Excellent food! We very much enjoyed our dinner we were traveling from California to New Mexico. We saw the China buffet and thought maybe we can try it. We're so glad we did. The food was delicious. The pepper steak was fabulous. Broccoli beef was excellent. we also enjoyed the sweet-and-sour dishes, sweet-and-sour chicken. It was very good. It was nice and clean. Finally a legit Chinese buffet! I haven't had a Chinese buffet that good in a long time they even had teriyaki chicken with that thick sweet glaze delicious! Everything was fresh, I feel like they cook according to the amount of ppl who come in so nothing sits for very long well done! You can see the kitchen it's very clean. I wouldn't come back here even if it was free. the food was all cold and clearly from the day before. There were 2 other people here the whole time we were here and I didn't see either of them eating, and it was peak dinner time. So either they're throwing away an entire buffet full of food or they're serving it again tomorrow. There was one salad dressing option, so I hope you like ranch. And the rest of the food I ate out of pity and sadness that I paid for this stale old food. My dad chose this place after a long day of hiking at the Petrified Forest National Park. We came on a Tuesday around 7 pm. The outside had plenty of parking and the inside had about 10 booths or so in the front area. There were a few parties and multiple to-go orders throughout the night. The guy working as the cashier was very friendly and spoke mandarin. We paid up front and it was $12.99 per person. There were 3 food stations. One had fruit and dessert and the other two had hot food, including vegetables, meats, and soups, mostly typical items at your average Chinese buffet. Despite the comparatively limited options, we left stuffed and satisfied. I enjoyed drinking the egg drop soup with some of the savory dishes' sauce mixed in to give it some more umami. I was really surprised that this restaurant was rated as high as it was. When we arrived we were greeted by a woman who had a baby strapped to her. There were flies on the windows and in the other section of the restaurant where more seating could be used, they had their kids playing and one of the little girls was riding her bike (with training wheels). The food was ok, but we have been to quite a few buffets and this one was just subpar. I want to give them 0 stars, but the food was very tasty. I am a highly sensitive to MSG and called ahead and asked if they used it and they said no. It was very reasonably priced for the freshness, quality and variety. However 20 min after eating I got a severe headache, dry mouth and drowsiness. I was driving and had to pull over and have my husband drive, so I could sleep it off. A lot of ppl think MSG sensitivity isn't real, but I know it is, as these are my symptoms every time I eat it. It's not ok to either lie to your customers or not know what's in your food. This is definitely a hole in the wall restaurant in grand opening there was several good dishes there they had a great salad bar the decor was relatively new and it was a very clean restaurant some of the food was extremely bland. There were a number of tasty choices at the buffet for entrees. Some things were deep-fried. They had dumplings, egg rolls, fish, chicken, and shrimp. There were traditional Chinese dishes, rice , noodles, 2 soups, ribs, several meat and vegetable dishes. The dessert table included Jello, orange wedges, canned pineapple, and canned peach slices. 2 boxes that held small cakes. I might have preferred small squares of sticky rice cake or fortune cookies to the pastry they had, but that is the nature of a buffet. I would go back again if I were in the area. Service was good. Stopped nearby to get gas along I40 at lunch time and thought it would be a quick lunch and looked at reviews and seeing 4.1 stars I thought okay this should be decent. My first sign that it might not live up to the 4 star rating was how cold the temperate was when I entered the restaurant. had to be between 60-65 degrees. On a positive note the warming trays were emitting a large amount of steam and food contained in them hot. The selection of choices was typical of a smaller asian buffet but there was some of the basic options found at most places. As I said it was lunch time (noonish) and only about 6 other people when I arrived. Most items had been picked over probably from the first serving. I had to wait about 15 mins before a few fresh items were brought out. For my taste the only entree that kept my rating from being 1 star was the green bean chicken.
