Panda Express is my go to fast food restaurant and it's always has been. I don't care if I'm full or if I'm in another state or country, if I bump into a Panda Express I'm there. My favorite item to order is the Orange Chicken and Chow Mein. I tried something different today which was the Beef and Vegetables. It was good and the meat wasn't dry or overcooked with great flavors. The only thing was the Chow Mein was on the bland side. Upon checking out they asked if I wanted to donate, to which I nicely said no thank you not today, they employee added this donation anyways of $10 I didn't notice this until I received my bank statement to see this large charge and it was ten dollars over what I originally authorized! You know how excited I was today when I discovered that Panda express was now at the 95sb rest stop and not at that God awful mall? Super Duper excited!!!! Years ago this place was a staple in my take-out cuisine! I couldn't wait to relive those moments with my orange chicken and/or my black pepper chicken! Well today wasn't that day. Sure the little bit of chicken that i got tasted the same, but that's all I got was a taste. There wasn't enough chicken In my "Panda Bowl" to actually enjoy. It was a big bowl of rice with a little bit of chicken on top. The chicken didn't even cover the rice enough to give the illusion of a full serving. 2 stars because it still tasted good but I won't be back. For $1 more I can go to my favorite spot and get the same amount of rice, twice as much chicken(just as good), some broccoli, and an egg roll. Maybe they serve the food like that because they mostly deal with travelers who aren't going to turn around to complain. Maybe they are trained to give less and then give more to ppl who say something. I didn't see the amount of chicken until I went to eat it. Now I think back to how I was rushed out of there. She didn't ask if I wanted anything else, or even something to drink. There was no line, I was the only one there and The other worker was standing there on her phone. Yea, Changing to 1 star. So they closed the Panda Express at Trumbull and this one was the nearest to my location. Disappointed. That's it The service was terrible, the employees were arguing with each other while they were serving my food. They only gave one fork and I ordered for two people OH AND NO FORTUNE COOKIES!!! And I found a hair on my food and the walnut shrimp was undercooked. :) What a nice meal Anyways if you want Panda Express don't come at this location. Make sure to watch the servers. They do not wear their masks properly (at times exposing their mouths and never covering their noses), have attitudes, and curse at each other. The Spanish woman was by far the worst. Only one server was following guidelines. However, the cooks were excellent, as well as the workers in the back. Management Please listen and do something about the quality of employees at this location. They sucketh much and consistently. Rude. Time waisting. Inappropriate language. Laughing while standing over uncovered exposed customer food with NO MASK OVER MOUTH AND NOSE Arguing over personal matters. Being extremely rude to customers. So I like Panda Express and when I'm in the area I often stop in to grab a meal. I went there last Friday 7/16/2021, and there was a young man who was serving food to the customers, his name tag read JT. This young man was on his phone via his AirPod while serving customers. He displayed a very lackluster attitude. He put no effort in greeting customers who by the way we're waiting in a single long line for several minutes. He was so involved in his personal conversation that he did not hear my order correctly and began to make my order wrong. I expressed my disappointments to another employee, Gerry, who presented a very different attitude, he seemed to take pride in his job. He was extremely friendly and his efforts to service the long line of patrons seemed evident. Gerry assured me he would let the young employee, JT aware of his behaviors. I visited this same location yesterday 07/23/2021, around 2:45 pm. This time the line of customers was smaller so my wait time wasn't an issue, at all. However, while waiting in this line I observed a thin Spanish female who had no name tag on her apron use the "N" word repeatedly while referring to one of her co-workers. She was laughing while using the racial slur which made me feel as if she was joking around, however the looks from the customers in the line made this experience extremely awkward. No one, not even her coworkers called her out on her inappropriate language. She began boasting about getting off of work in 5 minutes (which as a customer made me feel as if she didn't want to be there) and then began yelling at what appeared to be her minor son who was waiting for her. When she serviced customers in the line, she appeared to have an attitude. The food was mediocre this time and it could have been because the customer service (or lack thereof) put a bad taste in my mouth. JT and the thin Spanish female need to realize that they are the first faces customers see when coming to this establishment. No one knows what type of day the other is having, but coming to a food establishment to experience this level of service is disheartening. I hope they both get the appropriate customer service and cultural competence training they desperately need in order to learn that the expectations from customers visiting this location are far deeper then them just serving food. read more

Went in for lunch everything was going well until I saw the gentlemen serving with his mask around his chin and talking and laughing directly into the food I was about to order laughing hard like spit coming out of his mouth and when I went to order I politely said I was going to order that chicken but the guy had his mask off and was talking/laughing into the food and the manager I'm assuming because he had a different color shirt then everyone else grabbed the chicken out of the ordering line slammed in down and yelled for the guy to make him a new one it was bad enough for the only other two ladies standing behind me to walk off and leave going to McDonald's instead which I should have done because I waited there for the 8 min for the food to cook and when I got it they served me half a portion and I paid for double orange chicken basically stole my money because I didn't want to eat food with spit in it not the best way to keep customers by cheating them on their food because they brought up an issue you should want people to speak on things so you can solve them read more

Went for dinner time and the quality of food was the worst. This has to be the worst Panda Express location. Orange chicken was so mushy like it was prepared in the morning. Walnut shrimp was undercooked and I could still taste the flour... Not to mention that the worker serving the food gave so little my plate was so empty. Definitely not happy and Not worth. This is the second time I have tried panda express and it will also be the last time. This food is so far removed from good Chinese American fare that it should be called something else. The chow mein is an embarrassment. The eggrolls have way too much ginger and basically taste like something you buy at Costco. My Beijing beef was so sickly sweet it should be called candied beef. I have no idea how this place is so successful and stays in business. I think maybe it is just a front for a huge money laundering operation. I only had one item, and that was a spring roll, but it was pretty good - even though it had been cooked 10 minutes before - it was just warm but, it had good taste. I'm pretty sure that if I had it right after it was cooked it would have been much better. (it was the middle of the afternoon on Thursday 12/20 before Christmas, and there were very few people on the highway, let alone inside the rest area, so the food wasn't getting a high turnover). Actually, I am not a fan of Chinese food unless it's very well made, which nowadays, is not the case. But, this was pretty good.
