Yesterday will be the last time I'm ever coming here. The person helping me was very nice and separated the shrimp in a different box from the chow mein as i didn't want it to cross contaminate my 2 year olds food since it's a high allergen. When i came to the register, Wei, the lady working the register asked me why my items were separate, after explaining the situation to her, She looked at me and in a very rude tone told me I shouldn't do that and that I am "not allowed to do that". I told Wei I didn't know I wasn't allowed as the girl who did it had no problems with it, and totally understood why I had made the request to begin with, she had separated it without any hesitation or question. Then Wei continued to say "this is your last time, you cannot do that." I said ok that's fine, sorry i didn't know. Then i asked for a paper plate and she said "no paper plate, no fork, no fortune cookie" i needed a fork to feed my daughter the food i just bought. I said "there is no fork?" She said "no, no fork!!" Then i said i need it to feed my daughter so she said "i only give you one" all of a sudden she had forks. I asked for one more so i can eat too. She looked at me and said "yeah call the manager go call the manager. Call the manager tomorrow!" She started taunting me loudly and again in her extremely rude tone. I never mentioned or asked for a manager but she kept taunting it. I walked away and she started loudly talking about me to the customer behind me, very unprofessional. The customer looked uncomfortable. I was really surprised at how rude and aggressive she was, i was speaking really calmly and realized quickly she doesn't seem stable. I think she would be better off working in the back because she clearly doesn't have the professionalism or communication skills to respectfully talk to customers. She made me so uncomfortable and made the next customer uncomfortable as well. I rather spend my money somewhere where at the minimum -you can be treated with basic respect and not feel so uncomfortable. I was supposed to eat inside but i sat in my car and fed my daughter there instead, that's how uncomfortable Wei made me feel. I told my family about her when i came home, they were shocked. WTH! Just came from here. We had to wait for them to make ore Mushroom Chicken, so I didn't see her put it in the container. Imagine my surprise to find a tiny tablespoon when I got home! Did they change staff or ownership lately? Seems like a different group working here. They were never very friendly before COVID, but now are very rude. Asked if they had soup, and she replied "No". Absolutely THE worst Panda Express in the Tri City area. Horrid! Somehow, they have a very strange idea that it makes sense to cut back on the protein and filllll the entrees with as many onions as they can fit into the wok as they cook the food. We've been unhappy with this Panda Express for quite some time. As I say, the protein in the food is minimal at best (tonight, my usual: chicken with green beans or, more correctly, "Onions with green beans (a few) and 5 tiny pieces of chicken)". Just ridiculous. My partner and I decided we'd had enough of this nonsense. He is particularly aggravated because the people who serve the food can be downright hostile sometimes. They make the "Soup Guy" on Seinfeld look like Mary Poppins! But, to be fair to them, if this is how the owner of this Panda treats his customers, he's probably even worse to them. I ordered a family feast and I understand that there was an extra fee for ordering the honey walnut shrimp as two of our entrees because they are considered premium. What I don't understand is I paid the extra $3.75 for each but the containers were only 3/4 full. I've placed online order twice for teriyaki chicken and both times they didn't give the sauce, which tells me that this is a pattern of how they operate. I understand to not automatically give soy sauce or hot sauce unless we ask for it, but with chicken teriyaki, without the sauce it's just grilled chicken. This is the only location to not include teriyaki sauce with teriyaki chicken unless you ask for it. Overall, food is good as other location but don't trust the work flow at this location. Today, I came to Panda in the early afternoon and to my pleasant surprise, the restaurant was almost empty. I've come here many times on my lunch break and the line was always out the door. I ordered a plate with half steamed rice, half chow mein, beijing beef and orange chicken. I could tell by looking at the orange chicken that it would most likely be dry and I was right. It was slightly overcooked and it lacked sauce. The beijing beef was decent, I mainly get this dish because I like how it's paired with bell peppers and onions. I normally only get steamed rice because I've noticed over the years, the chow mein has become extremely veggie heavy but today I gave it another shot. Unfortunately, there was more veggies in the chow mein than noodles. I still like Panda Express but the quality of the food is always a hit or a miss. read more

The new law states that kids meals will offer milk or water as the default, however can replace that with a soda upon request. They refused insisting on charging me for the soda. The best Panda Express in the area. Now you know. Let me tell you why. Short lines! I know this a killer at many other places but this line here moves really fast. Fast Fresh Food has always been here just waiting for me. I got to say I'm a sucker for the Honey Walnut shrimp! Oh my god I would eat a whole box of these If i wasn't such a cheap butt. They always tell me it's 1.50 extra for the shrimp SO WORTH IT! My issue is the only give you 7 shrimp I always want more. The broccoli beef and grilled chicken are both lower calories compared the orange chicken and packed full of protein for you. So you don't have to feel super guilty about getting it. Yes it's fast food chain Chinese food but if you are in a rush or want to go to target and get something taste afterwards. This is the place has shorter lines the most of the other locations in Hayward. The staff is nice enough. But my biggest + with them if you are doing uber eats and whatever I they were getting orders in and OUT FAST. The one in Hayward was having people waiting on the food. So if you notice the line isn't at the door it's a good time to get some Panda Express. This is one of the better locations and I would say it's solid in the favor area.
