My girlfriend and I decided to come by and get some dinner, both hungry. I got a bigger plate and she got a bowl. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is because the food was fresh and tastes good. The issue is in the attached photo. My girlfriend's bowl came with at most 5 pieces of chicken, if you can qualify some of those tiny pieces as a legit serving. Definitely didn't get our moneys worth. Edit: Then, after posting this review I had to lower it to a 1 star. I found this sharp object in my meal and it stabbed my mouth and made me bleed. (See attached photo for sharp object)

Grilled teriyaki chicken, beef and broccoli, fried rice, chow mein and a side of vegetable spring rolls.

Ordered the combo plate by delivery. Got the chow mein, fried rice, beef and broccoli and grilled teriyaki chicken along with some vegetable spring rolls. Despite the wait, food arrived still warm and wasn't shuffled. The spring rolls were just okay, they were not greasy at all and had a decent crunch. The chow mein was decent and got the job done. I appreciate the simplicity of both the chicken and the beef and broccoli. Neither were too sweet and both provided room for my own addition of soy sauce and sriracha. I lucked out and got a good size portion of chicken on the plate too! I think it's pretty cool that they seem to have some healthier options you can load your plate with (looking at the super greens). First impressions for this franchise are just okay, I want to give them another try in the future and sample some other items on their menu. Pretty good value for what you get.

    Walnut Shrimp.

The portion sizes are a joke! My walnut shrimp had 4 shrimp and 4 walnuts. The fried rice had zero egg. Everything was small and tasteless.

General Tso + Kung Pao Chicken, with a side of 'half-n'half'. Delicious and hot at 10:50am.

In general, I like Panda Express. While it lacks 'authenticity', it can often make up for it in consistency, freshness, and convenience. Also, looking back on 10+ years of eating at Chinese restaurants, I can count the number of bad meals I've had at PE on one hand. While more traditional Chinese places have had better food, I've also gotten about three times the number of flat-out-awful dishes there as well. So on the balance, if I want decent-to-superior fare for mainstream Chinese, a PE is a good bet. Tried the newly added General Tso's chicken along with the Kung Pao here and was suitably impressed. The food was hot, fresh, and the store was impeccably clean. I need to preface all these good words with a cautionary note: I happened to be there right as they opened, so of course the food was right out of the wok, there was almost no one in line, and they'd just done the morning cleanup. The chicken in General Tso's (deep fried) was excellent - still crisp, with some sweet and hot notes. The Kung Pao could've used some more peanuts but the veggies were nice and fresh without being cooked to oblivion in the wok. About the only 'eh' note that kept me from a 5-star review was the lateness in opening and preparation. As I said, I chanced to be there and hungry at 10:30am. They didn't open until 10:40, and once my order was taken, it was another 10-15 minutes to be served as the chow mein hadn't been cooked up yet! So, a little slow on the draw for 'fast' food, but great nonetheless. This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Currently 6:09, had to wait a few minutes afterwards for fresh chicken (reading these reviews I might've been lucky) chickens good chow ribs good chow mein was a little old. All in all happy with my purchase. The employees were a bit defensive, but what fast food employee isn't (im also a fast food employee taking peoples bs calmly takes practice.) Chicken was cut lazily and large but still taste great. Took a chance here with all these horrid reviews, but good meal, all reviews seem to be from 8-9 months ago

Tonight, Amy caught me as I was about to drive away because the automated system told me they were closed. She went the extra mile to take my order and provide me all the options available with kindness and patience! The best customer service at any Panda Express I've ever gone to! Izzy, and Kendall shines in their teamwork to prepare and bag my order with such swiftness! Honestly made my night how warm they all were and the good vibes they gave off makes me want to come to this Panda more often! Highly appreciate their dedication and care they took even to the last minutes of their open hours!

If you didn't burn the roof of your mouth, you did it wrong. Go back and get another one. It's pretty much how I remember it. Hot, juicy, apple pie. Crispy on the outside and lava hot inside. Don't wait, get yours today. I did go through the drive thru, because you have to order on a kiosk inside and I'm too old for that crap.

They clearly aren't on top of changing the soda syrup or checking the fry quality. Worse, right before closing, the workers turn rude and dismissive like you're bothering them for existing. If you're gonna act that way when it's time to close, just shut down and stop taking orders--don't get mad that you messed up the order, refuse to fix it, and hand out old fries you're about to throw away anyway instead of making fresh ones. I don't know if the lower managers can't keep up with the crew or if they're part of the problem, but the store manager needs to step in and fix this mess. If it keeps happening, I'm calling the 1-800 corporate number to report it. Food was edible at best, but the attitude and quality shortcuts killed any chance of coming back. Avoid this location if you can.

For a Yelp Elite review of an Austin icon like Torchy's, the key is to lean into your "local…read moreexpert" voice--acknowledging that while it's a massive chain now, the consistency and specific "hacks" are why it's still a 5/5 for you. Here is an expanded version that fits your style and highlights why it's a staple for you: The Review Rating: 5/5 Torchy's Tacos is an absolute Austin institution for a reason. Even as they've expanded, the quality at the local spots remains incredibly high. When I'm looking for something fast, flavorful, and quintessentially "Austin," this is my go-to. The Holy Grail of Queso: Let's start with the Green Chile Queso. It is hands down one of my favorite quesos in town. The consistency is perfect, and that hit of diablo sauce and cilantro on top makes it addictive. If you're coming here and not getting the queso, you're doing it wrong. The Heavy Hitters: Trailer Park (Make it "Trashy"): This is a total staple. Pro-tip: you have to get it "trashy," which means they swap the lettuce for extra green chile queso. It's indulgent and 10/10 every single time. The Brushfire: This is my other favorite. The Jamaican jerk chicken has the perfect amount of kick, and the fresh mango balances the heat beautifully. It's a very "purposeful" flavor profile that stands out from a standard taco. Logistics & Service: What keeps me coming back is how reliable and quick the service is. It's my top choice for take-out because they have the system down to a science. Whether you're dining in or grabbing a bag to-go, the quality doesn't dip. Pro-Tip: If you're a regular, ask about the "Secret Menu." They have some off-book items like the "Mad Cow" or the "Tipsy Chick" that are worth a try if you want to switch up your usual order. Torchy's is a masterclass in "Damned Good" consistency. It's fast, it's reliable, and that queso alone earns the 5 stars.

I really don't know what happened to Torchy's Tacos. At one point it was a wonderful, very Austin…read morekind of place and now it is a filthy, disgusting place with mediocre cold food. The only thing I can surmise is that after it was taken over by private equity it has gone down the crapper as do all restaurants that are owned by private equity. This location is incredibly dirty and the food is prepared by people who couldn't care less. The staff which used to be perky and engaged when it was owned locally is now a bunch of disaffected Gen Z types who couldn't care less. We were served by two touch screens and a disaffected young person who couldn't care less and seemed high on gummies. The men's room at this location is utterly filthy and way dirtier than most gas station restrooms. The hand washing basin is dangling off the wall and has caulk all over it which seems applied by a drunken repair person. It was literally disgusting and smelled worse. I was so put off by my visit that I have realized that it is not worth the risk to dine here anymore. I will never return. Torchy's used to be a great Austin restaurant but it is now being systematically ruined by its new owners who are clearly only focused on how much money they can wring out of the place. All the creativity and positive energy are gone, replaced by filth and gross inedible food. The food also tastes much worse and I suspect it is now being sourced at Sysco or some other giant logistics company that produces the same bland cafeteria class food ingredients that other private equity-owned restaurants use. If you value your health, please stay away from this restaurant and its branches. I literally do not review too many places but I was truly blown away by how filthy and disgusting this restaurant was.
