Just passing through Cedar Rapids and decided to try Moe's Southwest Grill on a whim - SO glad we did! This place is amazing! I had a chicken bowl and it was absolutely incredible. The flavors were outrageous - everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Seriously, the guacamole was the freshest I've ever had - so green and perfect! And can we talk about the free chips and salsa? Such a nice touch, and they were delicious too! Seriously considering a detour next time we're in Iowa just for Moe's. Minneapolis needs a Moe's Southwest Grill in the worst way! My husband and myself lived in down South awhile back and have been excited to have Moe's again. My daughter had the quesadilla and I had a salad. One of the workers coughed into her hand, with gloves, and then kept dishing up chips! Emailed customer service and never heard back! Also, they quit serving pickled red onions, which is one of the main reasons I liked this place. read more

Nachos are such a rip-off! All meals get free chips. The nachos is chips, the same meat as about 1 to 1.5 tacos and fixings of maybe 1 to 1.5 tacos. Then they give you about $2.00 in queso the price is the same as 3 tacos. Skip the nachos. Also - why are we asked to tip when there is no wait staff? You don't tip before you eat food or for the honor of carrying your own food to your table and cleaning up after yourself. read more

Waste of 20 bucks. I door dashed Moe's for the first time and totally regretted it. The guac is so salty I can't even eat it and my hard taco shell is stale. Taco was also missing ingredients. Similar to others in town, but a step above. Many ingredients, and freshly prepared. Food is served at a higher temperature than Panchero's. The menu can be a little bit confusing, since they don't show all of the items like the Julia Gulia and the Art Vandalay. On Moe Mondays any burrito including pop and chips is only $5.99, a very good deal. The salsa bar has 5 choices ranging from mile to extremely hot. They have the new-fangled soda machines, which can be slow if a child in front of you can't make up their mind. The only reason there might be a long line is customers unfamiliar with the ordering sequence and menu selections. Enough seating for everybody, and good parking lot. read more

Moe's is a favorite from college so I was excited to have another quick Mexican option near our house. The portions are huge and you always get free chips and salsa. Moe's Monday's are a great deal and includes a drink. They use cleaner ingredients, which is always a good thing. That being said, I find their food simply okay. For example, I only now found a salsa I like and it's seasonal (The Space B'Green Us salsa - that's the one), but the chips are pretty much the worst so maybe it's for the best. Moe's is fine. Serena is amazing. I ordered lunch for a work staff meeting online. The system would not let me order it for the time we needed. I called the store and got Serena. She took care of everything - canceling the online order, re-entering my very large order, etc. Also, she was super nice about the whole process. Not once did she seem the slightest bit annoyed. Excellent customer service and went above and beyond to help. She made Moe's my favorite place for Mexican. read more

I'm giving another star for the managers who cared enough to contact me to make things right. However the manager I talked with at the store didn't seem to concerned or upset that this happened? We were greeted by the friendly staff. Zach, Serena Morgan and Josh who were on duty taking great care of the business and the customers. It was my first time to this restaurant so I wasn't sure what to order. Everyone was helpful making suggestions. I was happy to see you could order healthy options. First, I regret not taking a picture, because the presentation was quite good. My husband and I stopped in for lunch and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. It wasn't too busy and the service was fast and friendly. Since this was our first time visiting, we didn't have any expectations. The food was fresh and I really enjoyed the options for my bowl. I feel that what was missing for me was flavor and the spicy kick that I've come to expect from living in the southwest for the last 20 years. I was excited to see there was an extra hot salsa and disappointed to find out that it was hardly hot, let alone extra hot. The queso was fair, but again, no flavor. I love this place for a quick lunch salad. Ask them to put extra lettuce on at the end you will be glad you did. I have been sticking to the chicken the steak has been giving me indigestion. I love all the endless salsa because some of my favorite things are lettuce and salsa. read more

I love how the employees greet you as you come in the door! I always get the Joey Bag of Donuts burrito. I also love that fresh chips and the salsa bar are included! I often get a side of queso as well! They have the Coca Cola freestyle machines for drinks which I enjoy too. I also got a free burrito for my birthday! I will definitely be back! :) read more

Good food and they run pretty good specials. I love the 1/2 price bowels on Monday!! They can have a line out the door and still get customers though unlike some other assembly line restaurants. And they have a rewards program which is always a bonus. read more

Better than both pancheros and chipotle. Although chipotle isn't hard to beat considering they have a history with food poisoning lol. The overall ingredients used here are similar, but what sets them apart is their rice. Southwest and cilantro flavored rice give your burrito an extra boost! An added bonus is they they give you chips and salsa to go with your meal! Chips are light and salty and the salsa bar has simple, but tasty choices. 10/10 would recommend. I'm putting this a goid sized step above Pancheros. The carnitas meat was great and the ingredients were fresh. The option of grilled mushrooms was awesome too. I also liked the chips and selections of salsa on the bar. They seemed faster than Pancheros, but only slightly. I signed up on their app and got free stuff in my very first order. "Free chips with every order"......Don't believe it, you are paying considerable mark up on that burrito for those "free chips". $9 for a burrito, better at Chipotle or Pancheros for $2-$3 less! The pork had WAY too much cinnamon on it as well, that is not the only thing I should taste. I love my quesadillas... and they deliver a very very well filled out one. No skimping on anything there. The salsa bar is good, and the queso is good, but the chips.... ok they are free, but they are probably the second weak spot of the place. First weak spot, navigating the menu.
