My sister wanted some broth so I decided to grab some pho while I was there for lunch. The owner was really nice and spoke when I first walked which I was glad of as he was eating lunch in the front. The younger guy who was at the cash register with the iPod in his ear also had a big bowl of pho. I just don't underhand if you on duty why have the kid in your ear first of all then have you lunch right in front of customers? And wonder why customer's orders are always wrong. The selection is minimal and many products have pork in them which I do not eat. So I had to just go with the brisket and steak pho which I was hoping I would see fatty brisket as an option. But there was no option for it. The pho was not flavorful at all and I didn't even have the side of Sriracha that usually comes with the pho to go. When I'm back in town I will have to find another pho place to visit as this one missed the mark for me. read more

We ordered two vermicelli bowls. One chicken and egg roll the other with beef. The chick was good. The egg role was literally 2 inches long, and the beef was not edible - too tough for my wife to chew. Service was good, and waiter was nice. Tables were clean, but the trays with spoons and sriache sauce was sticky and the spoon holder looked like it hadn't been cleaned since they opened. For what you get, it was way overpriced. Even if food had been good, $14-$15/plate is about $4 too much for good Vietnamese food. For this quality, $8 seems more reasonable. We won't be back, and I would suggest it to no one. read more

Just tried this place for the first time. The pho was great! I was super happy with it because we recently moved from DFW & I was afraid that I wouldn't find a good one here. It's actually better! Yes! My only complaint here would be that the sauce packet was tiny. They could be more generous with the sauce. The "plate" is enough for two big bowls of soup but only enough sauce for one. Very flavorful; spicy, slightly sweet, umami, yummy! Grill chicken spring roll (x2) was just okay and I say that because the chicken was dryyyyyyyyyy. So dry I could barely eat it. Good flavor otherwise but it was hard to get past that. Filet mignon & onions with rice was fantastic. A real wow. I had not had it before. It was delish. Hubby loved it. We tried to call before hand to check the time they close and they hanged up on us. So we decided to just drive and give it a chance. Trust me when I say, we really wanted to. My husband ordered the food. And the young man taking the order was beyond rude. My husband got overcharged for a third pho when he only wanted two. They young man told him his total was $60 when we ordered two phos each at $15 and two orders of spring rolls each at $5. When he asked the young man why it was so much the boy just stared at him. He asked what all did I ordered and he replied with "what ever you ordered" My husband then asked for the money back since the total wasn't adding up turns out he had added a third pho. Then the lady in the back came and asked if we really wanted to cancel the order. My husband said well I wanted to eat here and all I wanted was two phos and two orders of spring rolls. She said she was already making it and he said ok that's fine. Keep in mind they were about to close. So we sat outside in their outside furniture and when we began eating the pho was cold. Ever since I moved to Texas, I regularly miss good, AUTHENTIC-tasting Asian food. I was surprised to see this Pho place open up here recently, so I was curious and finally decided to try it out. For those who don't know what Pho is, it's a Vietnamese noodle dish, similar to Japanese Ramen but much different. The soup includes rice noodles and is served with fresh herbs, lime, and bean sprouts that are added in right before you eat it. It's a highly customizable dish--you can order it with beef, pork, seafood, or whatever...and with the addition of hot sauce & chili paste, you can make it as spicy or as mild as you like. Anyway. All I can say is--wow! I was in heaven! I haven't had decent Pho in at least 4 years, so I was thrilled to see that the people who run this place really know what they're doing. After eating there and reading their website; they definitely know their pho, and it's made right. And for those in your family who may not want to try Pho, they have a variety of other dishes that are more of the "Chinese restaurant" type. They have the full menu on their website (and while not the best looking, it's very helpful and detailed) so you can figure out what you want to order before you even get there. The staff are also super friendly and very helpful. If you've never eaten Pho, they will give you a little "tutorial" on how to eat it properly so you get the most out of your meal. And the prices are very reasonable: for less than $10, you get a HUGE bowl of Pho that is guaranteed to fill you up and make you happy. I urge anyone in the Longview area to try Pho. It's not only delicious, but it's also SECRETLY QUITE HEALTHY (SHHHH DON'T TELL YOUR KIDS!), and a fun alternative to the boring old pizza, hamburger, or steak dinners you might be used to around here. For Longview standards this place is good enough, but in comparison to most places in dallas this place pales in comparison in both price and flavor. Personally have a kind of love hate relationship with this place. Been coming here since the day it opened, but never out of my own accord. Usually end up here due to friends "democratic" decree haha. The food here just isnt that great in comparison to other vietnamese places in the big city. The liquid itself is more akin to bullion cubes as apposed to slowly stewed meat broth of properly made pho. Sometimes theres not much meat or ingredients in the pho as well. One thing to note is there are two pho resturants in longview. This one I find everyone tends to like more, though hmm honestly I prefer the other one in town flavor wise. Both are pretty similar though. Will say the other pho in town has some dishes I find quite good, but ita been a while since I've last went to be sure. Anways back on pho saigon. The price as well is a bit high for pho, but in comparison to other resturants in longview its similar so I wont knock it there. The staff though very much a family run kind of resturant with a very loose staff who although very accomidating can be lost in their own world conversing with friends or on their phones. Don't be a stranger to giving out a call to ask for anything if you need assistance. Also a warning. Be careful of customizing your dishes such as if you would prefer egg noodle insteasd of rice noodle, since they may very well charge you for that, and you wont know till your looking at your bill at checkout. Ask if changes will cost you. Also a tip for those really hungry, ask for a real big bowl, and they will make you a serving larger than the large in the menu via a jumbo sized bowl. Albeit it will cost more though understandably (roughly around 12 bucks). Another treat is to ask for a box of fried tofu (sometimes they can or cant make it due to supply) . Its also a fun treat to dip with friends in the condiments they have (its usually asked for by local vietnamese in town for their own home cooking as a base ingredient). With everything said, I personally am not a fan of this place personally. Its a bit grimy from the tables to the menu which dont bother me to much usually, but the food too is a bit underwhelming as well. My sister and I visited here last night. We had no idea this place existed! I ordered the round-eye beef and the brisket pho. Excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed it. My sister ordered the combo fried rice. She enjoyed it as well. I will say about both, though, that if you aren't a big fan of bean sprouts, ask for them taken out. They INUNDATE the fried rice with it. For the pho, they bring out a seperate plate with a wedge of lime, basil, cilantro, bean sprouts. I chose to add a few leaves of cilantro, because cilantro is amazing, and the lime. Bean sprouts just aren't my thing at all. All in all, I loved it. This is our Pho stop when my husband and I come into town. We have been at least 3 times before and have always enjoyed the food. This time around I had a special surprise in my soup. I have a ritual where I fix my pho with the cilantro, mint, hoisin sauce & sriracha and then take a picture before I take my first bite. I love Pho and the food here is really good. It's fresh and the meat is pretty good quality. They did have a waiter who was attentive and friendly. The prices are high and, sadly, they don't have any lunch specials, which are common at other Pho restaurants. What really made me give it only 3 stars is the good waiter is gone. This is a good place to eat considering it one of the only Pho places in the area. We ordered two dishes. One was the beef brisket Pho. This dish was a solid 5. Great flavor, just excellent. The other dish we ordered was the grilled shrimp and pork over rice. The meat on this dish was also excellent. We've been coming here since they first opened a few years ago and I've never really been pleased. The only reason we keep coming back is because we live in Longview, TX and there are just not any other choice for vietnamese. The service is always horrible and tables are always half wiped and sticky. Tonight is the last straw and I'll NEVER return. The only time the server came to the table was to bring us our drinks and food, he never came back to check on us. I ordered a Thai tea and it was filled 3/4 of the way, I asked about that and was informed that's how much they usually fill it. actually they did used to fill it a little more (when I say a little I'm not exaggerating). I sent the tea back there's no way I'm paying for that drink. Then we ordered the A1 spring rolls, the wrapper on the spring rolls were HARD which means it's not fresh! How do you serve people food like this?! Pho Siagon in Longview is not the only vietnamese restaurant I've been too I know better. EXTREMELY disappointment on this visit and we will NEVER return! I don't expect good service when I go and this time enough was enough! If I could rate them NO STARS on Yelp I definitely would. The sad and worse part about all of this is the owners don't even care, if you complain they'll look at you and think you're the problem!
