WOW! One of the coolest coffee shops ever. Located right next door to the Vista Theater, this place truly feels like stepping back in time. The decor is incredibly nostalgic, they even have small old-school TVs inside, the kind with built in VCRs. I felt like I was time traveling the moment I walked in. Service was good, and my latte was solid, not the best I've ever had, but definitely enjoyable. The pastries looked great, and I appreciated that they offer gluten free options as well. Overall, it's just such a cool, unique vibe that's hard to emulate. Even if you're not a huge coffee person, it's worth stopping by for the atmosphere alone. They also sell beer and Rose if you were looking for something else :)
No parking, just street parking. Such a cozy environment. Before even entering the cafe, you can smell the aroma of the coffee luring you in. Even on a rainy day this place is popping. The workers there are so kind and helpful. This place does amazing coffees, matcha on the other hand is alright. I would say if you are craving matcha, go across the street to Handles. They do have seasonal drinks that you must try. I got their signature cookie butter latte and wow. Finished it right away. So good, I can't wait to come again when I'm in the area!
First of all, it is a really cool place, and I was kind of blown away on how cool everything was. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, definitely go. Their prices are fair. I mean, especially now everything's expensive but the coffee is definitely worth it. Also the people that work there are so friendly and nice. It just makes everything come together better. As for the place itself, it's really cool. There's all this memorabilia has that cool 6070 style. They have a bunch of merchandise that you can buy which of course we did when we went. And all in all, just really cool. (sidenote) to the manager/managers,,,, if any of the collectibles/action figures goes on sale, please let me know.....
The nostalgic ambiance is worth the visit alone! If there's ever a place that tastes like the 80's and 90's this would be the joint! A must go if you're watching a movie at THE VISTA not mention Pam's Cafe is the cinefiles café paradise. They also have wine so it's a pleasant touch when a café does both uppers and downers.
This cafe is located right next to the Vista theater. My husband and I decided to stop by after watching a movie. The inside, although small, is packed with so much movie memorabilia. It's also decorated with fun novelty items that are related to movies. Unfortunately, the cafe was closing 10 minutes after we arrived. We weren't able to look and really enjoy the place like we wanted to, but the employees still allowed us to order and sip a bit of our drink before they closed up. I'll definitely be back to try their snacks and bites. They had some seasonal items and Cap'N Crunch cereal (because it's Tarantino's favorite). The drink I ordered was a matcha latte, which was actually pretty good. Definitely visit if you're in the area or just finished a movie at the Vista. It's definitely worth it!
Stopped by Pam's Coffy and went with the butterscotch caramel coffee and a slice of cherry almond pie. The coffee had a really bold, rich flavor--serious gourmet stuff--and the pie was super fresh and delicious, a perfect pairing. The vibe definitely leans into Tarantino fandom, so you'll see plenty of fanboys hanging around, but it adds to the quirky atmosphere. Overall, a cool spot with quality coffee and desserts that hit the mark. Would recommend if you're in the area and want something a little different.
Damn Pam, This some serious gourmet $hit Coffee was phenomenal Service was nice and quick Ambiance was phenomenal, especially as a film lover. (Also saw Jack black)
I absolutely love this coffee shop! It is small in a good way as there is such a great atmosphere: cozy home-like chairs, fun menu options, and awesome staff!! I had been meaning to come here when it first opened and I finally came when I had the chance. I was unsure what to order as their drink options are very unique and customizable! *Add different flavored syrups to your drinks whether you want aromic flowers, fruit, sweet etc. * I ordered an Iced Butterscotch Coffee and requested it to be a little less sweet. I was in love with this drink! I love Butterscotch candy but was worried it might be too sweet as a drink but the lovely cashier with the blue hair reassured me that is their most loved drink. *They do not lid your drink but you can go ahead and do that at the countertop full of cream, sugar, lids, napkins, and stirrers. I would totally make this my go-to drink place if it was closer to me in Burbank! I vote next location should be in Burbank. I will keep coming when I'm in the area. The drinks are delicious and not overhyped at all.
Amazing coffee, service, and food! My fiancé and I tried Pam's Coffy on Pam Grier's birthday, so it was fitting to get a coffee and a birthday cake treat. The coffee is so good, and their treats are amazing! My fiancé likes their brown sugar pie and I love their strawberry pie. Their coffees really hit the spot and they have a nice location right next to the Vista theater. You can bring in your treats and coffee into the theater since they're both owned by Tarantino. This place is a must and my fiancé and I will be going back!
I love coming here because they have different options. Sometimes the big chain coffee shops get boring and this is perfect. Amazing quality coffee and pastries, it hits the spot for an afternoon pick me up or a morning treat. They usually get busy in the morning so I try to come during my afternoon break when it's more calm. The coffee itself is always perfectly made and they also offer different dairy options. The staff is always friendly.
Serious ambiance, evoking 70's nostalgia for any GenXer. Check out the photos, they tell it all. There's a fun VHS viewing vestibule on the side of the shop. I like the fact that they only serve drip coffee here, though enhance-able via a selection of syrups and flavorings. They also host a variety of coffee-shop styled sweets and fun Pam Grier, Coffy merchandise. The staff was very friendly, happy to point out the various attractions - I was torn between the Fonz lunchbox and the John Travolta doll. Lots of comfortable seating, both inside and out.

It was named in honor of Pam Grier and her iconic role in the 1973 blaxplotation film, "Coffy," the coffee shop is attached to The Vista Theatre, owned by Quentin Tarantino. I came early morning to grab a coffee and check out their vibe. From the outside it doesn't juts out because it blends quite well with the theatre bldg. Indoor space was extremely small but the 80's decor and tvs were a good distraction. The coffee shop serves blends, butterscotch, lavender and vanilla flavors. Moreover, they also have baked goods, many of which are vegan or gluten-free. I ordered a hot 12oz Lavender Latte. It was brewed perfectly and tastes great; I really dig their coffee sleeves. Staff and service were amiable and fast, respectively. Seats (outdoor and indoor) look good. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Prices were competitive and economically fair. Street and metered parking available. Overall, I had a good experience and coffee. This will be my go to coffee shop.
Named after Jack Hill's 1973 film Coffy starring Pam Grier, the cafe opened on February 14 following several months of anticipation. The cafe was initially going to be called just Coffy, but after Tarantino connected with Grier, who he directed in Jackie Brown, he decided to further personalize the name. I'm so pleasantly surprised! I was skeptical at first - what does Quentin Tarantino know about coffee? Would it even be quality? Happy to report that this place is SUCH a little gem. Myself and my man got the iced butterscotch caramel & the Jimmy's Vanilla. Both drinks were quality. The iced latte had the perfect espresso to milk to flavor ratio, and the Jimmy's Vanilla had such a lovely aroma and we could tell the coffee was quality. The interior is so retro - the cereal boxes added such a cute ambience, and of course, the Coffy poster on the wall adds to the theme. The service was super fast. The baristas were so lovely and engaging. It's clear that they are so knowledgeable about coffee and are passionate about what they do. Overall, this little gem is worth coming for quality coffee. We definitely will be back time and time again!

Very clever Instagram-able Coffee shop based on Tarantino's love for Pam Grier. Makes seeing a movie at the Vista more personal, creating a stronger sense of a video-geek community. The egg and cheese snacks were a good savory dish to keep me filled for the 3-hour Nolan film. You can watch old VHS movies in a tiny hole-like cavern inside the shop. Cool hang and good for a quick drink and chat with friends, but not enough outlets or big enough to spend hours working there. read more

Very nostalgic, super cool coffee shop! No reason to give it less than 5 stars truly. Prices were pretty comparable for the area and I appreciated their creative menu too! Lots of pops of color and yummy coffee drinks! I had the blueberry vanilla coffee latte and it wasn't too sweet - just perfect. My drink came out quickly and in that time, I got to look around and take it all in! There's a few seating areas inside, nice for a friend date or meet up and I can't wait to come back and maybe enjoy some of the films in the little nook they have as well! You'll have to see it for yourself! read more

was attending a screening at the vista theater and had to swing by this joint coffee shop right in the same building (only accessible from outside the theatre). trying a new coffee place on a trip is an essential, and pam's coffy might've just won the prize this time around. it truly delivered in every aspect of great coffee, great service, and just impeccable vibes inside. i got the brown sugar cinammon latte and my girlfriend got their chai, each were excellent! she is a barista so she knows good coffee, and she praised its smoothness and balance of flavor and espresso. the chai was also great, super flavorful. the cups even come with a fun little wrap showcasing the logo and the back stating "a cup by quentin tarantino." fun stuff of course the coffee shop is based on pam grier's iconic movie Coffy, and there is some excellent post art from that movie on display. this never feels gimmicky, but more a true love letter to cinema that you can really feel tarantino's touch on (which he does own this shop and the vista). if you are a coffee (coffy too, of course) and a movie lover, it's a must stop! especially before catching a movie at the beautiful vista theater next door read more

The Vista Theater holds a very special place in my heart as it's where the hubbs and I had our first date over *cough* 12 *cough* years ago. So I was very relieved to hear that Mr. Tarantino bought the theater to prevent it's inevitable shut down back in 2021. As a bonus to him saving The Vista, he opened Pam's Coffy right next door. Pam's Coffy is an homage to the iconic, Pam Grier, cinema's first action hero and leading lady of the blaxploitation films of the 1970s. It has a very eclectic interior with memorabilia dedicated to Pam as well as a collection of classic cereal boxes and vintage lunch boxes. The vibes sway you into remembering sitting on that shag carpet of your living room getting ready to binge Saturday Morning cartoons. I love a cafe with a theme. I ADORE a cafe with a theme with actual tasty items! I order an iced brown sugar cinnamon latte and a brown sugar pop pie to compliment. I was so happy sitting on their patio, on a beautiful, sunny LA afternoon, woofing down these sugary delights. read more

This spot has a great vibe with friendly staff and a creative, laid-back atmosphere. Though it's small, it's rarely crowded during the week, making it feel like a hidden gem. The only drawback? After sitting inside for over an hour, I overheard nearly 10 people ask to use the bathroom--only to find out it's unavailable unless the theater is open. A restroom option would be a much-needed improvement for an otherwise fantastic experience! CUT TO: BLACK. read more
Coffee is from jones coffee roasters. The only bags I saw being sold were already ground and flavored fyi. Small pastry case and decor style is cluttered but intentional. Smiling and welcoming staff. Located directly next door to the Vista theater. Fun vibes but not for the third wave coffee connoisseur. Street parking. read more

Raspberry Mocha - 5 ! Apple Hand Pie - 5 ! Pam's Coffy Mug "A Cup by Quentin Tarantino" - 5 ! Pam's Coffy is part of the revitalization of The Vista Theater and its new owner, Quentin Tarantino. The Vista was finished and opened a few months ago but it took a bit more time to get Pam's Coffy going. I had been looking forward to the coffee shop inspired by film icon and QT muse Pam Grier since I saw it under construction on my first visit to the Vista. It is a fun, creative place to wait for a movie or to gather and chat about a movie after a screening, or just to sit and have fun. The vibe is eclectic and full of film inspired Easter eggs. I was there for about 15 minutes and I tried to catch all the quirky stuff. I guarantee I missed some details! It will be fun to go back and see what else I can spot. I have to admit, I went the first chance I could get, specifically to grab one of the first generation Pam's Coffy coffee mugs. I was worried they'd sell out and I didn't want to miss out. It is one of the coolest things I have ever bought! I am kind of scared to use it for coffee so I set it up on my writing desk. Someday I'll have a coffee or other celebratory drink in it but I'm saving it for a special occasion. I had their raspberry mocha. The flavors were light and nice, not overly sweet or strong, which is what I like. I also tried out an apple hand pie. A fun idea they have for their menu is a rotating list of cereals and milks. I don't eat a lot of cereal but I saw another guest with one and the bowl they served was quite generous. Los Feliz has a high concentration of coffee shops but Pam's Coffy certainly hits the right kind of notes for me. I might bring my laptop one of these days when they slow down after the buzz and see what it's like to have a writing session. Parking is available on the streets close by and should be no problem for most people but if you are there for a movie and a coffee, check the signs before you park. read more

This is a tiny cafe by Quentin Tarantino that is paying tribute to Pam Grier and is located next to the Vista theater since he owns it. The coffee served here is Jones coffee and the drinks are themed after the flavors they contain. The place is small itself but does include indoor and outdoor seating. The barista was very helpful in describing the drinks and pastries. I settled on a butterscotch drip coffee and a vegan lemon poppy muffin. The coffee was good as well as the muffin. I'm knocking off a star due to the fact that the tops for the cups didn't really fit well and when I got my coffee it was about 3/4 full since they left room for cream (still think they should have given a bit more coffee). read more

I was so excited for this coffee spot to open! I love Tarantino's work so I was looking forward to see what he would do with this shop and I was not disappointed. I loved all the details, the Pam Grier statue in the VHS viewing room, the posters, the cereal bar, the dolls on the ledge of the window! The baristas were so friendly and kind, I bought an iced brown sugar cinnamon latte with whole milk. It was refreshing. I also got a sticker and just looked around. It wasn't busy, we went mid week in the middle of the day. I will say, parking was hard to find but we found metered parking in front of Tiki Ti and walked over. I don't know that I would be back again but it's definitely a cool spot for fans to check out. read more

Stopped in with my partners before an early screening at the Vista. Since it was morning, we got some coffee, a slice of pumpkin bread, and a slice of their special cake for the day - a "Mr. Orange" orange creamsicle cake. It was all so good! I love that they also have homemade pop tarts and you can get a bowl of cereal. The space is super cute and our barista was so friendly! I'll definitely be back. read more
Pam's after my botched blood lab... The nurse @ my clinic around the corner, another missed field goal. It's tiny, feels like my apartment split into three sections. It's packed with all the 70,s stuff for kids to live the 70s...To be honest as a old vieja , It wasn't that meaningful or memorable...but I love Pam. She's 10 yrs my senior & still going....even w/ the cancer. The coffee is smooth & bold ,ok alot of good coffee places around here... We're in silver lake....The FAIL of pastry '24 has to be this hockey puck representing A Bacon biscuit.... Wendy's Jr's have a edible Biscuit this was really baad .I wonder if Sr.. Tarantino tried it? Someone on the staff should know..... read more

I decided to try this place. It was a close walk to where I was staying, so I can't attest to parking. The ambience in the store was so awesome, it's like hopping in a Time Machine. There were various older cereals brands, action figures, collectible items to view as decor. A nice little old vcr tv that plays different movies. Service was quick, I did let them know it was our first time, but no one offered any recommendations, which is fine we enjoyed what we picked out. The coffee was so amazing, I've been to Starbucks and other places searching for a great tasing horchata latte and this place has it! The butterscotch Carmel latte was also perfectly sweet and balanced with the coffee. I have to know how they make that blueberry flavor because it was so good and the flavor was immaculate in the vanilla blueberry coffee. I'll definitely be going here often. I was excited to try some pastries but nothing caught my eye like in other reviews. Overall I'd recommend on the ambience and coffee alone. read more
