We are at this restaurant last year when visiting Granbury for a graduation. This year we ate there again out of request from our 17year old son. We have had breakfast both times and it doesn't disappoint. Their biscuits are where it's at. We haven't had anything we have liked either time. The waitstaff is always super friendly and quick to serve you. The restaurant itself gives the fun cafe vibe and decorated so cute with all of the Fire memorabilia. It's definitely on our list when coming through or to Granbury! read more

We were headed through Granbury and saw this place on yelp. It was pretty packed but we only waited about 10 min to get a table. The inside is decorated with local fire dept shirts and other memorabilia. They have great menu and i wanted everything they had on it. They started out with a basket of bread for cornbread that was so good. We ordered breakfast items. Son got eggs bacon and pancakes which he loved. I got thier version of the chilaquiles and husband got the taco which was massive. We can't wait to go back and try more! read more

Food is good. Service good too. Owner can be a bit of an ass. He runs the register at the pay counter. Recently my wife and I went to Firehouse after church, as we occasionally do. We noticed,after the waitress dropped off our check, that in addition to the two entrees we had ordered and our two drinks, there was an extra 8.99 item on our check. After waiting about 15 minutes for the waitress to come back and correct it, I decided that I'd just go to the register and get it straightened out. Well, the guy was not only obnoxiously rude about it, he basically accused me of lying, saying "well it's obviously something y'all ordered. Where's the other person that was with you? I was pretty stunned by his response and told him that he could ask his hostess that took our name and seated us, or his waitress that waited on us (if he could find her) and they would verify that it was only my wife and I from the moment we arrived, waited for a table etc. Seeming disgusted, he said "well I guess it was a mistake" and begrudgingly took it off our tab. We drove around until we found the perfect lunch spot. Everyone that we interacted with was warm and hospitable. Honestly, made us feel like we were regulars, everyone came and said hello and checked in on us. The food was great. I got a blueberry pancake and a side of crispy bacon. I pancake was huge! It came served with lemon butter and warm syrup. The hubby ordered chicken fried steak, hashbrown and toast. Coffee was fresh and hot. My daughter and I had breakfast here and absolutely loved it. I ordered the breakfast special--two eggs (cooked perfectly), bacon (crispy and generous), hash browns, and a massive biscuit smothered in creamy sausage gravy. Everything was hot, flavorful, and filling. My daughter went for one of their giant pancakes--delicious, fluffy, and way more than one person could finish (unless you're really hungry). The coffee was fresh and delicious, and the whole vibe of the place is charming with lots of firehouse memorabilia decorating the walls. It's a seat-yourself setup, and the service was quick, friendly, and welcoming. Clean tables, quiet enough to enjoy a conversation, and very family-friendly. We also grabbed a big chocolate chip cookie to-go, which turned out to be the perfect sweet treat later in the day. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Granbury around breakfast or lunch- they're close around 2pm. A local gem worth visiting! First visit to this location and the food was AMAZING. Everything was tasty and had been freshly cooked. We were a little confused when we walked in b/c there is not a "please wait to be seated sign" but the waitress was great and sat us down promptly. The place was packed and you could hear all the chatter but very homey vibe and smiling faces. We plan to return soon b/c I now want to try the lunch options. Very good pick!!! I go here for breakfast at least once a week. The staff is always friendly and always make sure you have everything you need. Coffee is nice and hot and the food comes out fresh and hot. They offer a large variety of food and I have found that you better bring your appetite because the portions are huge. Their open face scramble is my go to its starts with a large homemade biscuit which to me is one of the best I have ever had. It is then covered with hash browns,:two eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage. It is then all smothered with gravy. It is a lot of food I usually take half of it home. And all this food for under $10. I will warn you to think twice before ordering a stack of pancakes unless you are really hungry each one is the size of the plate so three of these is sure to fill you up. One last thing if you are visiting here on the weekend be prepared to have a small wait as this is a local favorite but will be definitely worth it read more

I really wanted to try the weekly specials, money specifically so im so happy that im in town today and i was able to check them out a few hours before they closed! The place is super cute, and well AC'ed which you definitely need in this heat. The staff is super nice and attentive, overall a very nice place to have breakfast/lunch. We got: A complementary break basket with a delicious home made warm loaf with butter and delicious honey corn bread!! Monday specials: smothered pork chops and meat loaf. I got my pork chops with buttered corn and a twice baked potato. The gravy was like a mushroom soup, and the pork was so delicious and tender! Came with some rice as well! Super tasty!! The meat loaf was soooooo good, nicely spiced, with a good sauce, super yummy beef as well! We got the fried cabbage which was buttery and delicious! And the mashed potatoes which were soooo buttery and so yummy with the white gravy! Then we got the HUGE blueberry pancake with bacon (sooo good and came with a thick slab of butter as it should!!) and the bacon was crispy! The pancake was also topped with powered sugar! We had friends visiting from out of town and decided we would all try this place for the first time, together. It was PACKED on Saturday morning. But as a table of 6, we were seated quite quickly. Service was fast and our food came out fast and hot. But be sure to go hungry or plan on sharing with someone because the food portions are HUGE! The food is delicious here. The waiter was welcoming, quick, attentive, and knowledgeable (didn't catch his name). Upon arrival at 8:30am on a Sunday, it was quiet, but by 9am the place was loaded with customers. Get in early or be ready to wait a bit. The waffle batter was a nice sweet. The egg omelette had quality ingredients. The hash browns were perfectly grilled and had the perfect amount of crunchy shavings. Probably the best hash browns I've ever had and I don't tend to like them because other places don't crunch them enough or just mash them up like potato cakes. But these hash browns had something different about them that made them really good. The place has a couple TVs spread out which I thought was cool and good for when your team is playing. The upholstery in the booth I sat at could have used a little loving. The place had cool decorations for Halloween which added a little more charm. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast and I think the plethora of customers would do the same. My only recommendation for this place is that they provide warm syrup for waffles/pancakes. I love when places do that - it helps the butter melt and keeps the cakes warm. Service they are not trained servers just your average sling hash kinda joint. Which I would not mind, but it's just very outdated. The cleaning liquid is so strong I can't even taste anything! I'd rather stay home eat cereal I just don't understand how this place stays in business...maybe people think there's really nothing better....
