Surprisingly tasty food. My daughter and I called ahead since we were charging our Tesla and didn't want to wait long. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that our table was ready for us, food piping hot, and drinks set out. I got the spicy Thai chicken. My daughter got the beef noodle dish. We both loved our dishes. I'd say the beef noodles was slightly tastier than my chicken but both were great. The CA roll was fine but missing cucumber. Overall the portions were large, prices reasonable, and the service was great. The leftovers a couple of days later were still fantastic! read more

The quality is definitely lacking. I ordered two rolls in the restaurant today and I was hoping that it would be better if I got it in person instead of DoorDash, which I did previously it was absolutely horrible. Definitely would not go there again. read more

Friendly take out service. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box. It was fresh and enjoyable.

The noodles are delicious short ribs so tender and salad w salmon is my wife go to meal service could be better but they have so many to gos it seems like that's where staff is needed most--more help I guess but everyone is very polite!!- read more

We live in the Bay Area and have been coming down here lately for some gold prospecting. The first time we came, we couldn't find a restaurant that was good and open around 9:00 pm, but then we came across Oishii. We've been here twice so far and we love it. We get the Cherry blossom and Scott roll, and short rib noodle plate. All absolutely delicious, and service is great! Very kind ladies, quick service, pretty chill ambiance inside. We definitely will always be eating here when we are in town read more

Just wanted to jump on here and give credit where it's due! Thank you, Oishii. Every single time we order delivery from your restaurant, you come through. This evening we got a decent sized order, and your prices are so fair. On DoorDash, there is no option for modifying specifics on menu items. So I called and asked for a modification, thinking the answer would be no. The answer I received was an enthusiastic "yes" from the sweet person who took the call. Once again, you nailed it! Our order was perfect!! So grateful to have such consistency in our community. read more

Location is great next to a Tesla stop. Salad was excellent. A bit slower than I'm used to, but the portions and price were great. Will come here again when stopping to charge. read more

Two of us went for dinner rather than our usual lunch. It's the same menu. We were immediately seated and our drink orders taken. The food was excellent, the service professional and friendly. This restaurant has been very consistent over the years so one can count on a good meal. Parking is spacious and right outside the door. read more

My wife and I were one of their first customers. Food was good service was great. Had a few hit or miss meals so we stopped going. We went back after a few months and it was good but lunch for 2 $54.32 was too much. The reason I'm posting this is we hope Scott looks at the attached photos. The outside of the restaurant looks like nobody cares anymore. Our lunch today was OK. Tofu tasted old. Tempura was greasy which means the oil wasn't hot enough. My wife's bento box was clumsy and chicken was dry. See pictures below. Good luck Scott.... maybe your Auburn store needs more attention. read more

Great little place with delicious food. Highly recommend the "salads" with the fresh fruit, avocado, cabbage salad and protein! Worth the extra $1 vs. the rice plates... We had the teriyaki salmon which was perfectly cooked! Not overdone and dry like many restaurants. Also had the teriyaki beef and our server noticed that it looked overdone as she set it down, and immediately offered to replace it while we are the salad... Turned a 3 star meal into a 5 start for food and service! I also tried a strawberry yogo vera which I had never had and it was delicious. Thank you for a great meal. We will be back! read more

Everything was delicious! Not sure what they put in their Teriyaki sauce but OMG, the best! Service was great, very sweet and attentive. Restaurant was clean and the service was fast! Thank you! read more

This cute spot brought me back to Japan! Easy parking, located near Bowling and a gas station, this spot has some of the best Japanese food I've had in the U.S. The chicken teriyaki and popcorn chicken teriyaki were delicious. The 49ers Roll had a good amount of fresh salmon and rice ratio with the right amount of lemon on top. The California roll was super filling and the pieces were pretty thick too. The seaweed salad was fresh and the miso soup was refreshing. The vegetable tempura was light and crispy. The salmon salad was also light, fresh and nicely seasoned. The food was all so delicious I can't wait to go back again! read more

Located in Auburn off Hwy I-80, this restaurant offers a large parking lot, making it convenient for visitors. The inside is cozy, with tables featuring cute partitions that add a touch of privacy. The service was quick, and the food was delicious. There's a variety of items on the menu, including sushi rolls, noodles, chicken and rice. Overall, it's a great spot for a satisfying meal. Also if you love their teriyaki sauce you can purchase for $10 dollars. read more

Great staff always friendly and the food is always good! Great phone skills when taking orders and order pickups are always promoted when I pick up our order. read more

I placed a phone order and was told the wait time would be approximately 35 minutes. When I arrived nearly 40 minutes later, I was informed that my order had never been sent to the kitchen because it had been forgotten. At that point, I was asked to wait an additional 10 minutes for my food to be prepared. Unfortunately, I was on a tight schedule and could not stay any longer, so I had to leave without my order. This was very disappointing, especially since I had planned my time around the wait estimate that was provided. Mistakes can happen, but I would have appreciated better communication and attention to customer orders. This is the first time I have experienced an issue like this, and it left me with a negative impression of the service. read more

Oishii Teriyaki - Teriyaki chicken - Japanese Near Me - Auburn, California

Who knew Auburn was home to some of the best teriyaki in Northern California? Stopped here based on bestie Cam's recommendation on our way home from Reno, and it was excellent. I ordered a deluxe box with beef teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, and honey chicken, as well as an unagi roll. I'd skip the sushi next time and stick with the teriyaki. Can't wait to come back! read more

Oishii Teriyaki - 49Ers Roll Dragon Roll - Japanese Near Me - Auburn, California

Excellent Japanese food within very close walking distance to the Foothills Motel. Been a couple of times and yes, it is small and dependent on the clientele at the time, can be noisy. The staff are efficient and friendly. We've had the chicken teriyaki and sushi. All very tasty. read more

4/5 food. Bought the beef teriyaki plate. Cabbage tasty. Salad standard. Beef was cut well. Not a lot of sinew. It tasted like if teriyaki jerky was softened and rehydrate but not in a bad way. 2025 $18 after tax and before tip. I wouldn't deliberately eat here again but it was a pleasant stop on my way through. Place is really clean. It had a bit too loud country music. Service was OK. Seemed like a young college student worked when I ate there. read more

Great food and good prices people are nice and clean eating area fast service try it never a long wait time to get seated

First time eating here. We ordered to go. Selected the Thai Chicken plate and Teriyaki Beef and Honey Chicken (2 meat bento box). Everything was really good. Thai Chicken was good and spicy. Honey Chicken was good, not too sweet, but my favorite was the Teriyaki Beef. Thinly sliced, little charred pieces on the ends and perfectly balanced teriyaki sauce. Crave worthy dish! Price to portion ratio and friendly staff make this a new go-to for us. read more

Had the daily special for lunch. The food was good and plentiful. The service was good considering I was there @ their busiest time. Very friendly servers. The noise level was very high. I consider it a good value. read more

Surprisingly this was the first time I have tried this place. But was craving some chicken rice and some sauce, if you know what I mean. Came in her early on a Monday so it was pretty empty but it seems like it gets a lot of online orders as people kept flowing in and out. All the ladies working up front were very friendly and gave good service. I ordered the two piece combo plate with teriyaki chicken and Thai chicken. It was served with rice a salad and some cabbage. The teriyaki chicken wasn't as saucy as I was expecting but it was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed it very much. The Thai chicken was also good and as I got deeper into the plate it got spicier. LOL very yummy meal I will definitely be back and try some other things. read more

I've never heard of a Japanese/Sushi place that doesn't serve nigiri. Ordered a roll and couldn't believe how thin the sushi slices were. Mixed tempura was fine, can't really mess that up. All the other patrons ordered teriyaki plates, so I'm sure their teriyaki is fine tasting (again, hard to mess that up). So if you don't care about sushi and only care about teriyaki dishes then may be worth giving this place a shot. But for true sushi lovers, drive a bit further and hit Mikuni's. read more

Oishii Teriyaki is always a winner choice, for both lunch and dinner, and tonight was no exception. Kind, considerate service. Great food. Large portions. My personal favorite is the Thai Chicken salad, along with a shared sushi roll. Unexpectedly cute interior, being that it's located next to a bowling alley. Popular and delicious! read more

First time trying it cause my sister in law recommended it one day. Parents and I decide on 2 tempura plates for them and I chose the beef noodle plate to go. I go there and place the order, it's a nice little place. Waitresses were cheery and friendly. Not bad bit of ambiance for the place either. Consensus of the home is the food was delicious, if a bit pricey for three dishes totaling almost $50. Folks enjoyed their tempura plates, they raved the broccoli was delicious. As for me my beef noodles were good although they must have different definition of what a medium heat spice is because this was spicy and I love spicy food but I was expecting it to be a subtler heat. If this is medium to them I don't think I want to know what hot is. Still I would recommend it for like your special occasion dinners like a birthday or an anniversary, some kind of event you wouldn't mind spending a lot of money on for good food. Or I'd just go solo on it. Either way we're definitely going to be coming back for the food. read more

We tried this place when they fist opened It was terrible About 3 years later we recently gave it another shot My teriyaki beef and chicken was much better but wife, who's not a picky eater, said her salmon sushi was the worst she has ever had. She strongly believe the salmon in the middle was fake. It was horrible And the salmon on the outside was so small and thin you couldn't taste it. They need authentic Japanese chefs in the kitchen. read more
