It is so hard finding a sit-down Chinese restaurant these days, so we ventured out to Orange. It's too bad the meal started off with stale noodles. The rest of the meal was unremarkable. The search continues...

Recently came here on Christmas Day so my soon to be mother in law didn't need to cook or clean. The place was jamming as most other places not open Christmas Day. Our server momo was very pleasant! We waited a bit (but understood it was Christmas and packed) but got our crab Rangoon appetizer. It was good and my soon to be FIL loved them. I opted for the crispy chicken Szechuan. It was unlike anything at other establishments. Great level of heat, fried chicken crisp veggies. So tasty! The rest of my dining party loved their meals as well!

The Chinese food at China Pavilion is high quality. The service was prompt, and the server explained various dishes. I ordered the lunch special and didn't notice that the size was any different from the dinner specials that the other people in my party ordered. China Pavilion uses white meat chicken for the General Tso's, which is not always the case. Also, the flavor isn't simply one of sugar, but some other aromatic spices which give it an authentic quality. My moo goo gai pan was unusually flavorful. The sauce was thick and the fried rice complemented the dish perfectly. My lunch special started off with the wonton soup which had two nice big dumplings. It was not overly salty and once again, the flavor was subtle and the quality good. We also ordered dumplings as appetizers, and they were especially juicy and large. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the dining room is spacious, clean, and nicely decorated in a Chinese restaurant theme. I can see why this place was voted the best in Connecticut. I had never eaten here before and I'm happy I had the chance to do so. I will definitely be back soon. I feel like this is a good place to bring visitors to the area so they can sample genuine, authentic Chinese food in a spacious, pleasant setting. I should add that the mixed drinks are a great complement to the food. I've never had a Dirty Shirley Temple before, and it was, sweet and fizzy with a cherry flavor; this is and fizzy definitely a drink I would order again.

I went here for the first time tonight. It was much more spacious than I thought. Tons of seating. There's a separate bar area. We sat in a booth. Our server was attentive. Decor needs to be updated but not a big deal, just something I noticed. I started with wonton soup and I thought it was really good. The broth and wontons itself were full of flavor. I then had the beef broccoli which was a generous portion and I thought had good flavor. Not too salty! It came with rice as well it's just not pictured. I was pleasantly surprised and I would go back again!

Best Hunan chicken I've ever had. Been a family favorite since before I was born. Insanely good Chinese food.

Outstanding food, with delicate sauces and lovely flavors. Vegan options on the menu. I had the vegan pepper steak and it was great!
