This location is pretty rough if you're planning on going through the drive-thru. It's great if you want to test out your 4x4 on some off road-esque terrain without leaving the city limits. Food is good though I wish they might have included some soy sauce or teriyaki sauce for my teriyaki chicken.

My heart is slightly breaking as I write this review. Food is good here. It's not the food that troubled me. Let me mention a few things that did: The person helping me as I ordered wasn't the best customer service. For instance, when I asked if I could have some of the garlic veggies she simply said no, instead of explaining that yes I could but it would be a side order. She also went skimpy on the protein portions. I found this particularly piquant because she had advised that the shrimp with walnuts was an up charge and when I agreed to get it she proceeded to give me, in my opinion, based on past experiences, quite a small portion. The worst part of this experience wasn't the dirty table that I had to clean and sanitize myself but rather the extremely LOUD and offensive music playing in the restaurant. F bombs/ vulgar lyrics were playing and yes there was a family with young children dining inside. I was horrified. When I approached a very nice employee he mentioned my concerns to the manager and the music was changed and volume decreased. Panda is a family friendly dining place correct? It was more like a gangster rap nightclub in there. Some soothing or fun holiday music would have been much better. Or really anything family appropriate without cursing. The peach and lychee tea was not great, pretty bland and lacking in flavor. The veggies could be steamed a bit longer so they will be softer. I will now step down from my soap box.

I came down here after work ravenously hungry and just to get out of the house for awhile to enjoy the sunny weather we've been having this week. This Panda Express is located next to Red Robin and across from McDonald's by the entrance to Elmendorf Air Force Base. A long line of cars snaked around the parking lot by the drive-thru for the dinner rush. The city has eased restrictions on dining in for restaurants but by reservation only. Panda Express is not one of those establishments hence the massive drive-thru line. The good thing was that these cars were all moving progressively at an average of 2-3 minutes which only made my wait about 15 minutes before pulling up to the menu to place an order. The menu was limited to just a few entree selections and sides. Basically, it was a small selection of their best-sellers so personal favorites like the Shanghai Steak and the Five-Flavor Shrimp were not available unfortunately. There was no specific time given on when the full menu will return. I picked the Kung Pao Chicken and the Honey-Walnut Shrimp as a two-entree combo with Super Greens (a great mix of Chinese vegetables sprinkled with minced garlic). The employee at the window said that they only had a small amount of Super Greens, but there was a new batch being prepared and that the wait was going to be 7 minutes.... 7 minutes with a line of cars behind me?... This wasn't what I wanted to hear but I was too hungry and I didn't want to wait in the parking lot in addition to having waited in line. I had a choice of fried rice, steamed rice, or lo mein noodles. I went with the steamed rice to fill the other half of the sides. I have to hand it to the staff on their safety measures. All the employees had protective masks and even a transparent plastic curtain was draped across the window to protect the upper face when doing cash or card transactions. They even used a plastic to-go plate for customers paying in cash to minimize hand contact.

I ordered the orange chicken bowl and a cup of hot & sour soup. Brought back memories of food court at anymall, USA. The taste of the food is consistent, it's Americanized Chinese. The chicken was a bit too sweet and the soup was surprisingly good though it was cold. Too bad they are next to Red Robin because If I had to pick between the two for lunch, as much as I love Chinese food, Red Robin wins YUMMMM!

Order from door dash got three pieces of beef with hella broccoli and chow mien with no veggies

Looks so plain not how it Is when I order from store and pickup myself the extra I got was just full of veggies no meat and I was charge extra

The food is always delicious. Consistency is key to keeping my business. The location is clean and the staff is always incredibly friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great spot to eat.

Not sure what the hype is all about. It's like they are afraid of seasoning, the food is just bland.

As expected, the restaurant was crowded. After thirty minutes, it was hard to find an available table. Food is ordered at a counter, then a waiter takes it to the table. Portions were large. Fried rice tasted just right. It was piled high and I special ordered it without peas. It was prepared correctly. Five stars! Pot stickers were good. 4 stars. My wife had beef chow fun and that was five stars and the portion was large. Self serve soft drinks are available with unlimited refills. Strongly recommend this for anyone who likes good Chinese food. Our bill with tip was over $60. No sales tax in Anchorage.

Genuinely not sure how to rate this place. It was absolutely an unexpected find in a place I did…read morenot expect a Chinese bakery, let alone dim sum. For clarity: this rating is off the dim sum and dim sum-type dishes alone. Did not try the baked goods (aside from dan tat) or the rice plates/noodle plates, which seem to make up most of the menu. And the dim sum is... hit or miss. The bok choy is a generous portion, properly cooked, not the most interesting, but not bad. Spicy shrimp won tons are on the small side but tasty, although lacking in the umami that their better-known competitors (especially starting with a "D") begin with. Shu mai (shrimp or chicken, I got shrimp) were the most average/solid of the bunch, which to be fair, is entirely adequate. Har gow looked very pretty, but the skins were too thick, both skins and filling decidedly missing in flavor. The bean curd wrap was giant, super-sized vs. what you'd normally see, and while the bean curd wrap was on-point, the pork filling was pretty plain. This extended to the lo mai gai (sticky rice), which was ENORMOUS, like triple the size of what you'd see at normal dim sum, and similarly plain filling. To their credit, the quality of the stick rice itself was quite good, and the amount of filling was ample. Finally, the dan tat. Crust was a bit too crumbly and lacking in richness of the better ones, and the filling was oddly wrinkled, like it'd cooled too fast. However, the filling quality was good enough. They were busy when I walked in for dinner and were completely full a few minutes later, so much kudos to them-- they clearly are appreciated by the community, and it shows. Some diners at the table next to mine got the usual rice/noodle plates and many left quite full, so portions are good. Kitchen, as busy as they are, is both fast enough and a bit uneven. Short version: you're in Alaska, you can't expect what you get in 415 or 626. However, don't get too carried away either.

The steaks are very good and properly cooked. The salad that comes with the steak is one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen. It's a mountain of ice berg lettuce, dripped with white vinegar (not vinaigrette dressing, actual industrial vinegar), and augmented by 3 cherry tomatoes. So, I would HIGHLY recommend that you get the soup instead! For the other side, I subbed veggies, and it was absolutely worth the up charge! The veggies were fresh, crisp and NOT boringly steamed like so many other steak places. The interior is not fancy and beat down. If you want a "nice steak" come here. If you want a "nice restaurant" to eat it in, this is a tough one to recommend. I haven't had their Chinese food, so I can't comment, maybe next time.

The interior has your normal Asian decor with two Chinese soldier statues greeting you and the entrance. The interior of the Buffett is pretty spacious and open and it has two smaller dinning areas for more privacy. Staff: 3 stars Our server greeted us and sat us quickly and asked for our drinks. She had a "hurried" state of mind but had a friendly smile. Good: 2.5 - 3 Stars With Three separate buffet stations for hot and cold items, it had "ok" selection. Nothing extraordinary. Basic limited sushi selection. They sure loved Philly cheese because I counted four different sushi version with it. Hey, it is easy to make, a great filler to the stomach, and is inexpensive. Great for the business but terrible if you want other sushi varieties. The other stations will have your other basic Asian dishes but nothing to say, "Yummy or Wow"! Again the Buffett is great if you want to fill your tummy and spend time with friends or family members. Price: 2.5 Stars We went on a Sunday, the price was a lot more than expected. Over $30-40 per person. Does that seem reasonable? Not in my book, but it has been a while since I've gone to a buffet. Only reasons we went because some of the other members enjoyed it and no one wanted to cook. Which sounds pretty reasonable to me.
