I was doing some shopping at the Pearl City Walmart & upon having my way back home, I noticed this Panda Express located adjacent to the Walmart parking lot. The Panda Express is is a very small strip mall with other eateries as well as an endoscopy office next door. I walked into the empty restaurant as it was sorta "off-hours" - after lunch, but before dinner to pick up some food for my dad. The Panda Express had the usual standard items, and I ended up getting a 3 item plate of 1/2 Super Greens 1/2 Fried Rice, Mushroom Chicken, Beijing Beef, & Black Pepper Steak. I have to rate my overall experience today a 5-star. It's been awhile since going to a Panda Express and the food, portion and service were delightful. Server: "Flor J" helped us. First time using a Panda gift card and the server effortlessly scanned it for me and completed the transaction. I ordered 2 "Bigger Plates" with one being $13.10 for three entrees and a starch. Food was tasty as ever. The Beef and Broccoli was our favorite. Not enough room on the plate for my Teri Chicken, so the server cut it up to fit in the small takeout box. I like this location. Definitely just descent Chinese fast food. I always get the mushroom chicken with chow fun noodles and fried rice. Good if you are hungry. Inside is clean and workers are helpful. The inside is spacious and has plenty of tables to sit down on. Unlimited refills at the drink station. I like that. Was in Pearl City so decided to buy food from here...wrong move! Normally, when we buy food from any Panda Express, we always order 2 plates with three entrees. We get half noodles and half chow fun, two entrees would be placed in the plate and the third entree in a small cardboard box. They will usually fill the cardboard box a little above the rim so they would need to scotch tape it to close. At this Panda Express, they did put the tape on for both boxes but it wasn't needed. One was filled below the rim of the box and the other was filled one-third below the rim. So disappointing because the price goes up which is expected but amount of all food went down by maybe a third including the carbs. My intent was to post pictures of the food, menu and give a good rating BUT decided not to because of the attitude I experienced when I went back to pick up the Teri sauce they forgot to include in my bag for the chicken. Halfway home, I realized no one asked if I wanted the sauce on the chicken or in a container. Looked at the chicken...no sauce! Looked for the container...none! We had to turn around because the chicken doesn't have too much taste without it. Another disappointment! I informed the cashier about the sauce. She walked away, poured the sauce in the container, put it in a small package and gave it to me. No word, no apologies...just passed it to me with a not-so-nice glare! Hmmm, don't think she cares about keeping their customers. I'm thinking this Pearl City location lost me as one! read more

We always go to this panda as it's closest to our house. They give a good portion size and are always dependable as far as the panda quality. It's always hard for them to understand you and vise versa; especially with masks now. They offer order online but that doesn't seem to work well as they often don't have it ready or it didn't go through. If you have the time and are healthy enough to go in, I suggest going in as it makes it easier for you. You can always half your side choice, even in a bowl. So that offers even more variety in a plate. read more

Crazy long line in the evening to the point where you are either pressed up against the door or waiting outside. Parking is a nightmare and there aren't enough tables for a family of 4+ to sit at. The food tastes just like any other Panda Express and there isn't anything unique at this location other than it's the only PE in Pearl City vicinity. Other than that, food is tasty as usual and workers are friendly. Though I would like to see more workers helping to decrease the line by taking orders faster. Walked in for lunch and there was no line. They actually let me try some samples which really helped me makeup my mind. All the workcrew was hard at work busy doing something. The gentlemen in back made my plate and gave me generous portions. I ordered the Wok-Seared Steak and Shrimp (which was an additional $1.50) and the mushroom & chicken along with half chow fun and half fried rice for starch. I bought a Bigger plate and the amount of food that the lady had give wasn't close to a bigger plate or even a regular plate can be filled. She normally gets a 3 item for herself & have left overs for a meal later but we were going to be out a while lol. They serve bowls, but only 1 choice. This is probably gonna be the shortest review I've ever written but BEWARE. If you have 3 or more people in your party, there are only 2 places to sit, both which are very uncomfortable. There's a "bar type seating" near the entrance only fits 3 people. Only a few inches away from the door. The rest of the seating are 2 seaters and people are literally breathing or having there butts in your face while you eat. Lastly only one table that seats about 4 people, that's in the tea bar area. The food is okay, just like any other pandas all to me are the same, I love the orange chicken and the chow fun. Beijing beef and honey walnut shrimp is always Delish. DO NOT COME HERE! I'm so livid. I came tonight, ordered our per usual. 3 panda bowls is what we get and we get super full from this and sometimes have leftover. My 1st bowl was rice & black pepper steak. I watched my server place the entree into my bowl and the serving size was 1/2 the ladle. She closed the lid and set it aside to make my other 2 bowls. I figured they were making more to add onto my bowl. My next two plates were the same, grilled Teri chicken. One with fried rice and the other with chow mein. Anyways, the cashier started to pack up my food and I had asked her to open my steak bowl. She opens it and she herself looked at the portion, looked at the girl who served it like wth? I literally had 1 piece of steak a few bell peppers and onions and 2 huge mushrooms. She slathered gravy all over to make it look full. I made a big stink in front of the customers asking them to look at that plate; would you pay $11 for this? And laughed. I was just about to take a photo but cashier added more to my order. 2nd the girl that served my food had the nerve to roll her eyes at me bc I was complaining. And 3rd (I should've checked my other order there) I came home, and that fricken server cut 1 chicken thigh and 1/2'd the portion amongst my 2 bowls. I'm not over exaggerating. Just bought food here and I had a bad experience. First thing line wasn't long but the service seams to be dragging took me awhile to start ordering. While I'm waiting I was watching the cook and service line work. The cooks was cooking and filling the line but makes bad decisions by cooking dishes that's half full and not noticing what entree needs to be filled. Even the line service wasn't helping by calling out what entree that needs to be filled. I finally got help and placed my order in less than two minutes. I had to wait because one of my entree was empty. I figured why not. Shake my head I had to wait ten minutes for my last entree to cook. Saw eight customers pass me with their order. Been a while since I've been here and service has not been this bad. I will not come back to Pearl City Pandas for awhile. read more

Okay so can I just say that I got pandas twice today, the first time was at pearlridge (NOT THIS LOCATION) 30min to closing and it was average service, not good but not bad, just straight to the point - in and out. Could tell the rice was old because it was mushy in one bite but the rest was dry and hard. Not impressed, didn't even finish the plate. Start real review : The second time was to grab dinner (AT THIS LOCATION) and it was like 20 min.prior to closing. I walked in and I didn't see fried rice, when I asked, the girl asked me if I'd be willing to wait 10-12 minutes. I said yes of course because I really wasn't in a hurry and who doesn't want fresh food? Shortly one of the cooks walks out from their break room and he makes eye contact with the girl helping me and goes "fried rice? Ok! ". I really appreciated it because prior to me they weren't really planning on making more unless requested (assuming since they close soon) and they did it happily. The girl really took care of me during my visit in ways Not expressed in this review. How kind. I wish I got her name because she showed me amazing hospitality. I love me some Panda Express here & there! Located where the Walmart is. Parking is a bit limited when it's prime time. There's always a line here! I love how it's super clean and very spacious here. Lots of tables and chairs here. Although we usually take-out. Food is great! You can't really go wrong with Panda Express. I love their chow fun and their orange chicken! Very bad customer service and cleanliness. I would rate this a negative star if possible. Ordered online and was told my food would be ready in 20 minutes but upon arrival I had to wait 30 minutes in line for online order pickup then another hour for my food. The dining area was very crowded with limited spacing between customers and they had no order since they were letting customers who just arrived cut in line. More concerning was that there must have been over 30 people in this small space when counting the customers and workers (no social distancing). One of the workers was coming around asking for the online order numbers and touching their phones with her gloves on and then going behind the counter and packing food without washing her hands or changing gloves. They were even letting customers behind the area they were storing food for pickups and letting the customers touch the food bags even if it wasn't their order. Walk in customers took precedence and were helped in a timely manner compared to the online order customers who were waiting over 30 minutes to be helped. Even worse, the workers would tell the walk in customers so sorry for the wait but wouldn't even acknowledge the extremely long wait times for us online order customers. read more

Service was wonderful from the staff behind the counter. While I was eating my plate lunch, an employee was cleaning the front of the restaurant. As I looked up... the male employee, compressing the trash bin... he spat in the trash bin and continued to compress the trash bin located INSIDE the front of the restaurant. Talk about disgusting!!! Right in front of eating patrons! This is not a "Grade A" or PASSABLE trait to have in the restaurant.
