Service and cleanliness were very good. Server offered samples of a new entree, Peking Pork, it was so good I ordered it. Described as sweet and sour, not a fan, but this was really good. Only complaint was the chow mein noodles look appetizing, but they were dry. Not sure how to remedy that. Overall good visit. read more

I am starting to believe there is not a decent food place in Show Low. I'm not trying to be rude but good hell. Their Orange Chicken was sub part at best. My walnut shrimp tasted like it was fried in mayonnaise, and the Kung pow wasn't it's usual standard. Generally I like Panda Express but at this one in the Walmart parking lot in Show Low, AZ, you never know what you're going to get. One time the Kung Pao chicken is meaty and delicious, next time - TODAY - it was all zucchini, almost no chicken, and HOTTER THAN BLAZES. I eat Thai food and Mexican food; I like a jalapeño, but this was INEDIBLE. Also, usually the chow mien has noodles, cabbage shreds, onions, and flavor. Today it was just dry, barely cooked noodles, and HOT as if the same cook had blasted it with chili peppers just like the Kung Pao. There were no vegetables in it at all. The bowl my husband had was worse. The fried rice tasted like it was days old. Everything was dry and hot. Threw it all away. They always make you wait ten minutes while the rest of your order gets cold if you want the "mixed greens" which used to be good but is now all broccoli and kale, and is never prepared. read more

I have never really been a fan of Panda Express! Well, the team at this panda changed my mind tonight! I walked in at 6:54 pm. I am pretty certain every single employee available welcomed me. I ordered 4 dinners and spring rolls. They offered me samples to help decide what entrees to order for everyone. When one young man had to ring the lady in front of me up, the other young man jumped right in to finish helping me. They were very nice and welcoming. They let me take the time I needed to order. They were helpful to each other. When I asked if they accepted tips they said they collected for the children's hospital (where my daughter goes)and would love it if I donated to them. I did that happily. I'm so very glad that they changed my Mind. The other restaurants that serve similar foods up here taste awful sometimes. They are buffets so the money to food ratio is great, whereas with panda the entree portions are pretty Tiny in comparison, for the money you pay. But the food at this particular panda was amazing! Very fresh! The flavors were perfect. The service was impeccable. The restaurant was clean. All of this in ten minutes. I was backing up in my car at 7:06pm. It is the 27th of April. Inconsistent! Both my children eat orange chicken and each time it has a different spiciness to it. One time it's great, the next time it's so spicy neither of them can eat it. I never know. When it's so spicy it a waste of my money. I really don't enjoy dining our local establishment. read more

The food was great but a few things made my stay unwelcome. First of all I, along with about 5 other customers stood and waited while 3 of the employees finished their conversation. Second of all the lobby was a mess, the trash was overflowing and it looked as if it hadn't been swept yet for the day. Lastly the food portions were so small and the fact that I had to get fried rice, which I'm allergic to rice, as a side because it was more expensive than just two entres just Irritated me. Stopped to get dinner at drive-thru to take home. When I got all the way home (Show Low to Vernon), I dumped my third entree item (Mushroom Chicken) from my Bigger Plate onto a plate. I should have taken a picture. Seven pieces of squash, about seven teensy bits of chicken and two little mushroom slivers. The worst serving I've ever had from any and all of the Panda Expresses that I have visited (all the way to West Virginia). I don't know if it was to get at me for asking for teriyaki sauce in the cups and not the packets due to the fact that I do not like pre-packaged sauces, but I offered to go inside to retrieve my sauces in cups since she informed me I could only have packets from the drive-thru. She went ahead and included the cups of teriyaki which I GREATLY appreciated (at the drive-thru), but I was surprised-no-SHOCKED at the skimpy serving size. And just to sum it up, the attitude in the Show Low location really needs to improve in general. If it keeps happening, our large family will be taking our business elsewhere. And Panda Express is our favorite "fast food" up here on this mountain. And we frequent this location at least once a week, sometimes more. read more

I usually don't care enough to leave reviews, but this was so unbelievably stupid that I had to share. First off, I waited in line forever. It was nuts. Like 20 minutes nuts. No biggie since I wasn't in a rush. Finally get to the mic to place my order and I wait another five minutes before someone comes on. Very bizarre. I ask for fried rice and am abruptly told, "We don't have fried rice. White or brown only." Okay, white it is. I order my entrees. Good to go. She asks me for something to drink. I ask for lemonade. She says, "We don't have anymore lemonade." Now I'm starting to get annoyed. I ask, "Do you have anything else that is a non-soda?" She says, I'm not making this up, "We have Pepsi." What?! I say, "But that's a soda. Nevermind, I'll take a medium ice water please." She says, and I swear I'm not making this stuff up, "Yes, but I have to charge you for the cup." Say what?! I say, "You're messing with me right?" She says, "No sir, I have to charge you for the cup." I say, "But you're out of two things that I wanted, don't think it would make sense to eat the ten cents in the name of customer service and hook me up with a free ice water?" She says, "I'm sorry sir, I can't." I say, "I bet your manager could." She says, "I am the Manager." WHAT?! WHAT?! So I say, "Well then you are not a very good manager." I pull around and now I want to get her name because I'm so annoyed on the principle of this whole thing alone that I need to know the name of this manger. She says her name is Maria. I ask her what her last name is, she won't tell me. Fair enough. I say, "I just want to make sure you're not messing with me. You are out of two if the items that I want, which is not the greatest customer service to begin with but I get that it happens. All you need to do to keep this long time Panda fan happy is kick in a ten cent cup of ice water for free, and you, the manager, are telling me that instead, you're going to let me drive off annoyed without buying the meal I ordered?" She says, "I can give you a little courtesy cup of water." I just drove off in unbelief. I went to Wendy's next door. Just for fun I asked for a medium cup of ice water. Guest what? I've been coming here for a year now and have always had pretty decent service, but tonight was absolutely ridiculous. Given the fact that its a small town and only one Panda Express in the area I drove 15 miles to the store. I ordered a 2 item combo with teriyaki chicken and white rice which is the same thing I always get. Once I got home I realized they had forgotten to give me the sauce for the chicken so essentially all I received was plane chicken and rice. By the time I got home and realized this, it was a few minutes after that Panda stopped serving food. I called to ask if I could come back, even though I have a broken leg and its a pain in the rear to do ANYTHING, and get some of the sauce, but they told me they had thrown it out. I was a little irritated with that and asked what they could do to make that up due to the fact I just paid $10 for plain chicken and rice which I could easily just make at home. One employee proceeded to argue with me and tell me that because I didn't specifically ask for the teriyaki sauce it was my fault lol.. Apparently when you order TERIYAKI chicken you must also specify that you also want the TERIYAKI chicken to come with TERIYAKI sauce.. I then asked to speak with the manager, who I thought would make things right, but she only offered me 1 free side entree even though they messed up and ruined my TWO item combo plate. She was very combative and proceeding to argue with me for 5 minutes above why she was right lol. Her reasoning was that they gave me exactly what I wanted and only forgot the sauce... While that may be true, the fact that they didn't give me the sauce ruined my entire meal and therefore that is what I should receive on my next visit without charge. Anyways, I've never had a problem with this place, but it seems to be going down hill rapidly.. Also, I work at a restaurant and because of that I have NEVER complained about any type of food establishment even if the service is poor, but this was pathetic. WOW read more

My husband and I had the privilege to be served by the most courteous young man at Panda Express in Showlow Az. The food was delicious, and Daniel, our server deserves a 5 star rating for his genuine concern that our meal be the best it could be, While we were in the restaurant we observed his cheerful attitude effect everyone there. He was serving, cleaning tables, taking out the trash, cleaning the drink station, and all this while he smiled and visited with customers and other coworkers. When I walked in, I should have turned around and left as soon as I saw mud all over the floor. Ordered my food at the counter, the counter person prepared it and...walked away. Several minutes went by before finally I had to ask her if I could please pay and eat my food. She did not appear to understand, so a few seconds ticked by with her just looking at me before someone else took my dish to the register. The food tasted as if it had been on the steam table for a couple of days. As I was leaving, the young man who was finally getting the mud off the floor said "Have a nice day."
