Yonna was very kind, she listened to my rant and she understood. Chase was also very kind and easy to converse with. One of the employees behind the counter cut herself while moving things around, she then proceeded to run water over her cut. Then grabbed the spreading spatula with the same bloody hand and handed it to another employee who then used it and proceeded to roll another, customers burrito. Then continued to use the same gloves and contaminated everything and rolled my burrito with the same gloves. Both girls were very aggressive, and i didn't want to deal with them so I paid my 10$ and tossed my food absolutely disgusting. Pancheros is usually a place I'll stop and eat at frequently but this was not a good experience at all. We walked in and the worker looked at us and said "What do you want" I was taken aback by this and it was very very rude. We got our food and not pictured my burrito had a huge rip in the tortilla. Overall the restaurant was not clean and there were multiple tables that had napkins sitting on it. Food on the floor etc. I included a picture of the dirty tables and the bathroom that was disgusting. What once used to be the best burrito in the area has turned into a huge mess. Very seldom are the ingredients fresh. More often than not they are out of basic ingredients such as chicken or the burrito dough itself (unless you are willing to wait 30 plus minutes)... just a massive disappointment from what Pancheros once was. read more

This location is the worst Pancheros I have ever been to. This is a shame because I truly love their cheese quesadillas, chips and guac + queso and burritos. Every member of the staff that I saw today at like 3:30 (when I came in there was only one girl behind the counter with her mask below her chin, which never got pulled up) and I was only one of three customers, but when I left there was a long line of people waiting to order (all of them were respectfully wearing their masks but were not distanced in the least). By then there were three staff members behind the counter, two of whom had pulled their gators over their mouths - not covering their noses which is a huge pet peeve of mine, especially with people in food service - but the same girl working who helped me never pulled hers from beneath her chin. In addition, there was not one single table that had been cleaned off in the entire space. Not to mention that the garbage bin had been partially pulled out of its spot near the tables, but someone (an employee?) hadn't finished emptying it I assume. I wish I could say that this was the first time this had happened - I keep giving this location a chance because it's so convenient for me, plus I love their food - but it is not. Every time I've been there in the last year (before and during Covid) I have seen its sanitary conditions in horrible shape. This franchise owner REALLY needs to step in. This has been our fall/winter go-to quick dinner place for years. We were out of town weekends March - Nov. this year, so this was the first time we have been there this season. We have been planning it all week, can't wait for my favorite burrito! But way too much has changed!! We arrived at 5:40 on. Saturday night. We waited in line for over 15 min, even though there were only 5 people ahead of us. Staff seemed to be moving VERY slowly. And there were only 3 teens working the line, & black shirt (manager?) working grill. Just before we ordered, the first teen on the line who was filling an order for man ahead of us and said "that's the last of the carnitas" over his shoulder to black shirt grill worker. There were only 2 tables of people in restaurant, tables looked clean, and only 8 people had been helped before us and they didn't all order the pork as I can see the 5 in front of us...? But they aren't really "out" at 6 pm on a Saturday?? But now he tells us they are "out of pork", which is the thing we always order. Ok, so we make due with steak. As we go down the line I have to ask for veggies as I wasn't offered any. Lid comes off-its nearly all onions, really!, and they don't looked like they are very cooked...maybe a little steamed ? I always get double veggies, but forget it. NOT doubling this offering. I asked for the shredded cheese on the side- always give it to my husband since it's part of the price, but I don't want it - and you would have thought I asked her to make the cheese from scratch herself. Get to register to pay and apparently they forgot to train mr checkout completely. We tell him two burritos one with guacamole and he just stares at the gal finishing burrito wrapping. She says something we couldn't hear and he says "ok". Then I hand over two nearly filled punch cards and say, "I know you've switched to reward cards, can you add these on, please?" "Untrained" might speak only another language as he just shuffled them back and forth between his fingers and then looks back at her. "We don't take those anymore" she says. Me: "I know, but they can be added to the rewards card, right?." Her: "nope, we don't take those either, it's an app now." Me:"ok, what can we do?" Her: (over her shoulder to the black shirt at grill) "we don't take them anymore, right?" Black shirt says over his shoulder "no, we don't" and turns back to the grill. Hummm- that's looks to be it for us, so we hand "untrained" $ and say 2 waters please. (This is all happening at a snails pace.) He runs the card and hands it back. Two wrapped burritos are sitting on the counter with the little side cup of cheese. He looks at us. We ask for a receipt. He finally figures that out. And hands it to us. Then Just looks at us. We look at him. My husband finally says: "could we have a tray? And Water cups?" Untrained looks under the counter and comes up with it finally and gives us a look like we are from Mars. We head over to utensils and sauces, etc. bottles of sauces mostly empty, no forks, napkins are jammed so tight in dispenser we rip several trying to get some out. We now have only 20 min before our movie starts so we are going to eat quickly. As we walk to our seats we chalk it up to poor staffing for this shift and just grumble. Bite into our burritos. They are barely!!! I mean barely!! Warm!!!! Now there is a line of about 9 people plus the 5 working their way down the steam line. We want to take them back and asked for them to be warmed, but we are down to 15 min and who do we trust to quickly do this? NEVER had been barely warm before! Usually we have to wait for them to cool. Seriously, we have eaten a lot of these over the last 6 plus years, and never have they been anything but steamy! So frustrating!!! Apparently too much has changed in food prep, and hiring must be impossible..? On a Sat night around 6 this place should be humming and churning out quality at a great pace!! We've seen it happen before! We decide we will give this location one more try - if none of this staff is working. So incredibly disappointed!!! Was looking forward to the burrito I have been craving for months. Not anymore! Can we talk location management? Clearly something is missing! Corporate standards of food and training? Or are they just interested in opening new locations so they don't care about older ones and quality...? I'd expect this from a chipotle, but not a local company. Today I ordered at 45 minutes in advance and it wasn't started when I walked in. I also tried delivery once and only half the order came. This has to be the worst Pancheros location ever. Stood in line for 45 minutes and the line moved very slowly as online orders were given prIority over walk ins. Finally when I was ready to order there were so many orders that mine got messed up and totally got a dIfferent burrito bowl. People who work here have zero customer service skills and not tidy. The manager was not friendly, the clerks mixed up the order of multiple customers orders while making them, we were given the wrong order, and instead of using the "bob" to mix all the ingredients they used the lid of another container. Getting a response from this business on the status of my employment was beyond ridiculous and here's why... I recently moved around the Marion area and was looking to transfer to this store to continue my employment. I ran into a few communication errors with the manager at first but didn't think twice about it. I met with the manager and he told me things would be all set for me to join, he was just not able to pay me as much. After a quick discussion we agreed on a set amount of pay and said he would get things going. It took an entire week for him to just accept my information online so that I could complete all the things needed to join the store. Contacting the manager became a job in itself due to the fact that I would not receive responses and would have to send double messages just to get his attention. I went through all of this and still waited another week to hear back about when I would be added to the schedule. Little did I know that I went through all of this, just to be told the opposite of what we originally talked about because the store was already "fully loaded" and they could no longer except me as an employee . I wish the manger would have told me this during our first meeting and I could have looked for another job else where. Part of the hiring process required me to allow the store to take copies of my personal information. It gives me an uncomfortable feeling knowing that this establishment took my information and now just has copies when I am not an employee. I have reached out to the manger to erase my information, but I have no way of knowing if he truly did. I have never experienced such a poor display of management in the workplace before this. read more

When we went in there they started yelling at us to put masks on, even though there was no signs requiring to wear a mask. To anyone who hasn't been to a Panch before adding veggies along with meat is an extra dollar (You can do half meat half veggies but it isn't a lot of meat then). If you add Queso it is always another dollar. Over all the burrito was ok. The burrito itself tasted undercooked and since it tared I got two layers of undercooked burrito. I have mixed feelings about Pancheros. I'm from the east coast, where we have Chipotle, Qdoba, and Baja Fresh. My wife and I really loved those places as an alternative to more traditional, greasy burger type fast food . While the tortillas at those places can't hold a candle to the fresh-pressed tortillas at Panchero's, I feel like the steak at those places is considerably better. If Panchero's were a national chain, they might have an excuse; but they're a regional chain that happens to be situated in the region of the country where steak comes from. read more

I saw the reviews of this location when getting directions and thought "who's writing reviews for this place? It can't be that bad." But believe me, it is that bad. I love the other Pancheros in town, it's one of my favorite chains, but this one let me down and I'm not the only one. My "fresh pressed" tortilla had been sitting out for who knows how long when they used it for my burrito, even with "extra rice" the portions in the burrito were the smallest I've ever seen them scoop, and both the meat and tortilla were COLD when they handed them to me. I'll eat Pancheros again some day, but never at this location. read more

I'm back in the homeland and while I was out running errands, I thought I would pick up lunch to take away. Panchero's was close, so I stopped in. I have been craving solid, decent burritos since living in the UK for three years and thought I would give Panchero's another go. However, if I were to pick a chain of this sort, my first choice would probably be Qdoba. The burrito doesn't seem nearly as big as it used to, but the prices are still pretty high. The staff were quick and efficient enough, the rice was a little underdone... how you can do that when it has been sitting in a warmer for most of the day is beyond me. The pico de gallo also looked old and there wasn't much flavour from it. I did want veggies and sour cream on my burrito, which would cost more. For a burrito with veggies and sour cream and a small drink... it was almost $10! Far too expensive for a burrito! read more

I am a frequent visitor of the Dubuque location which I've never had any issues with...the Marion location - not good! I understand it is a new location...but it needs some serious help! My chicken was cold, they didn't mix it together so I'm getting bites of just beans/rice/chicken etc., and I had to help the cashier count money (which she gave me $10 extra and I was kind enough to return).
