First time writing a review, but wanted to do so to let others know. I am not one to be too picky with service unless you do something drastic like spit in the food or something. But it isn't the service I would have to complain about but the food itself. They brought two plates of egg rolls when our table ordered one ,but I didn't say anything and just dealt with it. The problem I did have was that they were borderline burnt, and extremely over cooked, but one of the waiters said that it was that brown in the picture ( when it wasn't) it was evident in the taste. And then they brought out he wrong food, but luckily they figured out it was for the other table. And one of dishes we asked for peanuts on the side since I was allergic, but they failed to do so. We just kept the dish anyways since we didn't wanna cause too much of a hassle. Another dish we had ordered was a crispy noodle/birds nest type of thing and the noodles on that were extremely burnt! Not to the point that they were black but just overly browned. It didn't look that bad, but it tasted more burnt than it looked. The waiter that served us seemed nice enough and was attentive. And I'm sure if we were persistent enough they would've changed our orders, but right off the bat it wasn't the most pleasant experience. I also think the food is way too overpriced for the quality of what your getting (esp not that much meat) but that might be a more personal opinion since I usually go to larger cities for Asian food. They use great quality meat in their dishes. I love the eye of round phó and the combination fried rice.

While the quality of the vegetables can be somewhat inconsistent, their charcoal broiled pork and rice is usually on point. The egg rolls are always good and this is really your best/only option for Vietnamese food in Longview as far as I know. I've lived in SoCal, Houston and Austin, so my food expectations are high. I love the family that owns it- their kids are always very polite. They may not provide the quality of service that very picky, entitled (old?lol) people expect, but it's good enough for us! read more

The Beef Pho is an OK soup but it is far from an authentic Pho. It was missing all the Pho spices that will entice your taste buds to not stop eating it. Try elsewhere. read more

Food was mediocre, we were rushed to leave so I guess the owner or manager could leave, he turned the open signs off 45 minutes to the place actually being closed. Not a very good experience. The upside was the older gentleman was friendly and polite. Do not visit over lunch: we had only 45 minutes to eat, and had eaten here before. The host gestured us to our table, took several other table's orders, and disappeared into the kitchen. 10 minutes later the host, who was apparently also the cook, hadn't stepped out of the kitchen, let alone take our order for food or drinks. Walked in to a comfy atmosphere with some strange soft jazz music playing in the background. We were seated and presented with a menu containing a ton of great sounding items. This is quite the overdue review - I came here with a huge bunch of friends in October. It's a decent place for groups, but keep in mind that your massive group might be the only big group that they can accommodate in one seating! The servers are super young, so be patient with them. The food is really good! Especially their brisket pho. Their spring rolls are also delicious. All their fried rice dishes were a hit, especially the duck versions! Their beverages however are very substandard. If you really want a beverage, be sure to ask them to go easy on the ice so you can actually taste your drink! read more

Went there for lunch today for the first time. First off my wife said she thought it was warm. She is very cold natured. It was very warm and stuffy to me. By the time we received our food I was already wiping perspiration from me forehead. By the end of the meal my tshirt was damp. We had 3 miniature egg rolls and two bowls of combination fried rice which consisted of a little shrimp, pork, and chicken. The meal with 1 iced tea was right at $25. It was ok but nothing special. A bit overpriced in my opinion for two bowls of rice and those tiny egg rolls. By the time we were finished and back in our truck we kicked the AC on high so we could cool down. If we go again it will be in much cooler weather so we can at least be comfortable. read more

This is an ok place to eat. When I was there, there were several tables that needed cleaned before any new customers could sit. I was waited on by young children who were much more interested in what they were doing that my presence interrupted. The food was no where near what I was hoping for. I always LOVED going to the Pho's in Longview, and I was so thrilled when I discovered the one in Tyler owned by the same family. But somehow the quality of the food in the Longview Pho's is still better. The one in Tyler is still pretty decent though. Vietnamese food is so nice on those cold, rainy days or on days where you feel like you're coming down with a cold. Try the jasmine tea and the spring and egg rolls! Its spring rolls are good but lack some kind of herb that I taste in other Vietnamese restaurants. The owner of the place seemed a little racist to me. I had ordered $30 worth of food to go, and when I went to pick it up, I had two small starbucks mugs, which I threw in trash bin in restaurant toilet. He immediately started saying "why are you throwing trash my cans"? I thought he was kidding, so I laughed, and he said, it is not funny! Then I paid $30 in 10 and 20 bill and paid remaining 69 cents in change (I wanted to save his small business credit card transaction costs, how inconsiderate of me), and he said, why are you giving me change? I still did not mind it, whatever. Later, when order came, I asked for empty small container for hot sauce, and he just lost it, started saying " there is hot sauce on tables over there, just pour it on your food! If you want hot sauce, pour yourself, you keep wanting hot sauce!" and kept repeating it and said, move to the side so that I can talk to others. I could have ignored it again as him having a bad day, but he was overly friendly to non-colored patrons, so I realized to never come back here again. It was an eye opening experience. read more

I would love to give this place 5 stars because the food was excellent. However, the customer service is the most horrible I have ever experienced. The food was prepared as ordered and arrived to our table quickly. We enjoyed the food, it was really delicious. There seems to be a theme with this restaurant's Yelp reviews due to the very poor customer service. Our waiter was the rudest waiter I have ever had, he hurried us and when I let him know we had a few questions about the menu, he basically rolled his eyes. He stayed about 8 feet from our table while talking to us, which I think is so very rude. He was basically unconcerned about anything I needed to ask. The iced tea was terrible-it tasted like it was soured. The waiter even admitted that it had probably been sitting out. I sent it back and got water. What a shame to have this terrible waiter in here, or we would come back regularly. I will not step foot back in this place if I see this guy again. Best way to describe him is a grey haired middle-aged man. read more
