We have just added another standard to our family and she starts there in the coming weeks. They genuinely ADORE the pets they take such good care of. On this day, I arrived at 8:40 AM with my elderly, blind dog. The door was locked, and I could clearly see the owner inside washing another dog. I rang the bell and then stood outside in the rain waiting, assuming she couldn't hear me. When she finally looked up and saw me, I waved. She responded with a dismissive hand gesture through the glass. She then came to the door and told me I would have to reschedule because I was late. There was no acknowledgment that I had been standing outside waiting, and no consideration for the fact that I was there with an elderly, blind dog in the rain. I understand that businesses need policies and schedules. What I did not expect--after more than a decade of consistent, monthly patronage--was the complete lack of courtesy in how this was handled. If this is how long-time customers are treated over a 10-minute delay, I would recommend others keep that in mind when considering this groomer.
