This was a great visit we had a while back. The Lemongrass Shrimp on Vermicelli Stir Fry was my favorite. The Eggrolls wrapped in lettuce and basil leaves and dipped in spiced up sauce was very tasty. The Pho Soup was tasty. My fellow eater liked his Shrimp&Beef&Chicken with Broccoli/Carrot Stir Fry. Most of the good posts about this place are old and I think the food I got might have been just as old! I ordered hot tea and grilled pork spring rolls... The pork might have been grilled but I'm not sure when? I should have walked out the door when I heard the microwave door close and it start, everything in the roll was fresh but the meat, it tasted bland meat was hard and had the texture of pork jerkey, do yourself a favor and save yourself the stomach ache and drive right by this place. Sadly the best thing about this place was the tea wish I could be like Gordon Ramsey and just stick my finger down my throat right about now... If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

Coming from Houston and growing up with authentic Vietnamese food cooked by my parents, I would say this place has delicious authentic fresh pho. Pho is a beef noodle soup if you didn't know. The good: They really are Vietnamese. The owner could be my aunt. They use authentic ingredients and their Pho is fresh! It's not from powder add water. Cons: The lack of fresh vegetables and herbs on the grilled pork plate. If you just ask, you shall receive. What's authentic? Most of the menu. But bo luc lac served on french fries? Got to try it before I judge. What to get? Pho. I mean that's the name of the place right? If you're complaining about the service---yes you don't get white table cloth service. That's because it's a Vietnamese restaurant and you're paying less than $10 for your meal. If you want more water, ask for it...they don't bite. read more

Good, standard pho here. Broth is on point, which every pho lover knows is the make or break. I got the #14 special soup which has beef flank and meatballs. The flank was dry but the meatballs were tasty. I also ordered the lychee drink that was $2 for a couple of lychee but not enough drink. Still yummy though! I came here alone so I was wary about the area of this restaurant. Seemed a little jenky, plus for a Saturday night it was just me and another couple dining in. No music is playing inside so it's just very quiet. I was the last person left; I noticed the place closes at 8, so I got up to pay at 7:45... After leaving the restaurant and going to my car, I looked back and saw that the lights of the place were entirely off already. It kind of spooked me to be the only person in the parking lot so I quickly hopped in my car. I can't see myself coming here with a group of people bc the lady who owns it seems to be running the whole joint. Food came out at a regular pace, but mind you I was dining alone. I'll start off saying that I went here twice a few months ago and all I had was the chicken pho. The soup was really good and I think it's better than pho saigon in terms of flavor and quality. Both times I went, it was basically an empty room. I did not go on the off hours I should add. There was only one woman who was working and she was really sweet. I had a brief conversation with her and she said service has been slow since covid. It doesn't help that it's difficult to see/get to the restaurant due to the very close signal light and steady traffic going back and forth. The missing stars are due to the condition of the restaurant itself. The place is dirty and in desperate need of a makeover. There are pictures on the walls of the various menu items that are so old the colors have faded. The front desk is in an awkward position and it's difficult to get around. There's dirt and gunk caked on the floor and chairs. I really want this place to succeed because the owner is so sweet but I'm not sure it will. read more

This place is a joke. Serious joke. The owner lady wasn't nice but I don't really care because I wanted pho. I got their brisket and tendon pho. I hear microwave beeping. Ummmm I was the only one there. I ordered pho. Why is there a need for microwave? The soup comes out and it is PIPING HOT. Like beyond hot. I look at the sauce bottles and it is just dirty. Some are empty. Some have sticky residue on them. Who knows when the bottles were cleaned. The soup had bits and pieces of black stuff. The basil was dark brown... Rotten. Yeah options are limited but this place is just not right. It is unsanitary too. Don't eat here. read more

I used to go to this restaurant a lot. However.....the last time I ate here, I watched as the waitress cleared the table next to ours. She took the glasses to the sink, rinsed them and set them upside down next to what I thought were clean glasses. Then as I was paying for my lunch at the counter, I noticed the same waitress grab two glasses from the same stack and fill them with tea for a couple who had just arrived. YUK!! Very nice late lunch at a restaurant that was new to me -- Pho, in Longview, Texas. Excellent spring rolls, a decent grilled peak over rice, and a truly superior shrimp with lemon grass over pho noodles. Unless you have an asbestos tongue, don't ask for very spicy. My girlfriend did, and our very helpful waitress, just looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Is that too hot?" the GF asked. "I like real spicy things.". The waitress cocked her eyebrows again. "Or would medium spicy be better?" the GF asked. The waitress nodded (wisely, it turns out). I've been disappointed before when this sort of thing happens in an ethnic restaurant and you end up with bland food. But not to worry here. The dish was full of spice and flavor. I wouldn't have wanted it any more spicy and might have had it half a notch lower. My girlfriend said it was just right. But an excellent (and modestly priced meal) all around. My lil girl and I ate here yesterday and we loved it! I had the chicken lemongrass in coconut milk vermicelli and shrimp spring rolls. It's was the best Vietnamese food I'd had since Bentonville, AR. Even my picky eater dug-in and finished off her egg rolls and fried rice. Diffidently go there again maybe today with the rest of my heard! O and before you go, head over next door to the Haute Goat Creamery....really good handmade artisan cheese made onsite. read more

Been eating here over two years at least once a month and still love the food. Not a fancy place, but the noodle soup is right on target. Amazing broth always served with plenty of Thai basil, fresh bean sprouts, and a spritz of lime. Choices of meats including, chicken, shrimp and pork (my favorite), or chicken, shrimp, and beef to name a few. Many other items besides the Pho itself. One of our seasonal favorites is the Vietnamese Clover with beef. Wonderful. This is definitely a must try for anyone who isn't familiar with Pho and a great stop for those Pho aficionados. read more

First time I had Pho was in Corona California and it was one of the best. when we move back to east Texas I was worried and sad because I travel sooo much that my pallet is so use to tasting good food from many cultures. My expectations of food have become higher. I am beyond happy with this amazing place I will come back for sure. Spring Rolls, good & fresh. Peanut Sauce was watery. Soup was good - but the Nuoc Mam (fish sauce) to add to the soup, was sweet. Yuk! Really through me off. This is just my opinion. People must like it - but, I want the fish sauce to be salty. read more

I probably should have heeded the advice of other reviews.. but I wanted to try for myself. If atmosphere is something that influences your experience, this is not the place for you. There was no AC, just fans, and sheets hanging on the windows. I got my food to-go to eat at work, and everything was packaged fairly nicely. I ordered the beef pho and shrimp spring rolls. Very disappointed in the spring rolls. The shrimp were burnt and the majority of the crispies off the grill were in the roll. See pics below. The soup came in a styrofoam cup with a to go box with the fixings. I feel like the broth was just chicken broth with a few pieces of beef thrown in. Probably wouldn't visit again. read more

I was really excited to try this place out. I'm a city girl from Southern Cali and I had my expectations. Overall, the place was just ok. The Pho broth was delicious, but I felt they could've been a little bit more generous with the meat portions. I had maybe 4 very small slices of steak flank in my entire bowl. The owners could've have been a bit friendlier. It took them a while to finally wait on us and it wasn't even busy. The decor of the restaurant definitely needed a lift. I have had a few different things from here and all of them were tasty. Don't hesitate to try new things here. My favorite is probably the chicken lemongrass over noodles (I get medium heat which is decently hot,but still lets the other flavors through). Menu has many interesting things on it, many of them were seasonal (lychee, and Vietnamese clover) Not sure if the stock was made there, a bit salty. Prices were high, meal was bare (first time I have ever had a single meatball sliced, as the meatball of a bowl of Pho. I may have caught her on an off hour or day. We have been going to Pho since they open and are very happy with the food. Some things can be improved, the atmosphere, the service, but I come here for the food. Not greasy, well prepared, and very authentic. I would suggest a few changes such as separating the check out and storage area from the dining areas as it seems it has caused some negative reviews. I have never seen anything like the one comment on unsanitary conditions and we eat there at least every other week, if not weekly. read more

I'm convinced we don't know how lucky we are to possess great Vietnamese food in this town. Any of their lemon-grass dishes are excellent if you like spicy food. (but don't try to act tough when Rosie asks "how spicy?") Definitely try the egg rolls. I only gave it 4 stars because of the atmosphere and unfortunate location. (A window table will get you a lovely view of the coffin-on-a-stick funeral home across the street.) It gets a little crowded and loud around noon, but if you go earlier or later you should get a table. Order their french press ice coffee for dessert. That coffee kicked off many a successful all-nighter in college. So yummy that I wanted to turn my straw inside-out to get every drop. read more
