Pampered Paws in North Attleboro, MA has not only lost my business but also my respect. I booked my appointment online, received 2 confirmation emails, and was told over the phone that they would call the vet to confirm my dog's vaccinations. After dropping my dog off at 9am, I received a phone call at 10:45 from the owner Caren, sounding very bothered, saying that she had just arrived and my appointment had never been confirmed, that they had no proof of my dog's vaccinations, and my dog had to be picked up immediately. I showed up at the facility with proof of vaccination and confirmation emails in hand. I was greeted by Caren who was rude and less than willing to help figure out where the miscommunication arose. I asked why I was not asked for confirmation or proof of vaccination at 9am when I dropped my dog off, and instead 2 hours later. I would have been understanding of this miscommunication at 9am and looked to book another appointment had it been before I left my dog. Caren explained that she had a rough morning with her kids, so her employee was likely trying to help her out by not bothering her -- clearly not understanding it had resulted in my 13 year old dog sitting there for 2 hours without being touched. Caren rudely went on to say that the website says you need to get a call from her to confirm the appointment, the emails don't count. Caren is very contradicting and her website says that you need to wait for a call to confirm your appointment but also says that you, the customer, need to call/text to confirm. Don't forget they send confirmation emails which apparently mean nothing. The website also says to attach proof of vaccination while their employees say over the phone that they will handle that. Don't even bother trying to call the place, you'll likely never get through to a real person. Caren went on to say my dog was too old to try and squeeze in. She showed no sympathy or understanding of how her lack of clarity online and on the phone wasted my morning and caused my dog stress. read more

DO NOT SEND YOUR PET HERE. My 90 pound dog was shoved in a crate all day long so the groomer could "plan out their day". His undercarriage was shaved horribly short and dangerously close to his bare skin. It was clear when we got him he wasn't able to go to the bathroom or given water all day. He jumped out of the car immediately pooped ran inside and drank a whole bowl of water. He was clearly mistreated and the haircut looks horrible. The people there were rude and unhelpful. First time having my dog groomed here, it went well. Dropped her shaggy self off with required vaccine paperwork at 8:30 (was told to use 8-10 window), and picked her up when done at 12:30. She had her hair cut well, nails trimmed, and they did some serious cleaning of her back-side where there had been some awful cling-ons, not bad for $60! The place seemed busy, there were at least five or six dogs there when we left and lots of hair blowing around, but the staff were attentive and friendly. I dropped my dog off to the neighboring daycare as I was away on a trip for a week and asked that my pup get groomed. When I returned I was informed that they were only able to wash him because the person that was supposed to groom him called out or couldn't make it in. No big deal. I texted The owner because no one answers the phone and my message stated I was confused to see that he was only bathed and not groomed. When can he come in to get groomed and I did not want to pay for another wash. If he was unable to get groomed someone should have called and told me and I would have rescheduled instead of them washing him and me having to pay twice. Well the owner didn't call me. Instead she has one of her workers call me with the biggest attitude telling me she is extremely taken back by my text (same response I'm seeing to one of the reviews here). She begins telling me the owners schedule as if i am supposed to know when the owner comes to work and telling me my dog is basically a terrible dog, that he pees the crate and tries to bite. HE IS A DOG!!! I called the kennel next door and they informed me yes he does pee sometimes in his crate but that's what's a lot of dogs do, that it was not a big deal and they just clean it. My dog has been going there for close to about 10 years and two things I can say. Not once have they ever spoken to me about my dog being a troubled dog EVER and not once did I ever speak to the owner and she seem like she was in a good mood but I appreciated their work and kept my dog there. After the coworker calling me and telling me off she tells me she is going to refund me the wash fee and my dog is not welcomed back? Just like that. Because you guys made a mistake and i didn't like that I texted the owner like i always do and my dog is now banned?There has to be more to this story because I have had zero issues with them EVER. Maybe they didn't like the way I looked and wanted my dog gone because she was never nice to me? Maybe they hated my dog and waited for a reason to kick him out but for someone to call me so unprofessionally at 9 in morning while I'm trying to calm her down and ban my dog because I wasn't happy with him only receiving a wash says a lot. We booked an appointment to have our dog groomed. We went to the address on their website which is in Plainville, but now they are in North Attleboro. We informed them of our initial misunderstanding and they stated that they don't have access to their website anymore in order to change their address. (Red flag #1). Upon entering the store, there isn't anything there. It looks like an empty warehouse with the grooming hidden behind a door. (Red flag #2). I probably should have walked out however my dog really needed to be groomed. There is more that I could write, but I think you get the point. Jackie has been grooming my dogs for 8 years. Everyone at Pampered Paws is always friendly and helpful. I feel completely comfortable leaving my two toy poodles in their care. Grooming is always consistent and the dogs come home smelling great! read more

We used to bring our prior golden retriever here and always found them to be extremely competent. Odie was a big shaggy golden and they treated him well, he was tough to groom!!! Now we have brought our new golden and once again they just do a great job. They have our confidence. read more

When picking up my dog today, I was greeted by disgustingly rude staff. Before I could even say hello, I was told I came in the wrong entrance and that it is a "liability" for me to be in there because any of the dogs could bite me. This was shocking to me because first of all, their sign was right next to the door I entered and secondly, the door wasn't locked and had no kind of sign preventing entrance. I figured if a business is concerned with customers safety that they would at least lock the door to prevent people from walking in or move their sign somewhere that people can easily detect it as the entrance. The tone and attitude of the staff towards the dog owners is very disappointing and leads me to wonder how bad they're treating the dogs while grooming them if they don't even show the slightest bit of respect to the owners. It also seems like they don't have any education on organization and scheduling because the past two times we have booked appointments something has gone wrong. The first problem occurred when my mother booked a morning appointment, and when she showed up to drop off they were closed. She did not receive a call or text from the business or the owner saying they were going to be closed or trying to reschedule. They did not even have the decency to call and apologize for the inconvenience even though we left voicemails trying to figure out what was going on. When we finally got a response by the owner and her only excuse was that she has kids and there was a delay, still no apologies but more sarcastic comments and rude tone. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and book again but yet more difficulties were coming. The second problem occurred today when they were calling my mom saying someone needs to get the dog before 2 because that's when they were leaving. When booking the appointment my mom confirmed that she would be done with work at 1:30 and would be there before 2. She was getting interrupted while with clients all afternoon getting calls saying someone needed to come get the dog, but they already knew she was working and would be there before 2. So why are they calling excessively causing a panic?? And then when we called back no answer. I then had to leave class early and rush over to grab our pup worried that he was going to be left there. Basically if you can't handle all the aspects of running a business while keeping customers happy, then DON'T DO IT!! If you're a miserable person and rude to the public, DON'T WORK WITH THEM!! I recently changed groomer's and started going to Pampered Paws b/c they were less expensive than my previous groomer. Unfortunately, at this point they have cost me over $200 in vet bills, dut to infections from grooming. Also, 2nd to last time she was there they cut here. ....I have now made an appt with my old groomer and apologized for leaving. Please seriously consider is the cheap price for a cut and shampoo worth your dog' s health and happiness. Unfortunately we learned the hard way. read more

We took our golden retriever there and we told them to cut it to about an inch all over. My boyfriend picked her up and she barely looked like they cut her hair. Her tail, chest, stomach and butt looked like they didn't even do anything. My boyfriend seen her and said you didn't trim her ears and they said oh you wanted those trimmed too and took her back in and she came back out and looked like they cut a few hairs maybe. so he just decided to screw it and leave. I guess when he said cut it to an inch all over that just means legs and paws to them. We are new to wasilla ak and read nothing but good reviews, but sadly enough we will not be taking them there again. Waste of $65 on something we could of done ourselves. read more

Our Goldendoodle dog has very difficult hair to groom, and we have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly in terms of his haircuts. He's come home with really short hair (and some psychological trauma), been sent home without being groomed because of his curly hair, and with bills over $100. Thus, we were very pleased when our dog came home from his first Pampered Paws haircut. Our dog comes home looking great and happy. I've tried several groomers in the area and Caren at Pampered Paws and her staff do the best job on my Maltipoo as well as my American Bulldog. Both dogs are always well taken care of by this facility. I have had no health complaints for either dog and have been going to this groomer for years. In fact, the one time I had a concern regarding one of my dogs (which turned out to be nothing) Caren personally called to follow up and ensure that the dog was okay. read more
