Pork belly burrito
Erica W.

Pork belly burrito is a MUST! Perfectly cooked pork belly, not too tough and not too fatty. The salsa was pretty unique, not like other Mexican restaurants in the area, and it was a really nice flavor. The sauces were really good! I loved the chipotle and the hot honey one!! My husband loved the verde!! I had the Al pastor tacos which were great with the pineapple and fresh cilantro and onion. I only wish the pork was a little more juicy and flavorful but the sauces definitely helped! The inside of the restaurant is really cute and trendy. We ate outside and the patio is great but be ready for a little traffic noise from Federal Highway. Staff was fantastic, super friendly, and fairly quick! We met Carlos, the owner, who was really helpful and wanted to make sure our experience was perfect!

Revisited after reading wonderful reviews. The food was good, however, the general consensus was that the food was overpriced for the portion sizes that you get compared to other areas. My husband at the beer tacos, our child had the cheese quesadilla and I had chicken fajitas. Luckily my chicken fajitas was quite large so I was able to share with my husband who was left hungry after his main dish which was brought out was very small. I had the chicken and steak fajitas, unfortunately it was mostly chicken with only a few pieces of steak. I expected it to be closer to half and half. The vegetables were nicely grilled, and the size which came with it were tasty. My husband was disappointed with his birra tacos, not only was a small person, but he also said it sat in the middle and was not the better ones of what he has had in the past elsewhere. Our child's quesadilla was eight dollars for a cheese quesadilla and this was quite small. At least a small side could be offered for the price. The most difficult thing about this restaurant and why most likely will not return was the service although the restaurant was mostly empty. It was very hard to get any help from the server. We had to ask for the bill multiple times. Perhaps it's just growing pains of a new establishment and this will get better though. The ambience was nice, you can see that they're in the process of decorating and adding more foliage to the outside. The outside tables were decorated with beautiful bouquets of roses- very elegant!

This dining experience was a welcomed surprise for dinner on Saturday night. No reservation but the restaurant was pretty busy so my husband and I sat at the bar where we met a very nice bartender. The drinks were good, but nothing complicated. We had been one other time to dine here when they had just opened and we were very disappointed but felt it was new restaurant pains and needed to give it another chance. So glad we did because the shredded beef burrito was delicious and very generous in size. The steak and chicken fajitas with homemade corn tortillas was excellent. We even noticed that the complimentary chips and salsa were so much better than the first visit. I really feel like they changed things up in the kitchen and now we are huge fans of this place. Service was friendly and attentive from the server to the food runners. Even the kitchen did great by having both meals served at the same time. We had a nice short conversation with the owner/manage and we were sure to tell him how impressed we were by all the improvements. If you had tried this restaurant in the early days of being open and you haven't been back, please come and try them again, because this was really a wonderful meal. Parking is street side or in the apartment garage which is all complimentary.

Chicharrón ceviche

This is a new place in boynton, and a very nice ambiance. The food is ok we ordered the chicharrón ceviche and it was pretty good. For the entree I ordered the tacos one al pastor and one carne asada. I have to say they were both very bland and lack luster didn't have any flavor at all. The sangria and drink on the other hand were fantastic I'd definitely give it a second try, but I'd stay away from the tacos, and try something else.

Azul Maya

Great service- bilingual staff was on point, cozy environment, live music, manager helped staff as needed due to volume of customers, the bartender had a nice pour, and even though the wait was longer than usual for the shrimp quesadillas, it was worth the wait.

Fajitas (Steak and Chicken)

The food was decent and the service was very friendly. Nothing was mind blowing but it was a very good alternative to going downtown Delray on a Friday night.

Loved the food. Great vibes all around. Service with a smile. Enchiladas are a must to tryout. Sunday brunch was one for the books!

Food is so fresh, full of great tastes, service made us feel like we were the only customers in the restaurant, and the ambience is warm with cool drinks and the music is complimentary freshness of the food.

Five words. Absolute hole in the wall. From walking inside; to the experience itself. It's insane…read moremore people aren't talking about it! I had no expectations. My friend told me their burger was a hit, so I came to see it for myself. John was taking care of me and my friend at the bar. The cocktail menu is a real pleasure to read through from a tequila forward bar to frozen drinks there's not a single cocktail that looks just thrown on there. In honor of Cowboy Bebop I first tried the Space Cowboy, which is kinda what it sounds like; out of this world. Passion fruit, Mezcal with a subtle note of spice added from the Dijon in the drink. They chill it to perfect point of being a frozen drink which added some fun into their caliber. Balanced and yet bold. Bar top looked fun n deco. Believe it or not; it's a chill cafe during the day and a disco ball experience at night. From sun up to sun down there goal is to make it a great hangout for locals and anyone who wanders in. To start off I got the Foie Gras and grilled baby bok choy which both were done so well. The Foie Gras, on top of the presentation, danced on my tongue with a subtle Smoke flavor given from their wood fire grill and a nice nuttiness from the peanut whip they paired it with. The pork belly bok choy had a perfect crunch from the green, and the pork belly just came in like big brother and added a dynamic of softness from the fat that you just can't beat. I landed on choosing their blood orange & ginger mocktail while I waited for my burger. Ginger candy cold foam was phenomenal. Unexpected 10/10. The burger though I'd say was a nice cherry on top that needed no introduction. My friend certainly delivered on a good burger joint. Wonderful sauce and beautiful char. Lastly I had the cookies n cream which is made fresh to order. Biscoff butter ice cream and cc cookie was certainly the best way to end off this evening. The goal of course with any menu is to not be a gloater but a shower and they have certainly done just that. You'll never know by outside looks alone until you try it but this place is a wallflower and an amazing time. Good job to the kitchen staff there and excellent job to whoever designed this experience. You made somebody's night.

It's like sitting next to a warming fire. This time we tried the grilled asparagus, the grilled baby bok choy with pork belly and gorgonzola (our favorite), the luncheonette burger with crispy fries, the double cut pork chop with grilled cabbage and pickled mustard seed, and the waygu lamb (I know, a lot of food!). Everything was fantastic but the burger initially came out a bit undercooked (we ordered it medium) so they cooked it a bit more and quickly brought it back. I thought the lamb wagyu was a bit light on the meat, the pork chop was amble and laid out nicely on the plate. We also tried the watermelon tequila drink (very refreshing and not too sweet), an old fashioned, and they have a good list of wines. We love the big cube in cocktails. I don't know how they got them to be so clear. The bar tender was great and the cooks were working very hard. The owner always comes by to say hello and chat. Second Rodeo varies the menu.

They have a really nice outdoor seating area, complete with heaters when needed. We chose to dine inside. The vibe inside the restaurant was kind of a boho rustic feel, and I really liked it. Soft lighting and music really set the tone. We were immediately greeted by our server, Gustavo, and given our menus. We don't drink, but they had a nice selection of drinks, cocktails and spirits. We decided to start with the sweet and sour cauliflower. It was absolutely delicious! Cauliflower battered and fried and tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. For our entree we shared the 44oz Creekstone ribeye. It was served with charred broccolini and and a fried airy potato side dish that was out of this world! The steak came sliced and off the bone, so it was perfect for sharing. It was served with 3 toppings; a horseradish sauce, a balsamic glaze, and delicious mixture of sliced peppers. Our steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. We did not have dessert there, as we had a birthday cake at home. And I feel remiss that I didn't even look to see what they had. Overall, it was the perfect place to have a romantic, celebratory dinner! Thanks Driftwood. *Just a Note ~ I found it odd they added a 20% tip on a 2 top table, and I was glad I noticed it on the bill before we double tipped.

Upscale vibe with dim lighting. - plenty of parking A few I didn't.. - The fish dip was just ok - the fried part of the southern fried chicken while juicy on the inside, lacked flavor - the up charge for almond vanilla milk in the espresso martini without being told up front of the added cost -the steak tartare happy hour portion is 1 bite-sized piece. Just offer the normal sized portion for a reduced happy hour price as opposed to 1/4th the portion for 1/3rd the price. Overall I would say every experience is good but not great. The roaring fire added ambience; it doesn't happen often in south Florida but on this "frigid" night the fire was really needed. We started at the bar with a few drinks including the Dr. No, and then moved to our table, we didn't feel rushed at all, it was Saturday night, 8:30 pm and the restaurant was quite full. I always get the wedge salad and I especially like NM's version with avocado and a thick, creamy blue cheese dressing (but not overpowering everything else). Also, their empanadas are renown and we love their chimichurri sauce. I highly recommend them. We also tried the daily pasta which was good. For mains, we really went for it with the 16 oz Ribeye, quite a large serving that we didn't finish and took home with us (see picture). The steak was pretty straight up - just a well-cooked delicious piece of meat. I had heard people rave about the veal chop so I decided to try it and was happy I did; also a rather large piece of meat (bone-in) with melted cheese and a light sauce - probably one of the best veal chops I've had (which we also took home with us). Nicholson Muir does great sides - we got the creamed spinach which was not overly creamy and the truffle fries, thin-style with a nice crunch. For dessert, the bread pudding (with a birthday candle) was very good - the ice cream portion was gone in split seconds. Excellent service with our main server and other servers attending to us making sure everything was great and delicious.

The strawberry lemonade was 80% water, stick with the hangover cure. The hangover cure was very refreshing. The servers split the tips so they were all pretty helpful and attentive. Probably a good spot for cocktails but I went with my grandma so virgin drinks were the way to go. All in all I'd be back for a cocktail and the fries. The food is also pretty pricey. $11 French fries, $9 for a non-alcoholic beverage. Also when I went, the menu was limited. They weren't serving any of the 'Shareables'.
