My boyfriend and I went to Hacienda Las Glorias for margaritas. We also enjoyed their chips and salsa and guacamole also. The margaritas were very strong. The guacamole and salsa were just ok. The guacamole looked and tasted old. The salsa was watered down and not that good either. Their chips were nice and hot. Interior decor was festive and neat. Our server was not very friendly, which was disappointing. Overall, just an ok experience. Probably won't return.

The exterior looks can be deceiving. After walking in and sitting at the table I was immediately greeted with chips and salsa. The waitress was happy and helpful and attentive throughout the meal Katrina M. did a great job. I ordered the lunch fajita and it was out to the table in less than 10 minutes. The food was sizzling hot and tasted great. For only $7.50 it's hard to beat this as a lunchtime spot. I will definitely be back later in the week.

Was in town for business and was looking for a local restaurant that I could have a cocktail and dinner. Well Hacienda more then served the purpose. I had the Pork Carnitas (Iowa is known for its pork) and a margarita and my coworker had a burrito and a beer. The food and drinks came out so fast we were almost afraid to eat it, but I am happy we did. It was very good and I'd definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Beef tips on anything is amazing ! The Micheledas are great. I definitely think The place would benefit from having a company come in a deep clean.

While in Iowa a friend of mine suggested I try this specific Mexican spot. I hadn't had Mexican food in weeks so I was all for it. This particular outing was a group outing but it could also serve as a date outing as well for those of you who enjoy dates. Chips and dip are automatically served as soon as you're seated which was good because I was hungry. I ordered the "Arron Con Pollo" which is juicy grilled fajita chicken on a plate of Spanish rice, smothered in queso sauce. Took no time for them to bring it out which was a plus for me because I don't like waiting too long for food. The food was everything in the description and more. The chicken was juicy and the queso was amazing. Served extremely hot I had no complaints. This place is fast, professional and they take pride in their dishes. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Mexican food as well as this particular dish too.

Taco Chip Salad to go, extra charge for guacamole.

Based on Carry out orders only. Food is ready really fast. Things were packaged nicely. I order from them often because they are near my office., they are always friendly as you walk in. Food on the other hand is average. I don't dislike it nor would I go out of my to get it.

    Tiny dirty bathroom.

Solid three star rating in the cheap Mexican race. Two stars for existing. One star for serving edible food. The whole place has seen better days - everything is worn out, ripped, wobbly or just plain dirty. Try not to look at the floor if you can help it, although looking up only gives a view of all the exposed hvac. It is quite a date spot. The concrete floor behind the bar and nasty bathroom seal the deal. Service and speed are decent but all margaritas had the same 3 second pre-mix pour, just different amounts of ice. Medium blended strawberry had the same booze as a jumbo regular on the rocks. I watched a dozen drinks all go out with the same 3 second pour, the technique was well practiced. Maybe order beers instead. I wouldn't say don't try this place. What I would say is if you like another dirty, dark little Mexican joint that pours decent drinks, go there first. The food isn't awful. Edible. $10-15 for decent entrees.

The best margaritas in town by far. The service is prompt, the food great and the ambience is perfect.

The chips and salsa was good to start off with while you wait for your food. The one negative things is that my soft shell taco was cold. The portion of food was amazing and a lot for the price you paid. The location of the restaurant is easy to get to and very inviting once you're inside. I will be back to try other dishes.

I recently visited Adelitas Mexican Restaurant in Cedar Rapids after hearing that they made their…read moretortillas in-house. Sadly, when I inquired about this before ordering, the server looked at me as if I was asking something outlandish and nonchalantly remarked, "We've never done that - there isn't ANY restaurant around here that has the people to do that." This set the tone for an experience that was a mixed bag. Service: Service-wise, I was left wanting. Not only did the server's dismissive response about the tortillas disappoint me, but I also encountered another hiccup when it came to payment. After we had already paid with a debit card, we were informed that ANY sort of card used was subject to a 4% service fee. This felt like a hidden charge that should have been communicated upfront. Another minor issue was the lack of drink refills. My guest ordered a soda and was never offered a refill or asked if they needed anything else. I only ordered water for lunch and was disappointed to be offered a single refill when our food was initially brought by someone other than our server. My cup sat empty for over half an hour while we finished our meal. Food Quality: The food at Adelitas was reasonably tasty but nothing extraordinary. While their flavors were acceptable, their menu offerings of only shredded chicken and ground beef options as protein fillings fall drastically short of what I consider "industry standard." I'm not saying everyone has to have a barbacoa pit out back, but at least having a chicken breast or steak option would be nice. I will say, I did appreciate their lunch special, where you can get two choices that included tacos, chimichangas, burritos, etc., and a very well-made tamale (with your choice of sauces - and they allowed me to substitute in their queso sauce). Atmosphere: Adelitas scores well on cleanliness and location. The restaurant is well-located and offers a cozy, family-friendly environment that makes it a great spot for a quick meal. The interior is clean and spacious, with decor that is vibrant and reflective of the restaurant's Mexican theme, creating a lively and enjoyable dining experience. Outdoor seating is also available for those who prefer it. **Overall Experience:** While Adelitas Mexican Restaurant is a decent choice for a quick lunch on this side of town, my overall experience left much to be desired. With so many better options not only in Cedar Rapids but also in the surrounding neighborhoods, I personally won't be heading back to this particular restaurant anytime soon. For those considering a visit, it might be worth a try if you're in the area and need a quick bite. However, be prepared for potential service issues and hidden fees.
