The egg roll is really good and huge! I loved the service altogether, they were very kind from the moment we walked in, and the price was genuinely so fair for two people! I usually expect to pay $40 minimum for two people. The portions were amazing too! The ambiance was peaceful and perfect for us who were just coming through town for a quick bite while on the road. We stopped here on our way to Houston. Not going to lie, it was dark when we pulled up and there were not many cars, looked a little sus. However, the food and service were awesome! We ordered two hot and sour soups (so, so good), two egg-rolls (I would come just for those), jalapeño Rangoon, garlic chicken and yen sho beef (both delicious) plus two ice teas for only $36. This is good Chinese Food.....a popular place in Marshall! It is made to order every time. We have been here maybe a dozen times over the years.... Oriental Food is not really our go to food but if it was we probably would be here more. We have liked everything we have eaten from the General Tso Chicken to the Potstickers, the Combination Fried Rice or Shrimp Fried Rice, the Fried Wanton and the Egg Drop Soup and the Egg rolls..... All but the Pad Thai which we were excited about but have had much better. The setting is in an old restaurant.... like an old Del Taco or something. It fits in the experience. You always get some fortune cookies and we once all got some negative ones as a group which was funny. It is a good visit usually. read more

I ordered twice cooked pork to-go. Twice cooked pork is suppose to be a thin and fatty slice of pork but the slices they gave me were chewy. It just seemed like the pork was drenched in sauce. Also, over 80% of the dish were a variety of vegetables, also drowned in the pork sauce. While eating vegetables is good, I was definitely expecting at least a decent amount of pork since the dish name does not hint at anything related to greens. And surprise, surprise, the sauce overflowed into the togo bag as well. The staff was friendly and attentive. And the food came out within 10 minutes. Overall, however, this place is definitely not considered authentic Chinese food. read more

A dimly lit delight. My visit was around 7:30 on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was full of mouth-watering aromas. Service was friendly, quick, and concise. After ordering cashew chicken and hot & sour soup, my order was cooked within eyesight and served promptly. The dish was served with perfectly steamed brown rice. The entree was rich and savory, With just a hint of sweetness like what you get with caramelized onions. It was LOADED with veggies that seemed to be fresh. A perfect portion for about eight dollars. My one point of dissent is the hot & sour soup. It lacked both hot and sour. It was weak. You could almost call it an enhanced egg drop soup. The texture of hot & sour is all there, but this soup needs work on flavor. The bottom line: my entree was well-balanced and service was great. Despite the soupfail, I don't see any reason I shouldn't visit Peking again. Try the cashew chicken! read more

I Also ordered a Hot & Sour soup and I swear it tasted like dirty dish water, like i love hot & sour soup but that wasnt even close. The color was off soup was bland with a slight taste of metal. Like i get it, it could be like a China-Tex food but nah. I see why they are in Texas cause they'd go out of business for sure in the Tri State area.
