THE STAFF: The night we went, there was this guy & girl serving. Gosh they were quick! Holy moly! I was so impressed! FOOD: We got the special soup, curry sweet potato bisque. Oh man! I'm still salivating over that! It's enough to share!

The two of us came on a Wed night just after 6:30 and we waited about 45 mins to get seated (they told us and hour, so no issues). They had the most pleasant hostess working! My bride ordered the Pecan crusted Drum and we're pretty sure she was served the Parmesan Flounder. When the server set it down, he said Flounder. And when she said she ordered the Drum, he said it was Drum. I ordered the Blackened Drum and it was tasty (the fish didn't look anything like my bride's). The menu said collard greens as a side, however I was served broccoli. I was fine with either, but they may want to update the menu or have the server inform you of the change. The side salad was pretty dry....we think they may have forgotten the vinaigarette dressing. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread came out after we were halfway through our meal. It was good though! Even though we didn't have a great experience ourselves, we would probably try it again since the place must be popular for a reason

We ordered the fried green tomato special of the day, which came with burrata and salad. It was incredible. My partner ordered the catch of the day, which was blackened swordfish with risotto. He loved it! I ordered the mahi mahi BLT. They were extremely generous with their portion size for the fish, bacon, and especially the fries. The ambiance is very nice! Inside had plenty of space for folks to be seated without being crowded, but it was never too loud. They have bar seating, tables, and outdoor dining. The art is locally sourced. I signed up for their waitlist to get a reservation, and it worked! I was able to snag one. Thankfully I did, since they were busy and had a wait for over an hour for walk ins. Highly recommend planning ahead! If you end up waiting, they have several places for you to wait including outside in the shade with some games and seating area.

The parking lot was packed, and we were told the wait would be 30-45 minutes ... but we were seated in less than 10 minutes! The restaurant is beautiful and classy, and the menu had so many things that sounded phenomenal. Prices were a little higher than we wanted to spend that evening, so we opted for sandwiches. A cheeseburger for my husband and a chicken sandwich for me. His came with fries, while I chose the rice and beans. Our food took at least 30 minutes, and we were told the kitchen was having trouble keeping up. The presentation wasn't particularly photo-worthy, but those rice and beans were off the charts! I could eat them every day. They had such a unique flavor. I couldn't quite figure out what was in them, but I suspect there may have been a hint of nutmeg. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive until we were nearly finished. It did take quite a while to get our check and payment processed. I'd definitely return. There were so many appetizers, drinks, and desserts I wanted to try. Next time, I'd be prepared to spend a little more!

Beautiful, jazzy, Art Deco space. They had wonderful cocktails to choose from, cold draft beers, a big wine list, and very interesting food. We felt like just tapas, we got the empanadas and the "naked" egg rolls. We also got one order of smoked mac and cheese. The empanadas were too hard. I wish they were a little softer, but the egg rolls were delicious, and the mac and cheese was shockingly good. Probably the best I ever had. They have these really cool individual rooms that you can rent with friends if you want to make a special night of feeling like you're in a different world back in time. Definitely worth a visit.

We enjoyed the watermelon carpaccio, fried green tomatoes, garden risotto with added shrimp. Everything was very good. The tomato portion was enormous and the beer batter was crispy and light. The risotto? It wasn't really risotto, it was more like a creamy rice but it was delicious. And those shrimp were big, juicy and tasted like they just came out of the sea. The watermelon, though, was a shocker. It was grilled! It had a really great smoky flavor that was totally unexpected and the dressing was light and fresh. We always sit at the bar and the service is always on point.

I discovered Nino's when looking for places to dine over my stay in Greenville, NC. I read it was a…read morebusy place so I made sure to make a reservation. When I arrived, I thought I was going to a fine dining establishment with the decor outside and patio. Even the chandeliers and painted ceiling when entering set my expectations high. Then I was seated in the empty Rat Pack room. It was obvious that I was exiled to be hidden away from the other diners in the main dining area. A couple did join me over an hour later. I would have been fine dining in the room to myself if the staff standing around the hostess stand were not loudly complaining about their personal problems such as their high electric bills, rent payments or needing to complete homework. These conversations belong in the break room, and not for guests to need to listen to, so much for the fine dining atmosphere. My waitress was friendly but did not go over the specials, or seem that familiar with the menu. I started with the Sicily Sunset and some bread. Then I ordered the Pear and Cheese Sacchetti. The pasta pouches filled with cheese and pears in an Alfredo sauce. It was to come with the garnish of cracked pepper, Romano cheese and parsley but that was missing. Parmesan was added at the table. I was a little shocked when my dish arrived within minutes of ordering. It made me feel like I was being rushed as I was isolated and the food came out too quickly. I do wonder if it was freshly made. I could tell they were trying to turn the table quickly as then the dessert menu arrived while I was still eating my entree. The pasta dish was good with the textures and flavor. I would have had a better opinion of the food if I had just ordered that and skipped the dessert. The dessert menu wasn't very Italian so that was disappointing. I had to laugh that the assorted Italian cookies contained chocolate chip, sprinkles, and a chocolate dipped cookie. I did take a photo of the menu, so you can read it yourself. I went with the profiterole, not realizing their version was pre-made. So they took it out of the refrigerator and served it cold. The pasty's texture was changed by the temperature and was chewy. The chocolate ganache had hardened rather than flowing like lava. The dish was not good and I didn't finish. I did mention to the waitress that it was not good and she just said that they might make it different. They pre-prepare it so it isn't fresh. For the price, the service, atmosphere and pacing were below professional standards. I do not recommend Nino's if you are looking for an upscale environment. I would not return after my experience.

I woke up...and had a delicious time! The reviews here tell you how great this place is, and well...believe them! I thought for sure it would be over-hyped and not live up to what people write and say, but I will admit to being wrong. First, our server, Krickett, was agreed upon (by my partner and I) to be the best server we have ever had. She was friendly, outgoing, had good recommendations, and an all-around joy. Second, the food! Wow! My partner had a salad...simple enough, right? But no, she was amazed by it. And she is a vegetarian, so she has had a lot of salads over the years. This one blew her away. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Was it life-changing? No. But it was way better than what a grilled chicken sandwich normally is. It was tender, juicy, with just the right seasoning. I would be a criminal if I didn't mention the bruschetta...get it with the burrata...it is worth it! The crispy bread with balsamic drizzle is good enough with the diced tomato mix, but the cheese gives it a new level. And, I hope you saved room for dessert, because the key lime pie was a mouth explosion.
