This might be the last time I go to this location. The past few times the food and service was OK relative to the other spots. The last visit though, was terrible. First, there were a plethora of employees talking to each other not serving customers. I understand they need to figure out their operations but I was left standing for awhile and the worker who helped me seemed distracted, I had to repeat my order a few times. I got the bigger plate, and the portions were smaller than usual! Also, they erroneously charged me extra $1.50 for premium honey walnut shrimp, which I didn't get. I also didn't get fortune cookie with my order. The rice were DRY and the noodles got dry eventually. They also lacked a bit of flavor compared to the other locations I visited, so consistency was not there. The portions were also below average as I mentioned. Wasted $15.95 for subpar fast food, should've gone to another location or another Chinese fast food spot to get more bang for my buck. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience today at Panda Express. While eating my Beef & Broccoli, I found a tiny piece of hair in my food. I have a habit of looking closely at my food before every bite, so I noticed it right away. Regardless of its size, finding hair in a meal is unacceptable and raises concerns about food preparation and hygiene. I came here expecting to enjoy my meal, not to be disgusted or lose my appetite. I've eaten at Panda Express before and usually have a good experience, which made this even more disappointing. I have only been to three Panda Express restaurants, and this one is unique because asian people actually work here. I was there on a Saturday evening, and the staff were very polite and professional. The restaurant itself resembled a cafeteria. There's a large dining room with several small tables. I ordered: - fried rice - walnut shrimp -mushroom chicken The fried rice was moist, but had little flavor. A couple of soy sauce packets helped a little. The Walnut Shrimp were smaller than the shrimp I was served in the Saratoga Panda Express. Also, the servings were smaller in Hayward. The Mushroom Chicken was very good, and went well with the fried rice. Overall, my experience was better in Hayward, than in Saratoga. In Saratoga, they ran out of food and the food was undercooked. I always order through the app which is convenient especially when I'm too lazy to cook. Usually my order's ready as soon as I get there but when I came in today to pick up my order it wasn't ready. They don't even know my order and had to show my order through the app . I had to wait longer cause they had to confirm if I ordered . I checked my app account and it went through. Arrived at the store and I put in a large order consisting of 9 Party Trays that I needed within 30 minutes, for my men's bible study group. Lady at the front register was helping me but she was pretty distracted and busy handling other customers. Then came someone else to assist me, whom I believe was the manager (Andy) and he said they will have it ready in 30-35 minutes. I placed the order right at the dinner time rush, along with the Warriors playoff game about to start, so I was a bit nervous I wouldn't get it in time. Andy and the team finished my order in 30 minutes; all fresh from the grill. He mentioned that normally they need ATLEAST an hour notice, for large catering orders like mines. Look it's panda express not a home cooked meal. that being said its got many options for protein and thats whats so great about it. A family sized meal is fairly priced for the amount of protein in 3 containers and then you get plenty of rice or noodles. Every now and then theyll also have a new dish, which imo is normally worth at least the toothpick they give it to you on to try it, and i normally get it. The food is also pretty good, and the fact they have a plain roasted chicken means you do have the option for a slightly healtheir main dish as well. read more

Placed the order online was an estimated 30 mins for the order to be ready. Got a txt that it was ready only 15 mins after the order was placed so we headed over to pick it up. Arrive there right at 630pm the original ETA and the order was nowhere near ready. Waited yet another 15 mins and finally got it. Drove all the way home just to find parts of the order missing. Called in to let them know and the customer service was garbage. This location is going downhill, the food is not fresh anymore. Seems like they make big batches and keep it in the hot box. Sesame chicken is too sweet and very soggy, not crispy how you expect it to be. Seen them put out string bean chicken which seems like it's been sitting for more than 2 hours. Beijing beef is way to sweet/soggy and not crispy it's like they make big batches and let it sit. Beef broccoli is dry and does not look appetizing, it's all broccoli and barely any meat.Teriyaki chicken is undercooked and slimey. Orange chicken is also soggy and does not taste like Orange chicken at all, has a sour vinegar after taste it's definitely does not taste Orange. I only went here because it's close to my work, our home, my family likes their food and it's in the same area as Target and Yogurtland. Basically, for sheer convenience. The place has a lot of parking space as it's in the corner lot. Even though they have a lot of space and plenty of tables and chairs and the it always look clean, I never eat inside due to the negative vibes I get from the workers. I only pick up food to have the least amount of interaction with the cashier as no matter which cashier I get, just to pick up an online order, they are down right rude and annoyed with customers for just existing. They always act as if you are bothering them, no one smiles or greet you. They just get right down to business and the first thing they say is something along the line with "Whose name is the order you are picking up"? Also, no "Thank you" what-so-ever. One time, I came to pick up my order and my co-worker's order on our lunch break. I specifically mentioned to the cashier that I am here to pick up two orders, one for Evelyn and one for my co-worker's name which I mentioned. She proceeded to hand me my order and, as I stood waiting for my coworker's order, she goes back to packing order. I had to remind her again, that I have one more order that I'm waiting for and mentioned the name the order is under, which they had on the same rack, sitting right where my order was. I don't know if she understood English or just didn't want to listen but seems very annoyed that I took her away from packing orders. I was the only one at the register at the time as we took a very late lunch. On a couple of occasions, I added the Cream Cheese Rangoon and Egg rolls and I believe those two should come with sauce and it never does, so it tastes bland. Last night, Saturday, I placed an order for their family meal for pick up and I added all the sauces that we needed when I ordered on the ap. I was shocked to see the bag they gave me when I went to pick up my order as it was almost bursting at the seems and a hole on the corner was literally developing. They could've double bagged it! Didn't want to deal with asking for another bag from one of their always rude cashier so I just held it at the bottom even though it was pretty hot. When we got home, I was shocked to see ONE fortune cookie along with only three packets of each sauces for a family meal. Also the broccoli beef was lacking beef. There were 8 tiny pieces at the most and everything else was broccoli and their teriyaki chicken was so dry I ended up dousing it with the three packets of teriyaki sauce that came with the order. And they don't pack in your food like they do at a regular restaurant. They just pour food in there and once it reaches to the top, they close it. They are quite stingy with the food, sauces, fortune cookies and their service. After this experience, I told my family, I am done with this location as I'm fed up with them. I'm glad that I cashed in most of my ap rewards last night in order to get the family meal for free. Run out of chowmein made us wait for 15 min then when they got it instead of delivering to the table for compensating the delay both Gm and Manager shouted out for the food inside the counter what a great example of customer service from PANDA Express. I went next door with my sister and the smell was so strong and good that I was like hey let's go check it out I got a plate with half chow mein and half fried rice with tofu eggplant and honey walnut shrimp I think it I was a meat eater I would have gave this all 5 stars but my options were limited. i never write yelp reviews let alone bad ones but i just went to panda express in hayward, Ca near target, to grab dinner; and what i witnessed made me lose my appetite. The Manager an asian women by the name of "Karla" was being so incredibly RUDE to her staff that i really wanted to speak up and put her in her place. there was a long line so i got to witness her bad behavior towards her employees for about 15/20 min and from what i witnessed, she treats her employees like shit and they are all scared of her, she yelled at 4 different employees while i was there for the most unnecessary things, her tone of voice towards them was disgusting to hear. I will no longer be going to this location because of Karla, i suggest HR should look into her management skills because it seemed like a hostile work environment and she was just straight up MEAN! she visibly caused the poor employees more stress during a rush hour! i was going to take a picture or video to show others how she was acting but my phone died, i wish i couldve got some proof tho so i can expose her terrible behavior. read more

In the past year, I visited this location. Both times the food was old, sparse serving size and surly staff. I was ready to give up on this fast food chain. I was complaining to my grown kids and they were shocked as the Dublin Panda was a go to food in their high school years. Hayward is the worse. I come here all the time because they are close to me. Food was good but very small portions. I totally agreed with the other rating. They give Very small portions, sparse size/made it loose, filled with 70% of the box. If you buy a bowl and the only filled up half of bowl. Terrible experience last night around 6pm. I purchased a 2 item plate with a side of ragoons and a drink at full price. After having a few bites I was starting to feel sick but thought I just ate too fast. I ate one Rangoon and it felt undercooked so I left it aside. Once we were "done" I approached the register and the woman there who had rudely checked me out told me without hearing that they don't do refunds and I could exchange for another item. Being that I already felt sick I said no thank you and went to throw up in their bathroom. As I walked away I could hear her mumbling in another language to her coworkers and laughing off "no refund" as if the $2 ragoons would just my pocket. No maan. After eating some of the food I noticed a cockroach on my orange chicken. I went inside to speak to the manager and tell her that there's a roach on my food, asking for a refund they said they couldn't give me it.
