I am from California, and the Panda Express there tastes much better than this location. Every time I visit, there is always an issue with the chow mein it seems like the noodles are simply thrown into the fryer with very little seasoning, and the flavor is consistently bland. I am unsure who the manager or cooks are, but the quality of food and preparation needs serious improvement. Having previously worked in a restaurant, it even tastes as though old food is being mixed with new, which is unacceptable for customers. Today, my chow mein tasted burnt, and I was unable to eat it. I was also disappointed because my husband did not enjoy his meal either. If you are going to run a business, it should be done with care and attention to quality rather than laziness or indifference toward customers. Probably one of the slowest panda drive thrus I have been to, nation wide. They will consistently make you wait at the speaker for anywhere from 1 minute to upwards of 8+ minutes (writing this while waiting at the speaker for 5 minutes now) causing a big line to start. What a terrible experience. I ordered my food via the drive through and was told to park at the front because my food was, as the cashier stated, "being prepared fresh for me." I pull up front and wait.. and wait.. and wait. I'm not that impatient, but watching a bunch of cars go in and out quickly while I've been waiting for 15 minutes started to concern me. At 15 minutes, I call the restaurant just to verify that they hadn't forgotten about me, and the kind woman explained that they will have my food out to me in 2 to 3 minutes. However, she tells me that the food item that I'm waiting to be prepared was the "super greens..." In other words, I've been waiting 15 minutes for steamed broccoli and cabbage... Whaaat? Whatever--I suck it up and wait.. 3 minutes elapse.. then 4.. then 5.. A total of 30 minutes later from when I ordered, a lady finally hands me my food. People--I had to wait 30 minutes for STEAMED BROCCOLI lmao Anyone that has cooked broccoli knows that it doesn't take anywhere near that long. Clearly, this restaurant is terribly managed. *** Random side note: During my 30 minute wait, I saw an employee lock the entrance and exit doors to the restaurant. This was around 3pm. With COVID being a thing, I wasn't bothered by that. What bothered me was that there was no signage informing customers that the indoor area was closed nor why it was closed. There were customers still eating inside when this happened, which made things weird for those unaware. We originally wanted to go in the drive thru, but later decided to go inside. I waited in line for *45 minutes* before I even come up to the counter. Then I was told that there was another 7 minute wait on the Teriyaki chicken. Staff were all huddled around like they didn't know what they were doing. Definitely no sense of urgency or care. I even saw one girl roll her eyes a few times. Panda Express is listed as "Fast Food" Chinese, but I can call up a local Chinese restaurant, have them tell me it'll be "30 minutes" and I won't have to deal with the headache of standing in a line with a hungry toddler trying to keep him busy. So I want to try out and express one more time and give it another try because I need a negative review previously they did have fried rice this time but this was the funny thing they got my order wrong I ordered a plate and got orange chicken fried rice and broccoli beef and I would've side of Shanghai beef simple fix so they gave me broccoli beef as a side in a smaller container and the shanghaied beef in my entrée plate so they gave me more of something that I didn't want as much of so I brought this to the attention as I went to the drive-through once again she gave me a look as if I was wrong for correcting my order scraped the wrong food order out and gave me a small container so less servings of each when I ordered it as a entree. The service here is the worst that any fast food place can get and I would consider this to be the worst service in hinesville and horrible representation of what Panda Express usually puts out. Nah because first they got my order wrong so we had to wait in the drive thru line to get it fixed and then while I was eating I moved a piece of chicken to the noodles and a few other pieces dragged with it and it was connected by a few pieces of hair. If you are coming here, go through the drive thru because they apparently are priority customers--we waited in line inside for 15 minutes, with no one in front of us or behind us, but the fully-staffed staff was completely focused on filling the drive thru orders. Very annoying because when It was time for us to order, half the things we wanted were unavailable since five or six different vehicles were served before us. Also the place may have a 100 health rating, but inside the booths and general eating area was filthy. While the employees were kind, or at least the epitome of tepid, the management here is clearly unaware, and unwilling to improve. We have been to this place twice since it has opened. First time was a couple weeks after opening. Each time good was very bland. Unlike alo t of other reveiwers our veggies came to us undercooked. I can deal with that as I enjoy the crunch, however the lack of seasoning was disappointing. We have not been back in about a month, things might have changed, however I doubt we will be back.
