Great place for lunch or dinner. Service is usually very fast and there is plenty of choices in food. You can mix and match noodles and rice which is always nice. Pretty good service. Very nice staff. The only problem is, the portions are not consistent. You can see. In peak hours they don't put as much as when they have few customers. Owner whoever you are this has got to stop not only are there begging in your facility they're very rude disrespectful and the portions that they're issuing out to the public are incredibly unheard of I live in Concord and they give us ample for our money which we don't have a problem with paying at all. Your basic american chinese food. The foods decent, I've never had a bad meal there, although on a couple occasions I have gotten home to realize something did not make it into my takeout bag. it wouldn't be bad If it only happened once but this has happened on multipule occasions. I got a medium Surf and Turf to go and they claimed that it costs $2 more than other dishes. It came to $9 before taxes! I could have gotten a large (twice the size) order of something similar at any no-name Chinese take-out places. So Surf and Turf must be really good if they asks for two dollars extra, right? Well, it had a lot of potato filler. Potato in Chinese food? The place is designed so you can't see the menu until you reach the checkout and pricing was very unclear. I went by because I had a coupon for a small order of orange chicken (really tiny) and felt obligated to buy something else. When we walked into this location, the line was to the door with customers. Several people had big lists and were obviously ordering big family dinners. The servers remained pleasant and cheerful and filled the orders efficiently, never seeming to get flustered. It looked stressful to me, but they handled it very well, with smiles on their faces. People have told me never to buy food from this Panda Express, but late one night driving home with my 9year old niece after her Volleyball tournament, I did. So I have heard that this place is dirty, the servers are rude and one of my friends once found a piece of hair in it. You would think that this would deter me, but instead when you have a young lady in your car and its 830pm and you know places are about to close and all your niece wants Panda and off the freeway you see this one, you go. The shop was closing up so they were running out of items, which is understandable. Here's what happened to me, which I just didn't agree on. They write your name on your to go plate, they pre-stuff with rice and you're looking what to order, the girl behind me has rice on hers but decides she doesn't want the food, so they put back whatever food she chose and just dumped it back to the server plates. You see her rice plate getting thrown back in the rice cooker, her food, etc.... I don't think food hygiene is a priority here. The girl (I'll leave nameless - but rolled her eyes) tried to sell me the previous girls food, and I didn't want it, I said please get me a new plate of rice not that girls. They refused, so I refused to continue buying food there. read more

MOLDY BROCCOLI AND THEY IGNORED IT when I pointed it out. Visited 2/3/16 around 7pm. Had lg mixed veggies from batch already there and new batch just cooked. Went home. BOTH had moldy broccoli! Not my imagination; taste was bitter and acrid, like I was eating bad broccoli, and when I spit it out, saw brown & black areas on the broccoli. Arrived back at store about an hour later to get replacement but I could even see their new batch had mold in at least 1 piece (bushy part had black parts; no not mushroom nor sauce since there's no sauce) and another had brown patches (i.e. bad!) Pointed it out. They looked and just threw that piece away!...then asked me if I wanted a new box from that batch...(!!!!!!) I asked them to check their broccoli; their answer w/o checking: "we do." Food safety is obviously not a priority. I asked for a refund and am never coming back to this location. If you were sick from eating there that evening, the above is why. read more

About a month ago I went there and I think I won't be going back again. The employee who was cooking was munching on pineapple from his work area and just stood there grabbing the pinnaple and preparing the food. I let the person serving the food know what he was doing and she told me I will talk to him. As I was telling her he continued to munch on the pinnaple and told her to turn around and observe him doing it. She walked over and told him that he can't be doing that. She apologized, but never did the employee bother to wash his hands after grabbing the food and pitting it in his mouth. He continued to prepare the food. Been eating at this specific location for probably the last 4 years and never had a single problem. Fast service, friendly enough employees, and hot, flavorful food. Consistent quality, you know what you're getting here. Generous portions as well. We always get take-out and it's still hot when we get home. I like this Panda Express location in Pinole more than others because the food here is prepared fresh and the taste is more consistent than other nearby locations. Order food to go from Panda Express. Ordered Kung pow chicken and fried rice which was horrible made me sick to my stomach. Generally the food is ok but tonight made me sick. I noticed no one ordered it except one person in front of me. She ordered hers to go also. Mine was cold. Did not know until I came home. Then the cashier asked if I wanted any sauce told her no. She then put chili sauce and soy sauce in the bag. Which nothing we ordered needed chili sauce. Horrible! What a nightmare! Cost they charged me 22.01 for the rice bowl and an 3 entree and a side and two drinks and a box of fortune cookies (1.95). I have been coming to this location for take out for YEARS & never encountered a problem, until tonight. I went to have dinner with my parents & my infant, i sat at a table with my baby as my parents were ordering. My mother asked for a plate with chow mein, orange chicken & broccoli only from the veggies & came over to switch places with me so I could place my order. Somehow there was a confusion when my mother received her order & received Kung pao chicken & a side of broccoli beef instead of just broccoli. My parents tried to explain to the employee that the order was incorrect & tried asking if those items could just be switched (FYI they are not fluent in English) . The employee named Josephine Bi (Name tag only says JOE) seemed frustrated & didn't even listen, just waived her hands at them and said OKAY, OKAY & then came back to our table & placed a small side box on our table. We opened it and once again she gave us broccoli beef. I got up & went over to take the 2 sides back & was explaining to another employee that We had been given the wrong thing again and simply just wanted to switch when Josephine exclaimed with attitude SHE ASKED FOR BROCCOLI SO I GAVE HER BROCCOLI & the employee told me that Josephine was the person in charge & that she said not to switch it because she had already given us the broccoli beef. Josephine at that point was in between the customers in line & told the other employees very loudly "Just give it to them, They don't know how to speak & explain what they wanted right, SOOO ANNOYING" I have never been so humiliated / infuriated in my life. It took A LOT out of me to stand there & not say something back to her as she disrespected us that way. My family owns restaurants around the bay & I would hate to have an employee with such horrible customer service as herself. Sad to say my family & I will not be going back to this location thanks to Josephine. Management should rethink Josephine's employment with PANDA as they will be losing customers because of her. read more
