dumplings) for lunch today. Did I say yowza? I'm an adventurous eater so the menu's less Americanized items were what I would have ordered given more time (like Maoxuewang: can you say "pig's tongue, spam, pork intestine, and beef tripe"? I always feel a little funny asking for this because it's my favorite part of the dish, but I never know whether the staff understands exactly what I mean or is secretly making fun of me. The waiter actually told me the chef didn't know what I was talking about, so they apparently just cooked the noodles longer. The flavor was good, but unfortunately, the dish was a little too greasy, and it didn't quite have the intense wok hei I was hoping for. The salt-and-pepper squid was very tasty, but we weren't big fans of the coating. It was much thicker and more reminiscent of the batter you might find on a sweet-and-sour dish than the lighter, crispier coating I was expecting from salt-and-pepper squid. The chicken and salted fish fried rice was tasty and probably my favorite of the three dishes. I did notice that the portions were smaller than I expected, especially for the price. I won't mention the shrimp egg rolls Overall, the meal wasn't bad at all, but it also didn't strike me as a must-visit Cantonese restaurant. Maybe I ordered the wrong things, or maybe my expectations were just too high coming from Big Wong. Next up: Full Key. Let's see how that goes.

New to the neighborhood, we've ordered 3 different times because we haven't found any other Chinese delivery spots yet. I don't understand all the glowing reviews of this place...all 3 times, the food has been gross. Chicken and Broccoli was bland, Bourbon Chicken was a just a bowl full of oddly flavored dark meat chicken, not a single veggie added, and the sweet and sour chicken, again, was just a bowl full of fried chicken, not a single veggie (usually it has pineapple, green peppers, carrots), and an gross onion-flavored bowl of sweet and sour sauce :( Even the spring roll and egg rolls are nasty...greasy as hell! I try to patronize small businesses, but I will not be returning here. Food is too expensive these days to take a chance on them having an off day. Also, the oddest thing was when I went to pick up my food they have a very small area (maybe 6 ft by 4 ft) where you order and pick up food through a window. It was the smallest, oddest set up I've ever seen. There was barely enough room for 3-4 people. Service was meh. Not bad and not good. I do not recommend.

First of all... can we just ask the obvious question here... who gets chicken wings from a Chinese restaurant? What a surprise it's not as good as wingstop.... Which I may add is literally down the road. I'd judge more a person who orders chicken wings from here than the chicken wings themselves! This place is meant to be enjoyed with people you care about- that's the secret. It's not fancy, it doesn't try to be anything else, it just is. Their lobby area where yoy irder food the way its decorated think of it as being on Holy Ground . Me and my family love ordering orange chicken , Sweet and sour shrimp and Shrimp Fried Rice ,Regular rice and Vegetable Spring Rolls . The food is delightful and delicious more than anything I could ever have . This place should be treated with respect. Here at Wing Wah you get to lean a new Culture, Language and heritage you never knew or explored before . Here you grt to become something much bigger than yourself there. All who come here you'll get an experience you'll all never forget i promise you . Plus the food you get there will blow your mind . Of what happened during the Covid Pandemic it was all of us Americans were at fault for the inexcusable unjustifiable Reprehensible unlawful, And Wrongful behaviors . But we have a chance to provevwe are the better men to redeem ourself from those past mistakes . It shouldn't ever be tolerated under any circumstance of the Law.
