Everything cooked to order and they offer any customizations such as extra crispy hash browns and even accommodated an order of milk be put in the freezer to be ice cold for the meal. This place is iconic. If you're in Granbury, you have to stop by, I would recommend for breakfast. Coming from Dallas, the prices are unbeatable. The prices are good. Service so so. The chicken fried steak was really good. Zucchini fries were good. The banana pudding needed mixed better so we left it. The hamburger was awful. It was somewhere between e texture of a veggie patty and tasting like a sausage patty unseasoned, gross. Fries were just crinkle. The catch in here may be to ask what they are making fresh. Chicken fry was fresh. Burger- unknown frozen patty. No refill drink the whole time we were there and was only asked as she picked up our dirty plates - too late and was not offered to go drinks. read more

Came here about two weeks ago on a Sunday. I don't live in Granbury and this is my first time here... There was a little bit of a wait and we were told by employees that there was a little mishap in the kitchen with the grill and that there was a little delay in delivering food... All I can say is this... We were seated as promptly as they could do under the circumstances which was less than 15 minutes and I saw a few people leave who were so rude and so disrespectful to people who were doing their best to appease everyone. Our service was great, maybe it was partly timing, maybe it was the restaurant maybe, it was just general good service, but I would be back in a heartbeat... Pam's Too is the epitome of a small-town cafe in every sense of the term. No frills; basic Americanized fare. Few exceptions. Located off Acton Hwy 4, they have been a staple go-to place for early risers and the after-church crowds on Sunday mornings, serving standards for both breakfast and lunch daily. Breakfasts are served either by the combo or type desired, or simply a' la carte; served on off-white plastic dishes that remind me of my elementary school lunchroom experiences. Even so, plastics aside, the food is consistently decent (good). No adorning florette of parsley or twisted orange slice. Absolutely not. You get what you order, and that's it. Bear in mind, this breakfast may be basic, but you definitely get what you order. Service is prompt and courteous for the most part. My coffee cup rarely went empty during any visit there. While there is a menu of all options, I would hazard that most people go for what's on the gigantic daily board adorning one of its walls (hard to miss). There, one can find options of specials, choice of veggies, et al. Also listed are a host of sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, desserts, and a host of others. Once again...basic, but fairly good. The prices are very good. Given the local demographic, I would suggest they cater more towards folks who have tighter budgets, and sometimes even smaller stomachs (not unlike that small-town population they epitomize). Nonetheless, the food is good, and served to order. I've been there VERY early in the morning, and had my meal brought to me in just under 5 minutes. "Frog" and his wife, Maxine, are often there at all hours running the ship. Don't be surprised when a long-haired older guy walks up to your table to check on you...that's Frog. Down-to-earth, and all about pleasing his patrons, Frog stands out in a world combative towards disheveled hippie Vets, but for all the right reasons. He has an overwhelming sense of warmth and true gratitude for your patronage that keeps you coming back for more. Adorning the walls (almost every square inch) are 8X10 photos of war veterans. A proud display of those who have sacrificed all, and many who have simply played an essential part of America's wartime history. It's not unlike having a mini-museum to look at while you're there. In a couple of photos, you can see Frog in his less long-haired days, with the undeniable boyish smile that he still possesses even today. "Character" is a word that comes to mind while writing this review. It's not about being the "best" in a world of restaurants that want to compete for that title, but in being themselves. We normally eat breakfast only and the gravy, biscuits, hash browns and chicken fried steak were very mediocre plus, the service was not as friendly as it once was. We now go to the original Pams, and it is better but they take only cash and no cards. Dont recommend Pams Too as of this review. read more

Only a few things to think about; you will receive the menu & realize it's literally "Pam's Too" so it's an extension of the 1st Pam's, so you would expect it to be just as good. The coffee here tasted nothing at all like coffee, very watered down, more water than coffee bean & no amount of creamer or sugar could save it; it was about as flat as a funeral home resident's hospital monitor after watching a horror film. Food was pretty good but only one problem: it came after more than 40 minutes of waiting yet the people who came here later than us received their food first which was strange; Pam's (original) would never do that sort of thing but I just assume it's an occasional thing & that service usually isn't that slow so I give it benefit of the doubt. Me & my husband spent 5 days in granbury at a B&B call Inn at lake granbury for my birthday. On the 19th of September we went to this place to take me out instead of eating at the B&B for something different. We went to Pam's Too. It was a very racist place from the time we walked in. No one was wearing masks that were serving food (COVID-19) it a must don't you think!!!! No one greeted us they were all just whispering and staring at us....they never came to our table. So after about 5 mins me and my husband got up and left. And a lady that worked there said BYE, see yall later, have a great day very sarcastically. We kept walking got in our car and did not entertain it. But A lady that worked there followed us out the parking lot in her car blowing the horn at us. I told my husband someone was trying to get our attention. So he stopped and rolled the window down she got out her car and walked up to the window of our car. And she said she was sorry what happened in the restaurant and she asked why we left. My husband just said....my wife birthday is today and she wants to just eat at a different place. The lady said she didn't want us to leave because of bad experience that they serviced ALL KINDS!!!! My husband said what do you mean ALL KINDS....She responds and say ALL KINDS I mean ALL KINDS PEOPLE. I told my husband to roll the window up before I go off and we drove away. Trust me we know what she meant by all kinds. But my thing is she knew why we left cause we never said anything about how we were treated. But she knew as well as we did. Hints the reason she followed up to ask us why. Very rude. I do not recommend this place. I would never go back here again. And I do not advise anyone of color to go to this racist place either. We decided to stop for breakfast based on packed parking lot every time we drive by. The place is small, cozy and inviting. Cutest decor. I am a regular at Pam's Too during the week, the atmosphere is friendly and helpful just a good breakfast cafe. However, on the weekend the atmosphere is totally the reverse. A woman named Maxine walks around like she is mad at the world, barking orders at the staff, correcting the staff in front of customers, the service is not as good as during the week. I can only describe the feeling as toxic. Several of the staff are on the verge of quitting, no one on the staff can stand her. I will never again go here on the weekend. read more

Nice surprise to find Pam's Too. Had the Spanish Omelette. It was packed full of cheese, jalapeños and big chunks of ham: $7.95 . Had Sweet Tea. Excellent brew. I call it "500 mile tea". You can drive 500 miles without stopping after drinking it. But it is good southern tea. Hash browns were actually browned and tasted great. Service was old world greatness. Wait staff stayed busy, filling coffee cups ( caffeinated and uncaffeinated), clearing tables, keeping a watchful eye that every customer would enjoy dining at Pam's Too. We did.
