But, most importantly, Cooper likes them. No cages are used which is a big deal for Cooper. He was a rescue from an Amish puppy mill where he spent the first 6 months of his life in a cage! That was more than enough, and I promised him no more cages! Before I found Kim, about 10 years ago, it took the groomers 3 hours AND, when I pushed my way into their grooming area, I saw cages upon cages filled with dogs. I think poor Cooper was terrified that he was back in a puppy mill. When I saw that, I understood why he wouldn't walk in on his own. I asked if he could join the Doggie Day Care until it was his time and they said no! I would have to pay for a full day's care! I was NOT happy! And that's when I accidentally drove by Shaggy Chic. It was a very happy accident! Kim and Pepper really care about the animals they groom, and it shows. Over the years word has spread, and right now they're not accepting new clients. My best friend was very happy that she became a client shortly before they had to stop accepting new clients. So, keep them in mind for the future. I, for one, intend to keep right on going every 6 weeks with Cooper, and whatever other pup(s) may come into my life. Thanks, Kim & Pepper, for the great job you have done all these years, and continue to do, for my Cooper!

Knowing most mobile groomers are booked out months, I called AJ's and explained my dilemma needing my mini Schnauzer groomed asap. He squeezed me in the very next day! They showed up on time and he did an EXCELLENT job on my Rocket. When he came back into the house Rocket was, calm and happy and looking great! So I know he was extremely friendly and gentle because I can tell when Rocket gets stressed and he was definitely not stressed. They contacted me the next day to make sure everything was ok and scheduled all my appointments for the year! Highly recommended for ALL your mobile grooming needs.

Brought him to the vet two and half days later and found out he has a heart condition that when under stress caused his body to shut down. He didn't eat, drink and had no temperature for 2 days then he was gone just like that. If you love your animal and haven't had they groomed outside of your house keep it that way because who knows what stressful things they did in there. All about the money and no compassion. $200 spent plus another $900 at the vet and they couldn't save him because they couldn't get a temperature reading. He was never the same after the service and he's never coming back. We made the mistake of having your services. Sure this might have happened with another company but it happened with this one. Your cat will be happier with an in-home professional. He was only 5 years old and had no known issues. You killed our cat with your services and lost our trust and many others! cat killer!

It looked like Edward Scissorhands went to work on him... but not the good part of the movie where he does a good job, the part where he goes psycho and destroys his work. My daschaund spent 8 hours locked up inside of a cage and then the lady had the audacity to berate me and tell me what a terrible dog I had. This was my poor puppies first time being groomed and she treated him nothing more than a piece of meat. Now let's go to the part where she cut my dog, this woman literally cut my dog and it got infected to the point I had to take him to the vet. I hope this company goes out of business I believe it would be in all our animals best interests if this place went belly up. I still can't believe a full grown woman couldn't handle my 12 pound daschaund, I think she should quit and start giving haircuts to people for their closed caskets, that way Noone can see this hack job whack job

However, when my husband and I changed jobs, we need a place with longer hours to accommodate our commute. We brought him to Petworks and it's the greatest. You can tell that everyone here is incredibly passionate about the animals who come here. The owner, Stephen, is an amazing guy. Actually everyone there is pretty amazing. We were "those customers"--our dog as our little fur baby, so we're needy and worrisome and the type of customer most would rolls their eyes at. We never felt as though they were burdened. Quite the opposite, they cared for my dog the way I personally would, and for that I owe them the world. It's great to have that peace of mind. Additionally, my dog is an Australian Shepherd, so he's incredibly energetic and quite difficult to tire out. Every day he'd come home happily pooped, and every morning he'd pull his way in to see all of his daycare friends. Our dog was also groomed here on several occasions, and he's challenging to wash and cut (he isn't a fan of baths and he is a giant fluff ball with a lot of fur), and they did an amazing job. Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough, and for me that's rare. There is 1 review on here from years ago claiming her dog caught kennel cough, but Petworks requires you have your dog immunized for kennel cough, so I would take that with a grain of salt. To everyone at Petworks, thank you for the 200+ times you took care of my Yawkey (yes, I sat down and actually did the math). Anyone who's lucky enough to live within close proximity to Petworks, bring your dog here! You won't regret it.
