One Flew South is ...nice...but for value and reliability you can't beat Panda Express. Stand around the food court at terminal E for any amount of time and you will find Tech ops, ramp, flight attendants, and pilots all q'd up at this take out spot. If you like Panda Express, this place is a no brainer. If you don't frequent them, be sure to give it a try. Chances are you will not be disappointed. I had the two combo orange chicken, pepper chicken and fried white rice. While the presentation was simple in a plastic box, the portion and taste was well worth the 9.29 I spent for food and a bottle. At least it was Stuck in the airport waiting for international flight, wanted a light snack to hold me over until dinner. Got a side of mixed veggies. They looked undercooked so I asked for some sauce on it which they happily provided. The veggies were cooked slightly above being raw, so none of the natural sugars had come out of the veggies and none of the sauce would adhere to the veggies. But it was healthy, price was in line for the other options in the airport, and while the line was long, it moved fairly fast. read more

I love Chinese. Like I really love Chinese food and I want it all the time. I don't care if it is frozen, from a fast food place, or from a real place. I don't care I just want the flavors all the time. I always get orange chicken & fried rice from here. I wish they had sesame chicken, but I will take what I can get. The food always comes quickly and the staff is always friendly. Being that this is fast food, it isn't the best quality and not always the best flavors but it is still always good. They charge $8.30 for 2 entree and 1 side. If you get ONE small entree they charge you $8.35? They were out of almost everything so we decided to get one entree since the fried rice and noodles were gone, along with over half the entrees... Defying the odds, this airport Panda Express is one of the best fast food Chinese experiences I've had in recent memory. Go figure. Prices are the same as other PE locations, the line moved quickly, the food was fresh despite being 8 or 9 PM on a Sunday, and the portion is absurdly large. Is this the best Chinese food you'll ever had? Of course not. But, considering airport food in general, and fast food in general, you could do much, much, much worse. Manage your expectations (in my case fried chicken chunks in gooey, spicy orange sauce) and you'll probably be satisfied. Was I tired after vacation, suffering from a sinus headache, and maybe in a state of lowered standards? This was by far the worst Panda Express experience I've ever had. I travel throughout the airport consistently and today I decided to grab a bite to eat on E concourse. Not sure about what kind of day the worker was having but she was completely and utterly rude to myself and the others waiting behind me. I asked for their steak & mushroom blend (which was practically gone) so I had no problem waiting for more but instead of her informing me there would be more coming up soon she responded "I'm not moving around for you". I was in shock and if I hadn't been in such a bind on time after waiting I would have left. Those that heard the rude comment (that also proceeded with an eye roll, smacking of lips, and metal containers being tossed by her) got out of line and began apologizing to me on her behalf. I wish I could have gotten her name but of course she had her badge tucked so instead I snapped this photo (woman on right). I know this is not how Panda Express conducts business but after such a visit I won't waste my money and I recommend for those of you who care about customer service not to either. read more

I don't have a Panda Express near my home so I always go to Terminal E when flying through Atlanta to get my fix. I believe due to the high volume of passengers that travels through, you have a really good chance of getting freshly stir-fried foods at this airport location compared to other Panda Expresses. I specifically like their Kung-Pao Chicken, and their String-Bean Chickens. read more

The young woman slowly filling the orders obviously doesn't care about her job either. Very rude workers, when it was my tire in line they didn't even greet me the just said what do you want... no eye contact, felt very rushed, and when it was time to pay didn't ask if that was all I needed didn't even ask if I wanted my drink. OK. I love Panda Express.. but I was at the Atlanta airport yesterday and I have NEVER seen such rude employees. I get that they are on their feet all day. I get that it's busy non stop. But Ngom and Randall were so freaking rude. There were like 40 people in line and they could NOT have moved any slower. They would stop helping people to talk to each other. They would stop helping people to wipe up (SLOWLY). They would NOT say "Hello" or "Thank You" or anything. No smiles. Just sour looks on their faces. Ok food. Service poor. I travel through atl airport few times each week. My biggest issue I try to eat healthy. My favorite healthy meals and assist the mixed vegetables with either beef broccoli or green beans and chicken. Anytime after 7 PM they're out of mixed vegetables and I don't want to make anymore. The rotten out of lo mein doodles as well leave and just rice. I know it's your approach the closing time of town they need to be winding down but three hours before closing and they can't offer regular menu items that are healthier nutrition. read more

The workers were so lazy!! Look I get it, it's late and they wanna head home. I worked in fast food during late shifts myself. However, I have NEVER ignored a SOLE customer in line after making direct eye contact and seeing that they're ready to order. The two ladies proceeded to look at me, whispered to each other in front of me, and still just waddled around until finally one of them asked me what I wanted. Fairly good for airport meal. Nothing fancy but at least you get fast hot meal. The serving is fair also. They use a scoop ladle for each viand you choose. The Beijing beef is good but I could barely taste the meat on the mushroom beef since my scoop was mostly mushroom and cucumber in it. But the sauce and savory part was good. read more

Tipping my hat to Franca today. This PE at ATL was a zoo. Huge line. Folks in a hurry. Mother Nature had been wreaking havoc on travel all day. Missed conncetions. Delayed flights. Etc. So imagine what a pleasant surprise it was to discover that it was Franca and her colleagues at Panda Express who took up the responsibility of being the defusers of this potential powderkeg of agitated travelers. They were witty and pleasant and civil to everyone as we all moved through PE's trademark assembly-line of 2 entrés + fried rice. Making us all smile and laugh and feel that we were a traveling community, not just stressed individuals who'd missed connections or were killing time on an unplanned and unwanted three-hour layover at an overcrowded hub airport. And Franca even went one step further. She volunteered to be my personal chef and food advisor. I did what I don't often do -- succumb to the marketing material -- and ordered the Firecracker Chicken, which was being heavily promoted. But instead of just allowing me to fall for the marketing hype, Franca intervened and took it upon herself to warn me, with a smile, that the dish was exceedingly hot, and perhaps I wanted to reconsider. I asked if it was indeed fiery, and she said that for her, it was. But instead of leaving things in the realm of theory, she daintily and efficiently unwrapped a toothpick and skewered some choice and representative pieces of said chicken, and let me test it. It's the kind of gesture of concern and solicitousness that you'd expect at a boutique charcuterie dispensary, not a massive Chinese food chain. But Franca went that extra mile (well her actual reach was about two feet, but figuratively it was that mile). Having tasted the wares, I deemed it worth the risk. And ten minutes later, as my lips seared a bit from the edible inferno, I walked back over to Franca, thanked her again, and said "now is the time, if you're so inclined, to say 'I told you so'." Update 10/7/18 I'm a regular passenger at Atlanta airport and always eat at Panda Express there. Today I noticed that the servers were moving between the food line and the cash registers, handling cash, then going back to serving dood without any hand washing. Aside from being a poor hygienic practice, it's a public health violation. Management needs to ensure that this does not happen in order to prevent food borne illnesses. Panda Express Hartsfield airport concourse E. You get what you pay for. Orange chicken was indeed orange with a touch of burnt aftertaste. The fried rice looked semi fresh but was very dry. Soy sauce was required to complete the experience. If it were not for the burned aftertaste it would've had one more star for the review . I've been to my fair share of cheap Chinese joints and Panda Express is usually in the upper crust. Surely it would be worth taking the train all the over to Concourse E, I thought. Wrong. The orange chicken in particular was like eating Chicken McNuggets drenched in sugary orange slop. The rest of the entrees---the string bean chicken and the peppercorn shrimp---were just serviceable, maybe 3 stars. All delivered on a bed of fried rice in a classically unattractive styrofoam tray. Actually, I shouldn't complain about the disposable tray---it made jettisoning the last third of my dish that much easier. For this price you might as well go next door to Qdoba, where the food is still overpriced but at least you won't feel like you've committed a small crime against your health. read more
