The BBQ chickens were very similar to CL: tender, juicy, and tasty. It also came with green sauce, though not as thick or intense as CL's. Price points were also very comparable. Even the interiors were similar - no flair whatsoever, though this one has better seating area. However, it is cash-only and still charges tax. But I prefer Peking BBQ over CL for the following reasons: - More accessible. It's in Woodside, a lot closer than Bayside. - Smaller operation with shorter wait: 20-25 minutes vs. 1-1.5 hours. - More choices of sides: you can get pork fried rice, lo mein, even sweet and sour dishes. Another one on my list in the area is Caravan Chicken. Hopefully, I get to try and review it next time I am in town to reach the final verdict.

It surprisingly took longer than I expected for my à la carte order of ribs, almost 25 mins which was strange considering they were right in front of me in the warmer. The organization of the orders didn't seem to be efficient to be honest. If the ribs were good though, after the wait, I'd be all good to be honest. Overall the ribs were really dry and overcooked, perhaps from being in the warmer a little bit longer than expected. They were also really skinny ribs with not a whole lot of meat. Perhaps I'll have to give them another try sometime given the number of folks that were there.

While their selection of beers wasn't the most extensive, I did enjoy the IPA that I got, and they had a pretty wide selection of your typical bar foods, with my mozzarella sticks tasting exceptional. Finally, the bartender on shift was such a cool guy, and an excellent bartender as well! He was very attentive without being overly bearing, kind enough to chat with us about the surrounding area, and an excellent steward of the establishment! Overall, I loved my trip to Donovan's, will definitely be back in the future, and couldn't recommend it enough to anybody in the area!

Hongkong milk tea also taste pretty good. Mochi donut is great, I will get it again. There's a lot of cafe and food vendor around, hope they get stay around. And i get that they were closing but a friendly "hey guys, we getting ready to close." Would have been nice. The server also rushed my friend who got there at 9:55pm, and said that they were getting ready to close the kitchen. They still took 3 parties after her. Last party came in almost at 11. The steak and eggs were tasty also but what really stood out was the French toast. It was made really well and didn't have that soggy taste French toast can have sometimes - we love that. I'm usually hesitant ordering French toast out but here, I'll order again. My one critique is that the service could've been better, especially since they weren't crowded. The food came super fast but ordering more water and other essentials became a bit of a hassle since we waited for the server to check in but realized trying to flag them down was a better option and that took some time. With all that being said, the staff was friendly and respectful so that's always appreciated.

My husband and I were both nursing a hangover, so I ordered the traditional Irish breakfast (nice and light), while he ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with a side salad. I loved my Irish breakfast. The eggs were perfectly cooked; the sausage and bacon and pudding were flavorful and tasty; and I liked that I had the option to get skinny fries and rye toast, which I realize are not traditional. I would come back again for this breakfast alone. My husband didn't love his buffalo chicken sandwich, sadly. He thought the chicken was too thin and dry, and he didn't care for the bread. Oh well. I think I could convince him to return regardless. Prices were reasonable and service was great.

I don't think there are many places that could pull off that color scheme, especially as an Irish pub, but I loved how the bar looked as I was walking up to it. When I walked in, I noticed the wide open floor plan in the front, the bar in the middle, and then another open area in the back. They also had what seemed to be some really cool patio seating outside, which is probably awesome on a beautiful fall, spring, or summer day. All of the bartenders were really nice, and their drink selection was alright. I first ordered a margarita, which was pretty good for an Irish bar. My friend got a Stella, and I eventually switched to an IPA. Most importantly for an Irish dig, there were some really friendly patrons seated next to and near us, who told us about the area, and who chatted with us about baseball. All-in-all, Sean Og's was an awesome Irish pub experience. I would highly recommend it, and I will be back in the future!

Neat, fun spot for some good food in Sunnyside!…read more For anyone like me who isn't great at reading restaurant/bar descriptors, this place isn't *just* a bar, nor is it *just* a restaurant - it's a bit of both. Cozy but not cramped, cute little spot that's great for Summer relaxed vibes and munchies. They're specialized in Latino food and drink. They apparently have a whole flight of Margaritas and/or Mojitos to sample - I'd love to try one sometime, however yesterday I stuck with a regular Margarita and was pretty pleased. Clearly made in-house, none of the store-bought drink mixes or anything involved. My mom and I split a few appetizers between the two of us and were quite full, even had some food to bring home. Went with the birria tacos (solid), a trio of other tacos (steak + chicken + pork), and a plate of fried plantains with beef and mushrooms that was really fun - first time we'd had that, glad the waitress talked us into it. Everything came with home-made guac as well. They have a full bar with quite the selection of drinks, lots of Happy Hour specials up on the walls, and a solid, straightforward menu of additional appetizers and also burgers and sandwiches. The staff are super nice and upbeat. My Ma was buying, and I believe she spent about $85 for 3+ appetizers and a drink. Not exactly cheap but it you think of it more as a filling and fairly tasty lunch for 2, roughly $40 each - it's not bad at all. Will definitely come back and give that flight of Margs a try!
