Look, all McDonald's are basically the same--food's standard, value's whatever--but 7409 North FM 620 one really dropped the ball on the two things that can ruin it: old fries loaded with way too much salt, and drinks with basically no syrup so you're just drinking flavored soda water. They clearly aren't on top of changing the soda syrup or checking the fry quality. Worse, right before closing, the workers turn rude and dismissive like you're bothering them for existing. If you're gonna act that way when it's time to close, just shut down and stop taking orders--don't get mad that you messed up the order, refuse to fix it, and hand out old fries you're about to throw away anyway instead of making fresh ones. I don't know if the lower managers can't keep up with the crew or if they're part of the problem, but the store manager needs to step in and fix this mess. If it keeps happening, I'm calling the 1-800 corporate number to report it. Food was edible at best, but the attitude and quality shortcuts killed any chance of coming back. The absolute worst service. The food is McDonald's so that is what you expect. But no matter what time of day or however many customers are or are not waiting expect 20-30 minutes to get your food. This particular location is so hit or miss! Sadly more misses. :( Several times I've gone through the drive through the food is cold by the time I hit a parking spot to enjoy it. The fries aren't even hot, which actually perplexes me. Cold to the touch burger patties? Yep. When I choose to go to McD's it's for a cheat day. I want to indulge! Meh. Somebody call the wambulance! Firstly; "WELCOME TO MCDONALD, WILL YOU HE USING YOUR MOBILE APP TODAY?!?!?!?!?" -Anyone who has been to this location knows this obnoxious loudspeaker recording in the drive through. It *LITERALLY* does nothing. Because even if you respond with yes or no, the individual who takes your order takes no regard to the aforementioned question. Second, and arguably the most important: Customer Service. There is one gentleman (who primarily works at night) who has a very bright & charismatic personality. He gives great service, however, everyone else- not so much. Lastly, The Food: Often cold, freezer burnt, overcooked, soggy, or just wrong. I don't know what is going on in there, but it's not good. I am rating this place 4 stars, but do not be deceived as my rating has many levels and nuances to it. To start, I would like to applaud and nominate Daniel as the best employee at McDonald's. He served me (both with food and with slay) at the drive through and it was literally the most pleasant experience I've ever had at a McDonald's. The establishment is clean, spacious, and extremely fun. They have a play place that makes noises when you bounce on it. It is also accessible to people over 25 years old (aka me) so I can feel like a kid again. I appreciate them not being ageist and letting me play on it. However, I am docking one star because I could not film in the restaurant for my content creator needs. I get it, but also -1 star. ALSO THEY DIDNT GIVE ME A STRAW!!!!! I just ordered a new sandwich called the Smokey BLT quarter pounder with cheese. My bun is literally black and burnt and bitter! And the bacon tastes weird, the pieces aren't separated they are all like blended together like a sheet of bacon, and the bacon with the burger is weirdly chewy. It just doesn't taste right. Also I loved that I got 5 tomatoes literally stacked all on top of each other in the middle of the burger... I don't know what I was expecting but definitely thought it would be edible. 5 am crew sucks. Just came in before work to get a sausage egg and cheese McGriddle combo. Unlike a lot of people, I like McD's. They make a solid product, and until recently sold it at a reasonable price. (As of late they've been getting head-scratchingly expensive for what you get.) Compared to other outlets, this one is pretty meh. I've been by a couple times and a) the service has been slower than average even during non-peak hours, b) the bathroom was less than clean, and c) the TV was set pretty darned loudly to CNN. Personally, I'd visit the Taco Bell next door. This place gets 2 stars on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. HORRIBLE LOCATION, DISRESPECTFUL EMPLOYEES ALONG WITH MANAGER ANAHI. Employee was very disrespectful to my mother, she ordered a fish sandwich with mayo only nothing else. We checked the order before leaving and my mom handed the fish sandwich back and told her that she wanted mayo only no cheese. The employee stated "omg" and slammed the window on my mom, then discussing with other employees if my mom asked for no cheese. I then asked for the manager that's when Anahi came to the window trying to take up for the disrespect of the employee. Anahi started yelling and being disrespectful herself. So we see why the employees have no respect for customers because the manager has no respect for customers. I've never experienced something so horrible. I've never reviewed a place before but wow, this McDonald's was something else. I went to the mobile pickup and it took them 20+ minutes to bring me my food. There were maybe three cars in the drive thru the entire time, so they weren't even busy. I had a meeting I needed to get to and I was considering just leaving without getting my food, but they came out at the last second. I should have checked it before I left, because my order was not only wrong, it was cold. I ordered a quarter pounder with bacon and instead I got a double cheeseburger with nothing but ketchup on it. So I got charged almost $10 for a double cheeseburger with ketchup and a medium coke after a 20 minute wait. Awesome. The McDonald's app says to contact the restaurant for a refund but I doubt that would lead to anything given the service I've already gotten. Absolutely gonna avoid this place like the plague, and so should everyone else judging by the reviews of this location. read more

I figured why not it's cheaper already than Starbucks and it was on my way to work. I got the McCafé® Caramel Mocha. It was pretty good. I'll be back for their coffee drinks. I rarely eat fast food but I've had a couple of experiences at this particular McDonalds. I actually chuckled when I searched yelp for McD's in Round Rock and came up with 6 options... My first experience was years ago when I was on the go and hit the drive thru at this location. My order: Big Mac with no lettuce/ add tomato value meal I left the drive thru and headed back to my office then at 183 and Lamar. After cell phone calls and planning, I finally opened the bag when I got back to the office. What I got: Veggie Mac with tomato with no lettuce and no meat (2 patties missing). I had a friend tell me one time that for fast food you should order something special and then they have to make it instead of just pulling it out of the bin. Scratch that idea. I called and they were extremely apologetic and sent me $25 in McCash for my trouble. Today, I would have preferred something else but my son was sleeping in the back of the car so I hit the same McDonalds with better results. My chicken biscuit and coke was delivered correctly. When I went to order in the drive through, the lady that took my order did an amazing job and understood my order perfectly. On the other hand when I pulled up to the window to pick up my order they had my drinks ready but my food wasn't ready yet. Not a problem.
