This place is horrible!!! I have no problem with the place or the food, it's the employees and their terrible service!! Especially with the girl that served my food and the cashier!!! They were terrible at their jobs!! They were just downright rude and unpleasant, they constantly gave me dirty looks especially the cashier who asked for my ID just so I could pay for my food!! Unless there is a change of employees, service or new management I will not be returning to this Panda Express, I'd rather go to the one in Roseville!! This evening my wife and 9 year old son went to the Auburn shop for dinner. They are both gluten and dairy free, which makes there options very limited. On arrival they asked the server if the fried rice and teryoki chichen were gluten free. They were assured it was and were told everything was gluten free. Unfortunately, they ate some before my wife went online and checked for herself. Yup, NOT gluten free... So, we now have a 9 year old with horrible cramps and an upset stomach and a wife not doing much better. Sorry, but there is no excuse for poorly trained restaurant staff. Inexcusable and potentially dangerous. Train your staff or close up shop! read more

I have a peanut allergy but despite the teeny tiny warning sign they have placed, I have eaten at this Panda Express countless times and have NEVER had an issue. I always keep a close eye on the staff and have been nothing but impressed with their food handling and keeping items separated. That was of course until tonight. I watched as the girl removed the empty container of fried rice and placed the spoon INSIDE the bowl of kung pao chicken. She replaced the rice, removed the spoon from the kung pao chicken and placed it right back in the rice. I had never seen anything like this and was too shocked to even say a word. My food had of course already been made so I politely paid and promptly dropped it in the trash when I left the restaurant. Unfortunately this will have to be my last time eating here, I can no longer trust the food to not be cross contaminated and it honestly makes me wonder about other general cleanliness practices here. read more

if i could leave 0 stars i most definitely would . this location is very slow , poorly run , and needs some customer service lessons . management needs to learn how to prioritize orders online orders should not be more important than in person customers . i stood in a line last night that should have taken 5 minutes if that it took me almost a half an hour as i stood in a line that didn't move one inch for a good ten minutes while all employees filled on line orders . i will not be returning i will drive an hour to roseville to get my panda fix , thank you very much . read more

I love Panda Express, but I hate this one. Very poor management and employees do not know how to interact with customers. I made a large on-line order 3 days ahead for a birthday get-together. I came to Auburn from Sacramento, and my daughter drove in from Rancho Cordova for my father's 89th birthday. Although the restaurant doesn't open until 11 AM on Sundays, their web-site states take-out is available as early as 10 AM. So I made an order to take-out at 10:45 AM and arranged my family get-together at 11:00. Because of COVID, my family has kept its get-togethers short to be safe. The restaurant was not open for my pick-up when I got there. The staff told me they don't open nor do they even take orders until 11 AM. They took no responsibility for the mistake---just blamed it on the corporate website. WTF! Their management should know how website orders work by now, and should have taken the steps to correct any problems, or called me days ahead stating they couldn't make my order at the time I requested. What's worse, Cate (employee) told me my order would be ready no later than 11 AM. She lied. I finally got my food at 11:20 AM with no apologies and the order wasn't even correct. No wonder this place has such a low Yelp rating. read more

I wish I could give a 0 out of 5 stars for terrible customer service. The ladies in front serving our food look like they don't want to be there and didn't greet or anything. This young lady Cate has no customer service and don't understand how the customer is right. We watch her threw the sauces in the bags instead of setting it carefully. As we were about to pay, my husband looked in the bad and saw the sauce spilled and asked to redo the bag because the sauce is all over. Cate replied what did you say?! in a rude way. Then he said you threw the sauces in the bag instead of putting in it carefully. She replied back rudely No I didn't. And still continue to argued with us instead of apologizing and fixing the issue. After we left, she continued to talk crap to her coworkers in front of the other customers. The management need to re-train your employee. Food was as expected from a fast food joint but the service was terrible. I went around 8 on a Tuesday and one of the workers, Mellisa literally made gagging noises when serving the food, as someone who works in the food industry the is completely unacceptable. Have been to many, many Panda Express restaurants throughout the Sacramento / Roseville areas and couldn't wait for the one coming to Auburn!!! What a disappointment!!! The service is horrible but the attitudes are worse!!!! How these people deserve $15.00 / hour is beyond me, most don't deserve the $9.00 / hour they are obviously robbing Panda Express of now. They wait until they run out of food before telling anyone they need more. This creates a backlog of people hanging around. They dish out the food they DO have so that gets cold waiting for the other food to cook. Then when the food gets put up, they start giving it out to new customers BEFORE filling the orders of customers waiting around!!! OCCASIONALLY, someone is considerate enough to not fill the food they have so it doesn't get cold but a lack of communication leaves that item running out just when the other food is finally cooked. Now you get to stand around waiting again. If they tell you to have a seat, they'll bring it out to you... DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! You'll find yourself going back up to an entirely empty counter because they just don't care!!! The food, when you can finally get some, is what you expect from a Panda Express; delicious!!! It's even better when it's not cold. You're taking your chances on this place right now... maybe after they get their act together but for now, I'll drive down the hill to go to a Panda Express that is worth visiting! read more

I have to say I love Klare! She is so sweet! But Haley was a horrible person. She didn't great us when we walked up. She just looked at us with a look like we were stupid. When my friend asked for fresh chow main she just rolled her eyes. Then she started slamming our food down rushing Klare and us, I wasn't even done ordering. I really didn't appreciate it. As someone who works with the public everyday I know how stressful it can be when you have a lot of people there but you can't have R.B.F. customers see that. read more

Before you write your complaint, just realize FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS. All you people are complaining about waiting in a line to get food, there are people starving in the world!!! So many of you are complaining about "omg the lobby is dirty" before you make that remark, take a look at the time, amount of workers, and the line. THEY ARE BUSY and they are doing their best. Maybe try and CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF. I have seen so many customers leave all of their trash on the table while it is dinner hour and the workers are all hands on deck. They don't have an extra person to send out, and if they do, you'll complain it's taking to long, if they don't, you'll complain it's dirty. CMON PEOPLE!!! They just can't win. IT IS FAST FOOD, NOT A HIGH END RESTAURANT- what do you expect? One time I was in line and this man in front of me wanted some chicken. There was some in the pan and the worker was very nice to say "oh it looks like there's some here, but we have fresh cooking right now, only 2 minutes if you want to wait" may I emphasize WANT??? there was chicken there, he did not have to wait, she was being kind to offer fresh, then this jerk literally started snapping his fingers at her saying that "when I come in here, this food needs to be cooked!" What a jerk. How do you think these rude customers every single day make the employees feel? GET OVER YOURSELF IF THEY DONT SMILE! They are human beings, maybe their having a bad day? Maybe they don't like you cause your being a total jerk. Try being nice for ONCE maybe. I like there food, they employees are friendly enough, and they are trying. I go to Panda Xpress about twice a week, and i find that the overall stinginess of the food is a HUGE turn off. If I have to pay an extra $1.25 for SHRIMP, I better be getting more than 7 pieces, or at least til the slot is full. This is a restaurant. My sister and I came in on Sunday June 5 around 3pm. There were three girls working the front counter, and were talking loudly about going to the lake and getting drunk! Also the one with dark brown hair and thin was really rude and since she wasn't paying attention she over charged us! We don't think that was very professional!!
