Update: the reason WHY I stopped coming here. When ever I would ask to see Anne they would have another person do it. And my nail came out crooked and when he would do the gel on my nails they would be so thick and bubbly you couldn't see the shape anymore I was just really distraught after coming here for over a year and leaving unhappy and paying and traveling 30mins for nails. I called on thanksgiving around 1:45. I walked in and not only was a nice place to enter but they had JAZZ music playing offered complementary refreshments but ANN. The owner I think. Was amazing gentle and so great, when it came to doing my full set. She took her time ( over an hour). No cuts or roughness. The left picture is my nails AFTER washing them (they have bath&body soap available with the beads that's leave your hands soft, & pomegranate lotion. Anyways the left is my wet hand you can see the water drops under my thumb lol and the right the finish matte nails. Another thing I shared with Ann i work with kids, so she asked me if I wanted them more smooth & curved so make sure it was safe for me to pick up my students. Thats awesome. Thank you Ann! I have been here many times! I have to say that the one man that works there really knows his stuff. I came in with two bad acrylic nails and he not only got them off but was able to save the real ones! I keep going back because of him. My natural nails have always been stubby and now they are amazing! I get compliments all the time! I gave it a four cause not all the people that work there are as good as he is. read more

My Daughter and I enjoy getting our nails done at Panda Nail. They are very clean and use plastic bag in the foot tub which not many places do that I've been to. I especially love their hospitality and free water and well working massage chairs. And for the holidays we just got some decorations for the first time and they did and excellent job, especially my daughters bows on her toes! Horrible place to go to I didn't want to right such a bad review but after my nails looking the way they do I need to. First of i got my toes done and they hurt by how much filing they did to them . And then I got a full set of nails which I haven't gotten done in a while so I was pretty excited to get them done. After about two minutes of the guy that started doing my nails I got cut and it started to bleed but the guy kept filing on that guy even though he saw I was bleeding. Then cuts me again about two minutes later and I start to bleed again. He puts alcohol on my cut and that burnt so bad. Not only did he cut me but he did a really bad job on the full set of nails the total cost for both shitty job was $70. I got home and my nail already chipped will not be coming back here. I came from the Bay Area didn't have time to get my nails done back home so I decided to come here to get them done. I asked how much things were mind you I want short nails and coffin style and she charged me 55 but started with 35 as her price. They charged me For coffins nails as well? . I guess I'm not use to that back home and my gel is not even done correctly there is gaps on my nails and glue stuck around. As we are finishing she ask for Venmo and I only had credit card. She didn't want to accept it but I had no other option. There is nothing stating she only accepts Venmo. Im so disappointed ... she ran my card it went through and denied my pedicure ..... she said maybe next time !!! Last week I went in and got pedicure and manicure and for whatever reason the gel polish changed color within a day. It's my fault for not going back to sooner to complain. I wasn't expecting them to give me a free gel manicure but a simple "I'm so sorry, we don't know what could have happened" would have sufficed. Instead one of the nail ladies went back and snickered something to one of the employees and then I realized they were all looking at me. I'm not sure if this place is going under new management because I didn't recognize any of the ladies from last week or prior visits. Needless to say I was desperate to get the color off so I paid for a new application and removal of gel polish. I always feel like I have to give people one more chance. Honestly I'm so torn about this review. I don't often go get my nails done, since I think with patience and the right products, you can have a decent manicure at home. So when I DO go to get them done, I want it to be a great experience more than anything else. And Panda Nails was the place I would go for a good price, great service, and fab nails. So I went in for a mani and pedi today, I was scheduled for an appointment. And I was the only one in the store, to think being the only customer, there'd be better treatment-- not the case. Only one of the ladies greeted me, and the other two didn't even bother saying anything, and when the color came out not as expected (since they don't have any sample of nail colors for regular polish, only gel colors had samples) and I wanted to change it, the lady started semi-yelling(?) at me in Cantonese, and knowing a few words, she said something along the lines of "Why did you wait until your nails were dry to ask me to change? Why not earlier?" And well, I really hate to be THAT customer, but before I asked, I was contemplating for so long if I wanted to change the color, so when I finally decided to, it was really because the color was way too wrong for me. Not to mention, the manicure was done at a minimal standard-- not even my whole nail is covered, and a lot of the dead skin and cuticles were uncut... I used to love this place a lot, but seeing how some reviewers said they might have changed owners, I can understand why the service quality is so different... UPDATE: It's been 2 days and my nail already chipped. And starting from the first day I came home, my big toe was slightly hurting, and I thought it was just sensitive because of callous removal or the cutting of cuticles. But now it's obviously swollen and seems to be infected. Now I can say with confidence, DON'T COME HERE ANYMORE! read more

This is by far the hardest review I've ever written. This is especially hard because the staff at this nail salon were unbelievably kind. I rarely if ever write negative reviews unless I feel the establishment warrants such a harsh review. HOWEVER, with that said, I was not happy with the services I received. I called ahead and asked if they had dipping powder and was told they did. I came in and almost immediately realized that my nail technician had NO IDEA what she was doing. Dipping powder is a whole other process, and there's a reason why not every nail salon offers the service. When I was told they offered it I was relieved and that relief quickly turned into horror as I watched the nail technician struggle and ask questions of the other nail technicians. My main issue is that if you're not familiar with dipping powder and the technique it's obvious. For starters she has to remove already existing dipping powder. She placed my hands in bowls of acetone and walked away. I don't remember how long my hands were in the bowls, but long enough to burn my fingertips. Then she began to file my nail beds into oblivion. I have naturally long and thick nails. Whyyyyyy she felt the need to take an electric nail file and continue to file down ALL OF MY NATURAL nail I will never know. Once she began applying the dipping powder it was on layer 5 or 6 that I realized she did not intend to file the powder down and shape them. They were huge and blocky and did not look natural at all. $100 later (gel pedi, dipping powder mani) I went home and HATED my nails. I called the next day and asked for them to be removed and opted to instead get a gel manicure, and requested another technician work on me. He removed the powder and offered to reapply it, but I no longer had confidence in their work or their technique. He even commented how thin my nails has been filed down and commented on the burns. My pedicure was fantastic. No negative feedback there whatsoever. Again, the staff was kind and lovely, but I will not be returning. read more

Sad to say I will not be returning to Panda Nails. The manicures here are truly mediocre and the nail techs don't do a good job even when it's not busy. I was one of two people in the salon that morning and the lady who did my regular OPI manicure did not bother to clean up the edges or file my nails evenly. I left with uneven edges and nail polish on my skin/cuticles. I go out to get manicures to get pampered but if I am able to give myself a better manicure, what's the point? For this reason, I won't return. This place also isn't cheap. $17 for an OPI shine mani. I hate to give bad reviews unless I feel strongly about my experience. My last experience here really left a bad taste in my mouth. Regular polish manicures are generally the easiest and quickest to do. If they can't even do that right, I would think twice about getting other services done here. read more

My friends and I were in a mood for some pampered time and also some half and half. Panda Nails is the perfect salon. Not only is it located right next to a half and half store, it also has great yelp reviews, so we decided to give it a try. When we passed by it before going to half and half to get our boba fix, the store was empty. Since the weather was so nice that day, I suggested that we finished the boba before heading to Panda nails... Rookie mistake! Because apparently we weren't the only people craving that boba and mani combo (maybe it can be a new thing? instead of mani and pedi?) We ended up having to wait for the two ladies to finish. It wasn't too big of a deal since none of us were in a hurry. It is important to note that the salon isn't very large. They have 4 massage chair/pedi station and 2 manicure table (or maybe 3). However that day they only had 3 technicians working. Despite the wait, we were all very satisfied with our nails. They have a good selection of colors. Since they just recently changed ownership, all the nail polish seem to be fairly new as well. Favorite part of the pedicure was definitely the hot stone massage. What a treat! They also offered water, soda, and snacks for us. It was also very nice of them to throw away our half and half cups for us. While we were finishing up, another girl came in. She is a return custom. You know the place is good if someone keeps on coming back! My best friend treated me since it was my birthday, so I am not exactly sure how much it costed. I think a mani+pedi is probably around $30 which is not bad at all! Currently they offer free eyebrow wax for any service with yelp check in! read more

Came here on Friday because I desperately needed a fill and I work 7 minutes up the street. The decor is nothing special and it was actually pretty small and cramped. For a place like arcadia I expected a little more luxury but It was Saturday & it was last minute so I just had to take what I could get. I got there and was serviced by 2 other people before the woman who was actually doing my manicure showed up. I didn't have time to do a color and asked if I could come back the next day because I was in a rush and had to go to work. They said it would be fine , I went to pay and their system was down. They use an iPad and their wifi was disconnected and it turned out to be a huge inconvenience. I told them I can pay tomorrow when I could back . I understand that's a risk for their business but i don't feel like that was my problem . Should have payed your bill. She swiped my card a couple times which made me nervous because when their system got back up I didn't want to deal with the burden of contacting the bank and everything . I left then got a phone call saying that my card went through and everything was fine. Checked my statement and the card had only went through once . Thank God. I went back the next day for the color and the woman who was having trouble with my card did my color and she was very apologetic and asked me if everything was ok with my bank and told me to call her if anything goes wrong . I appreciated that because nail salons ran by asians are notorious for being dismissive and unprofessional . The color was beautiful however the shape isn't PERFECT. Again this was last minute so it's not a place I was expecting to get an immaculate manicure from. The color I chose was beautiful though but today is Tuesday and it's already wearing and I've already cracked a nail. The set I had on before lasted 3 weeks before one broke . She told me to call her if anything happened with my nails but it was so cramped that I won't even bother. I Didn't get a pedicure but this isn't a place I would get a pedicure from just by observing . UPDATE: It's been a week and THREE of my nails are now broken. Very clean, no waiting, no upselling, fair prices, Tuesday discount, English of people we delt with was very good, and I got a receipt via email. Prices clearly posted on wall. TV's with captions and no sound so kind of fun. Two pedicures with scrub massage and hot stones standard and a manicure with no polish was $57. Can't beat it. read more
