People come for the food and appreciate the service!! Enjoyed the war wonton soup for two as well, not pictured. Honey Walnut Shrimp: 3.5 out of 5, the sauce is a bit sweet and generic. The shrimp and huge walnuts are delicious. BBQ Pork fried rice: 4 out of 5, good rice with a nice amount of BBQ pork chunks. Steamed sliced chicken w/vegetables: 5 out of 5!! Huge portion of sliced chicken and great mixed veggies. Clean meal, no sauces. All the portions were big for sharing...because we know what sharing is! The service is always fantastic, but they lose a star for the cleanliness of their restrooms. The mens restroom is on life support, that's one very bad urinal and I'm being kind. The curtains acting as bathroom doors are pretty filthy as well, I didn't even want to touch them. But hey, if you don't use the restroom, there you go, no worries.

I ordered through Postmates, the order was quick and all my food was hot. The first item ordered was the Spring rolls which were cooked perfectly, but had some kind of flavor I was not appreciative of. Doesn't mean other people wouldn't like them, trust me, it's a me thing. Also ordered the Kung Pao with fried rice and holy chestnuts!! It's so hard to get a good Kung Pao with chestnuts these days! Not to mention the portion was huge. It's going to take me at least three to four days to finish all this food. But that's because I also ordered the Mongolian Beef, which I asked for to be spicy. When I opened that, I was a bit nervous. You know how you kind of cringe trying beef at a new place? That was the feeling I had, but I was presently surprised. It was not Chewy, grisly or tough and the mushrooms were awesome. I wished it was about five times spicer, but again, that's a me thing. All and all, I would absolutely order from Pick up Stix again. Fresh, tasty food and so much of it, at an affordable price, which you really can't say that about much these days. Lastly, their Chow Mein and Fried Rice and pretty great. I preferred the Chow Mein over the Fried rice, which is usually the other way around, so we'll done. I also love tofu, so that is next on my list!

We agreed, and as he headed toward the kitchen, he even asked which soup we wanted with our lunch specials. I want to emphasize that our waiter was genuinely trying to help us. He was friendly, attentive, and clearly making an effort to accommodate us before the lunch special ended. A+ effort on his part. Unfortunately, less than a couple of minutes later, around 3:02 p.m., our waiter returned and told us it was already too late to order the lunch special. We honestly didn't mind. Grand Panda has very good food, and we were happy to order from the regular menu and planned to order enough to take leftovers home. What bothered us was what happened afterward. A female employee, who appeared to be a manager and whom we understood to be named Lee, began arguing very loudly with our waiter. The argument was loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear. They were speaking Chinese, so we could not understand exactly what was being said, and I don't want to speculate about the details. However, from the timing and circumstances, it appeared to be related to the lunch-special situation. The entire interaction made us extremely uncomfortable and completely changed the atmosphere of our meal. Instead of enjoying dinner, we found ourselves feeling bad for our waiter, who had done nothing but try to provide us with good customer service. The food was good, as it has been on our previous visits, but unfortunately the experience was overshadowed by the loud confrontation. Customers should not have to sit through an argument between staff members while trying to enjoy their meal, especially when it can be handled privately. I hope management addresses situations like this differently in the future. Our waiter deserves recognition for trying to take care of his customers, and guests deserve a comfortable environment in which to enjoy the restaurant's otherwise very good food.

China Wok had decent reviews and it was convenient. Just WOW! It was a weeknight and wasn't sure what to expect for a crowded restaurant or wait time. Turns out this little gem of a restaurant is run by the sweetest lady and a chef. The lady does everything in the front of the house, server, busser and cashier, and probably everything else outside of the kitchen.
