This Panera was super clutch Friday night on the way back to our hotel. It was right by it and stayed open until 10pm, which was surprising in this tiny town. It even had a drive thru! Lol. I ordered the Roasted Turkey, avocado BLT without the bacon of course, chips and their Turkey chili. The sandwich and chips were great! Per usual, but the chili was a little odd. It had chick peas in it. And I love chick peas but not in my chili. I didn't finish it. It was just weird lol. Kind of like when someone puts raisins in the potato salad smh. I feel like they throw nothing but teenagers on shifts by themselves. There's attitude for ordering well before a reasonable time to close. So many things aren't prepared and therefore they can't sell it. Or they are either out of an item. Been here a few times and it's always something. Today I ordered 2 sandwiches and was waiting for at least 20 mins after ordering even though there was no one else there. Im going to assume this location was short staffed so thats the reason for the ridiculously long wait time in the drive thru. Currently sitting in a empty restaurant and I couldn't take picture of any food because I've been sitting in the lobby for 15 minutes after I ordered 20 minutes ago so I've technically been waiting 35 minutes for a bagel and a iced coffee which I have a subscription for. There is nothing at this point that will keep me having the subscription if I am waiting 30 minutes to get an iced coffee. The service here is slowly declining I don't know if it's due to management or due to simply not caring but the quality of the food here has also diminished I used to love breakfast here but it is getting worse and worse every time I come I'm sorry for leaving such a negative review but hopefully it will change things for the better. read more

I ordered (at 7:06am future pickup for 8:15am) a Bacon&Spinach Soufflé, Orange Cranberry Muffin and Chocolate Late. At 8:09am I got a text saying my order is ready at the Rapid Pick-Up shelf. I arrived at 8:15am and it wasn't ready. I had to wait for another 10 mins (8:25am) before it was ready. The Soufflé was still being cooked and wasn't ready yet. I Was told when I arrived the Orange Cranberry Muffin was out of stock even though the app says it wasn't and I paid for something I didn't get. Finally latte says it comes with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle neither of which was in my coffee. They literally messed up every aspect of my order. Wouldn't recommend this location. Also several times I've gone the the Drive-Thru and they have been out of stock of items and had to drive off. This store seems to have stock issues for a long time now. read more

A very big Panera in a small, southern town... I was surprised to see how big of a place this Panera Bread was for such a small town like Heinsville. Besides this, the Panera itself was one of the better ones I've been too. The service was very friendly, the food was prepared fast and hot, and the Panera itself was one of the cleanest ones I've sat in. The best part of the Panera is that it's not that far from where we are staying, so we will definitely check it out one or more two times before this trip is done. UPDATED: 29 Jan 18 It's surprising to me to write this, really. This is the first time I have ever come back so soon after writing a review to provide and update, but I do believe it is warranted. My wife and I have now stopped in three times - as the previous review indicated, it was good, very good. But the last two, consecutive stops have been less than stellar. It's been one error after another, that simply is a lack to attention to detail. Whether it was making a sandwich with sausage or bacon, when we nicely asked for neither, or the sandwich came with just a shadow of scrambled eggs, the cook staff in the back just isn't cutting it. Management appears unwilling or un-wanting to rectify the situation as the manager on the third stop had her kids with her at the store - sadly unprofessional. I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason for this (on a school day) but... On the third stop they had a problem with the bathrooms - they literally block the way to get to them - I'm not sure that is actually legal. Not the best service! Food was decent, but the Service could use some work. Order a $70 meal for five and was supposed to be inside pick up. When I arrived it took several minutes for someone to ask if I needed help. Some guy in line waited 15 minutes before he was helped. They ran out of baguettes but did not offer any thing as a substitute. When I got home they forgot my Turkey Chili and a bag of chips for one of the sandwiches. I called back to speak to the manager and she relayed "sorry for your inconvenience" and click she was off the phone. If you do get food from here, make sure to call ahead and ask if they have the food you want. After 10am, they barely have anything. And I don't recommend ordering from the app for this restaurant. Or DoorDash/Uber Eats. They have messed up my order so many times, it's unbelievable. The only thing I recommend, is the coffee in all honesty. The staff (most of them) act like they don't have any sort of customer service experience. Some of the ladies here act like cold hearted women. Rude customer service. The young ladies at the cashier are nice but the ladies in the kitchen are rude. Service is disappointing. Baguette super hard. I asked for my croissant to be warned they didn't. Then I never got my smoothie. Had to remind them. Then I asked one of the ladies if I could get the chips instead of the bread and she just looked at me and ignored me. Had to ask another person. I ordered a pizza and was told they were not making any pizzas. Then moments later they were making them. When I brought it to their attention the young man offered to make me a cheese pizza because that's all they had left. I appreciated that. Worst customer service experience ever was courtesy of Candace. a manager at this location on 2/19/20. On February 14, I ordered carry out for me and my husband. I live 20 minutes from this location and when I got home, saw that my Green Goddess Salad was missing its dressing. Called store, spoke with Angie and she promised a free entree and said she would communicate this to the other managers. Well, on 2/19, I apprised an associate and Candace of this issue as I ordered two whole salads and a half salad for which I had a reward. I had the expectation that one whole salad was the replacement. Candace stated Angie no longer worked there and couldn't honor what she'd promised. Kept telling me that my half salad was free. What? Lady, it was free because I had a REWARD! She then asked about my 2/14 visit. Actually asked if I had paid anything for that salad with no dressing. What the heck! Yes, offered to show her my transaction history from the Panera app or email and she said oh, I believe you but still refused to take off one of the salads as was promised. All of the food was very good! They have sandwiches, soups, combos, snacks and breads... even some coffee items, yum! Nice restaurant, large dining area. Although their health score was 96, the dining room could have been cleaner. The manager was having a meeting upon our arrival so the workers were working at minimal speed. The coffee urns were low our empty and the dining room was badly in need of tidying up from picking up to sweeping the floor. Service was good and the food was enjoyable. After dining in for an hour we had to ask for more coffee. First time I have visited a Panera with a drive thru. Hoorah, Koala Care in Ladies restroom and a sign on the door for the men's restroom!! The staff/service here is amazing!! We stopped here this weekend (not too long before closing time), I hesitated to order bc I have Celiac disease (no gluten for me) and it's literally named after bread, but google said they had options that would be safe. I ordered and told them my allergy situation (I always feel super awkward about it) The manager was fabulous and alerted the rest of the staff of how to handle my salad to avoid cross contamination. Three strikes and you're out. This review is for coffee and service only on three occasions. The first day we went through the drive through and they made our lattes way too hot. The same was for my grandson's hot chocolate, although we asked them to make it for a young child, it took about 20 min before he could sip on it without burning his mouth. The second day they messed up my husband's latte twice. He ordered his vanilla latte half sweet. The first one was way too sweet. Though they did remake it, there was no apology, it rather felt like they were annoyed, and then the 2nd one was hardly even warm. Our third try, ordering inside again the service was a little nicer, but I had to explain what is meant by "half sweet" - no, not light syrup only half amount of syrup usually used. And again, way too hot and seemed like the espresso was missing. My grandson's hot chocolate was way too sweet, liquid diabetes. At this Panera, it's a coin toss if your food is actually good and or if they pay attention to your order. I asked for no olives on my salad when ordering through the drive thru. I drove off to find olives in my salad when I got home. It was the modern Greek w quinoa. Not to mention, this salad was pretty bad, with a bad odor to it, questionable leaves that were borderline browning. It's bad enough you have to wait 10 minutes at the window for "fast food" to then get food that isn't very good. Any other Panera I've been to has been much better. That was okay until I had to wait 30 minutes to be told they would not be able to provide my order. Why was I not told after they received the order? Employees had plenty of time to converse with each other, but no one communicated to a paying customer who stood in your store near the pick up counter for 30 minutes that her order could not be fulfilled?!?!
