There is a variety of dishes; I've tried multiple and they all have been good; I've yet to be disappointed. I've only ever dined-in, but when doing so you receive a soup, salad and four side dishes, one of which is always kimchi, but the other three can vary. (maybe a lapse in marketing to not mention this fact on the menu, as the prices reflect this - makes the asking price worth it for the more frugal) The side dishes are not "American sized" but there is an art to eating the traditional Eastern way; the sides offer a means to achieve a great variety of flavor-combinations in one setting. And I'm sure they will be refilled if you finish one, but with the way I eat I've never needed to. The way the meal is prepared has a balance. My husband and I were looking for something new to try, so we decided to give Korean BBQ a shot. We ordered the grill on the table option and I'm so glad we did! The whole experience was really awesome and honestly, I'm surprised we even have something like this in Longview since diversity isn't the first thing that comes to mind when you think of this city lol. I would have given it 5 stars, but the quality of the meat definitely could be better. It was really fatty and cheap meat that was used on the grill. The marinade was absolutely delicious, but I'm sure if a better quality meat was used it would be out of this world. This is a new Korean restaurant in the area. We tried the first time they opened and I would say that they were still trying to hone their service and tweak their offerings. Fast forward to 4 months later and we tried again. This time, I would say they finally found their bearings and changed their menu. I had their beef bulgogi with their spicy seafood soup and it was so delicious and flavorful. My wife had their tofu bibimbap and she was not disappointed. Our waitstaff was one of the owners and although her English communication skill was limited, she was very patient and kind and made sure our dining experience was worthwhile. Overall, we were glad we went a second time to try it again. We will definitely come back and sample their other dishes. Try it and experience a different kind of cuisine other than Mexican, Chinese and American offerings. This place needs to thrive so we can have many other dining choices in this area. read more

I seriously question the two most current reviews. If this is their idea of "good" Chinese food, it clearly was somewhere else. This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The taste was off on several items. Most of the food in the buffet table was anything but hot. Without saying anything the manager offered to have one item made fresh. Sadly the fresh food wasn't any better. I had to hide the fresh food in the soup so I wasn't blatantly rude about his efforts. The hot and sour soup was only sour. Only one item from the buffet table was worth finishing. It was the only hot selection. For this reason I did not finish the rest. I had to put one star so I could write a review. I do want taken into consideration that I went in the middle of the week past 7pm. There were only two parties there, me being one of them. 80% of our plates remained after our first trip to the buffet. We did not return for a second go. I am not a Longview resident, so try to rely on yelp reviews. I do come into town every other month for a Dr appt though. The business is proud of their previous glory (yelp reviews printed and posted at the entrance). I have no ill will toward the business, but I sincerely hope they take heed - please fix the temperature issue with the steam table. Someone will get seriously sick. Do an audit of your current cooks efforts. Most of the recipies need some quality control. Hot and Sour soup needs to completely reworked. Sesame chicken tasted correct, and was the only one at the right temperature. Good thing its hard to screw up a DQ blizzard...serously! read more

This is the only Korean restaurant in the area. My first impression is some of the wait staff lack experience and buffet usually is a turn off because you don't know if the food has been there all day. We chose to order off the menu. We ordered bulgogi and Korean brisket, egg rolls fried dumplings and dumpling stew, they brought a grill to our table and showed us how to cook the marinated meat. Kimchee, salads, more soup, bean paste, and lots of small dishes of unknown things to me. We ate it all! So good! If this place trains its very new wait staff, gets rid of the buffet and shows their patrons the Korean hospitality the chef showed us they will do well, but if they don't be more attentive people will leave before the even give it a try (we saw this actually happen). We will eat here again, and hope they get the kinks ironed out. read more

Here's the deal. I like Hunan. But only because it is cheap, is value for money, and they have lunch and dinner buffets, and the spread is quite plentiful -- but it's typical MSG fired American Chinese food where there are 2 base sauces, that I'm sure aren't fresh, and the protein and spices rotate to create multiple dishes. For example - the sedans chicken and general tso's chicken have the same sticky glaze sauce! But for that price I'm ok with it! They have a familiar and satisfying spread -- chow mein, egg fried rice, ginger garlic chicken, general tsos chicken, herbed salmon, spring rolls, battered fried shrimp, popcorn chicken, fried fish, pork ribs, garlic fish, chicken and broccoli, and way more. They have a steamer with dumplings as well at the end of the spread so be sure to grab some. They have some fruits and pudding for dessert, but the steamer also has some red bean dumplings which is my favorite part of the spread! This is a good place for college students. But the owners might bully you into tipping -- don't fall for it! read more

The food overall wasn't too bad; it was mostly all hot. However, the shrimp weren't cleaned properly (digestive tract still in place), and the selection was pretty small. Outdated decor. Price wasn't that much cheaper than going to the big buffet in town... I dunno. It was convenient to where we were in town, but probably won't come here again, primarily due to lack of buffet selection and improperly cleaned shrimp. read more

I started eating here in 1981 when we lived in Longview, at least once a week, until we left in 1989. Being ardent Chinese food fans, and not being able to find good, classic chinese food in DFW (believe it or not) we stopped through the years when we could, but hadn't been there in at least 10 years when we stopped by and brought the entire family. It was as good as ever. I had the Schezuwan Beef with hot and sour soup. Don't expect eyepopping ambiance, but the place is clean and the staff prompt and curteous. Rate of the food 1-5 I would give it a 2all the foods look old the beefs is dry and look burn. 10$ a plate you get one scoop of rice and scoop of meats of your choice then soup and dry salad with no dressing , foods not even Korean style. I lived in Longview back in the '80s and ate at this place at least once a week for the 8+ years I lived there. We moved out of that part of Texas for a number of years and eventually moved back close enough so we were able go back there recently one evening. Couldn't believe it...it was still as good. Obviously we love Chinese food, and we eat it often...but we haven't found the caliber of this place, even in the DFW area where we live now. Its not fancy, but its clean and the Mr Su and his staff are friendly. We don't eat at the buffet, never have though we hear its good, but order off the menu. My favorite is the Szechuan Beef with their Hot and Sour soup = even 30+ years later. read more
