Food!

Incredible experience! Steven was my server for today, incredibly patient and courteous. The food was also very satisfactory. 10/10 Steven made this experience one of a kind.

This place was pretty clean considering I got there close to closing time. The guy who helped me with my entrées was pretty cool and outgoing. Can't go wrong with the orange chicken. To be honest, I don't know what orange chicken is supposed to really taste like. I just know that I always have to compare it to the panda express orange chicken because they said the tone with what I think it's supposed to taste like.

Panda Express continues to excel! At being consistent, at least lol. Of course, you're not going to get authentic Chinese food at Panda Express, but for the convenience and the price point, I'm fairly satisfied for what it is. You can find this Panda Express at Cerritos Promenade on the northeast corner of South and Gridley. Please make a careful note of this location if you're ordering online or trying to look up the location on Google Maps. There is also a Panda Express inside Los Cerritos Center just on the other side of Gridley, and I'm certain someone out there, either a local or a visitor from out of state, may place an order at either Cerritos location and go to the wrong one. Luckily, they're pretty close to one another, but with how congested parking can be in this part of town, it can still be a headache to navigate through their respective parking lots. I was passing by the area on a Saturday early afternoon and wanted to treat myself to a Panda Plate. Between the two locations, this one has the Beyond Original Orange Chicken whereas the Cerritos mall location does not. Beyond Original Orange Chicken is pretty much self-explanatory: Original Orange Chicken, but made with Beyond Meat, which is plant-based. It's a premium entree, which would incur a $1.50 upcharge. The other premium entrees at this location are the Black Pepper Sirloin Steak and the Honey Walnut Shrimp, I had already tried the Black Pepper Sirloin Steak before, but not the Honey Walnut Shrimp, so I went with Honey Walnut Shrimp as my other entree. For a plate, you can choose a side or go half and half. I always do half and half of Super Greens and one of the other three: Chow Mein, Fried Rice, and White Steamed Rice depending on my mood at the time. This time, I went with Chow Mein simply because it's easier for me to pick up noodles than rice with a fork. I made my order inside the Target on the other side of the parking lot, requesting ASAP pickup. The app estimated about 15 minutes, and I spent about 10 of those minutes window shopping. When I arrived, an employee, Jolie, was ringing up another customer, and there were two customers at the start of the line to order. After she finished with that customer, she assisted me, and I told her my name for pickup. Despite coming in about 5 minutes early, she was able to bag up my order and hand it to me within the next minute or two. I sat at the two-person table closest to the front door, but the chair there was a little wobbly, though not nearly enough to hamper my dining experience. In my online order, I requested for all the sauces, but they missed the teriyaki sauce, which is the largest packet. How'd they miss that?! Whether or not they ran out, I won't hold it against them that much. Other than that, my order was accurate, and it was about on par with the other Panda Plates I've had at all the other locations. The Chow Mein never tastes as good as it looks, but isn't too bad once you add a sauce or two. The Super Greens seemed a little more flavorful here, which I'm glad to report. The Beyond Orange Chicken was surprisingly quite tasty, but also disappointingly quite stale just like its original version. A good option if you're trying to avoid meat, but worth the upcharge? Maaaaaaaaybe if you're feeling adventurous and want to try something new. Or if you want to avoid an upcharge and choose that as your free small entree after completing an online survey, that's an idea I'd recommend going through on. I was more disappointed with the Honey Walnut Shrimp, however. The shrimp as well as the batter that enclosed the shrimp were two different entities that I didn't think went well together here. Perhaps cooked fresh from a wok at an authentic Chinese restaurant as opposed to a heating well at Panda Express would have been a million times better, but I can safely say I wouldn't order the Honey Walnut Shrimp again. There's even an article on Mashed about why you should avoid that premium entree. I'm all for simultaneous savory and sweet, but Panda Express doesn't seem to get this right with their Honey Walnut Shrimp. Service was pretty good from Jolie, and she also provided good service as well to the other customers who came in to place an order. About the same level as all the other Panda Express locations I've been to. Definitely another plus about this fast food chain. I also want to elaborate more on parking in Cerritos Promenade. It can get pretty congested in the immediate lot around Panda Express that you may have a difficult time finding an open spot there. I'd recommend parking in the much larger lot in front of Target, but farther away from the department store. Overall, it's not a bad Panda Express location to go to. I don't know if I'll be back to this particular location since there are a few others closer to me, but just know that if you live closest to this one, you have a fairly solid spot for fast and convenient Chinese food that won't break the bank.

Orange chicken does not have any chicken inside a lot of the pieces it's not worth the money, it feels like I'm eating flour deep fried flours only!

This location gives pretty decent good amount of food. Good deal with the dodgers code. The chow mein r el dente, chicken and shrimp r very well seasoned. The veggie could use some improvement they r kinda a bit tough and hard to chew. Service was quick. Parking is kinda hard to find since it's in a crowded restaurants complex.

First time at this location.. It's typically busy since it's in an area with a lot of other businesses and tight parking. My husband and I decided to get Panda Express for dinner since we were at the Target at the next lot over. It was super busy since it was during peak dinner time. There were a lot of people dining in, waiting in line to order their food, and even some who were standing by the register waiting for their online order to be completed. My husband and I got the Panda Family Meal. It comes with 2 large sides and 3 large entrees. We got the fried rice and chow mein for the sides, and ordered the orange chicken, chicken string bean and broccoli beef. The portions were huge and we had so much leftovers that we were able to pack a few lunches for the week. Service was very quick and friendly. The customer in front of us was being a little difficult and rude to the workers, so I'm glad that encounter didn't change their moods towards us. It's safe to say we will be back again!

OMG this Panda Express is unbelievable, I would give them zero star if I can. I've been coming to this location for a while now and today I made my decision not to come here anymore. I've ordered my regular plate and also ordered a kid's meal. The portion of the Kids meal were incredibly small, the rice didn't even come near the rim. I've ordered Kids meal many times before so it was obvious she (Caro) gave me extremely small portion. Not only that rice was so dried they must be made this last night or maybe left over. I came here at 12:00 noon on Thursday, Caro was very unkind and rude to me and others. NEVER NEVER WILL COME HERE AGAIN!

Good was ok. There was another Chinese food place in the food court that was much better, less expensive, and staff more friendly. The Panda Express staff was also friendly. The place was very clean. High standards.

I noticed this location has two stars, but hopefully this review leaves a good impression. Came in and was served by Amanda. Very bubbly, energetic and welcoming. Ordered a big plate so that's three items rice and chow mein. The amount of food that is served in one box was enough to feed 2 to 3 people. Location is great restaurant was clean and service was great. Thank you, Amanda

Horrible. Ordered double pepper chicken and it was 75% onions. Then had a side of chicken egg rolls and it was just mush horrible so disappointed.

I've never tried this location because of the usual long line, but I decided to wait, and I was so happy I did! The food all looked great! I got the plate with fried rice, orange chicken, and honey walnut shrimp and a Fanta Strawberry. They were very generous with their portions! I'm used to getting smaller portions from my other local Panda Express locations so I was surprised! The employees were super nice. I didn't catch the other girl's name, but her and the girl that worked the register, Anabel, were great! I definitely will be coming back to this location!

There was no message inside the cookie. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and they only gave a couple pieces or chicken and a lot of rice.

There was no message inside the fortune cookie... also kung pao chicken only had a few pieces of chicken. Disappointing.

I had to bring my own tomatoes, cropped scullions, and walnuts to add to make it better

2/7/2025, First off, this Panda Express, like all the others, gives way too much chow mien loaded with onions and chopped cabbage (both of which are "filler" items added to the chow mien to add volume) and too much rice. If you get the mixed vegetables instead of the rice those vegetables or veggies they call them is all filled with cabbage (so I ask for just the broccoli instead). Other items along the line are also filled with chopped onions and those red peppers, so when I asked for the Beijing beef, I asked to exclude the onions with are the filler items mixed in, but still I ended up getting many onions included. The price of my bowl was nearly $10, so the prices of Panda Express keeps increasing every 9 mouths, it's become a real rip off because I don't want to be paying for all the cabbage and chopped onions that I have to pick out of the plate or bowl. I also don't ask for rice anymore since they will pile up on the rice on the plate along with the chow mien because these items are also very cheap for the restaurant to purchase in bulk. Panda Express is simply just a depressing restaurant to eat at. The food honestly really sucks!

What I received was essentially a regular steamed-style burger with smash-style sauce on it. There was no char, no crust, and none of the texture you would expect from a smash burger. I was very disappointed. The patty was soft and heavy in a way that didn't feel special or well-executed. We also ordered the chili fries with pastrami, which honestly helped save the meal. The flavor on those was decent, though I personally wish they used regular-cut fries instead of crinkle cut, which made it feel more processed than it needed to be. On the positive side, parking was easy in the plaza with wide spaces, and the wait time was reasonable--about 15 minutes for three burgers and fries. The establishment appears to be Filipino-owned. The menu simply says "burger," but Yelp labels it as a smash burger spot, which is confusing because the presentation includes brioche buns and a smash-style mustard sauce, but not the actual cooking technique of a smash burger. It's unclear what they are trying to be. Overall, it just didn't meet expectations. I'll stick with For The Win instead.
