They really should check sound system in the afternoon, not when customers are seating & waiting. They're arrogant & don't really let the customers have fun dancing! We had tried this spot about a year ago for breakfast and tried a soup also around the same time and weren't impressed at all. We decided to give them a try again for lunch pick up and are so glad we did! We ordered pollo empanizado and lomo empanizado and me and my husband both got the con griz/moro. As Cubans raised on authentic home made food who also were raised in Miami, they have definitely impressed us. The rice wasn't mushy and tasted authentic Cuban style and the breaded pork and breaded chicken had so much flavor. The yuca frita with the sauce was so good as well. They also serve a lot! I don't know if they got a new chef or are under new management but whatever they did, worked. Sabor Latino has good food, but the service definitely needs improvement. Unfortunately, the wait staff seems to focus more on larger tables while smaller parties are often overlooked. Our experience was disappointing when it came to service and attentiveness. Although the food was enjoyable, the lack of attention from the staff took away from the overall dining experience. I've been going to their Taco Tuesday's, and they are really a great deal. $3 tacos. Choice of steak, pork, or chicken. Soft or crunchy tortilla. All are very good and very fat and stuffed. 3 makes a very hearty meal. My friend has ordered lentil soup and enjoyed it, but they don't seem to know that the soup should come out first. They bring it with the tacos. Once they forgot it altogether. I'd say let them know you want your soup/appetizer first, if ordering. Also went there for breakfast one morning. Honestly, I went because the menu says their breakfast egg sandwich comes on a Kaiser roll, with cheese and bacon, and a side of home fries. I'm from NYC where that is the go-to take-out breakfast (you put the home fries right on the sandwich). So I was pretty excited. But I was told that they were "out of hamburger buns" so should prefer sliced white bread, or a hoagie roll. Well, none of those was what I wanted, or why I went there, but ok, I was already sitting there, so I got my egg sandwich on a hoagie roll. It was fine. I ate the home fries just on the side. Went here for dinner and it was amazing. We ended up sitting to the bar bc they had a live band inside and it was pretty loud. Our servers were super nice and made sure we were taken care of. We had the chicken empanadas as a starter and they were fresh and delicious 8.4/10 I then had the ribeye with roasted potatoes & veggies. It was perfect, especially being medium well. 9/10 My husband had a beef & steak burrito. It was definitely full of meat for the price. I was in the plaza where Sabor Latino is getting a hair cut, and my parents were in the mood for Colombian food. I've been hearing good things about this restaurant so we decided we would stop and try it out. I'm so glad we did! The outside of the restaurant has a full bar and it was completely empty. There's also a really large interior with another full bar and a stage (I asked, and they apparently have a nightclub feel after 1am on the weekends ) The restaurant was very quiet, and I was glad since it is such a large location I expected that it may be busy and I was glad it wasn't even though it was the middle of lunch hour on a Saturday. We were quickly seated and the server was very kind and offered us drinks right away. We ended up ordering quite a few different things, and I was pleased with not only the large portions, but also how much flavor was injected in everything we had! The menu is quite extensive, you have all sorts of Latin food options, drinks, etc. great music too while you're enjoying your food, and overall a really good ambiance. We came on a Thursday night for dinner and had no idea it was karaoke night! There was a DJ initially playing some music and then it turned into a great karaoke. Patio lights, lively music, and happy people seem to be the constant vibe. My husband and I decided we had to get in on the fun, so we came here for a date night. My neighbors took me out for my birthday, so here we are, we did not have reservations so they sat us in the back by the door that goes to the out door seating. The service was incredible, I dont know how this waitress handled herself so well with the awfully rude complainers that were sitting by us! Back to the food, it was tasty, hot and well presented. Welcoming factor left a lot to be desired. Ambiance was quiet, clean, and there was occupancy of one other table. Food was good. Wait staff left a lot to be desired, As well as the manager ,that visited our table as we sat looking for our waitress. I did mention to him about the service ,and we felt they were not attentive in a timely matter. We then asked for the choices in dessert and placed our order with him. Great local spot that deserves more recognition! I've been coming here since they opened and just recently went back for happy hour. They 2 for 1 specials from 4-6pm and the drinks are really well made. They have outside seating as well as inside seating for large parties. The staff is friendly and as stated before, everything from their food to the drinks are well made. We tried chicken nachos and they were amazing. I personally am so happy that Sabor Latino is in this plaza! It brings some flavor in. This restaurant is very spacious. They have a stage inside too which is cool. Outdoors, they have a full bar and seating. I have dined here lunch and dinner. They seem to have different menus. My last visit here they provided me a menu and when I didn't see Lomo Saltado on the menu, I asked and they gave me a more extensive menu. Some of my favorite things to get here are the ceviche, lomo saltado, and churrasco steak. I also enjoy their flan dessert. They carry different types of beans which is nice! They also have large portions that are shareable. Service here is tough. I'm not sure if it's because of how big the restaurant is, but it's hard to get someone over to our table each time I dine. First the good things... *It has spacious indoor and outdoor seating *It has a large delicious sounding menu, and a full bar. Sadly, from there this review goes downhill. There was nobody at the restaurant beside my friend and I. It took someone 10 minutes to greet us, and 48 minutes for a food to come out. He had a chicken quesadilla, and I had carne asada. His quesadilla was well stuffed, and he said very delicious. My carne asada was ordered medium rare to medium, and came out shoe leather well done. I sent it back and asked for it again which took another 10 minutes, and again it came back well done. My friend and I sat outside, and in South Florida it tends to get very warm. She never refilled our drinks no matter how much we asked. I asked three times for the chimichurri sauce that I finally got towards the end of the second well done steak. Then our waitress tried to charge me for the dinner portion of carne asada when I had clearly told her that I ordered the lunch portion, which was $10 cheaper. (Personally, I didn't think I should have had to pay for it at all, I brought it home and fed it to my dog) Honestly, this place left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, I do not think I'll ever go back. I have been here two times and I like the restaurant, even though my second visit didn't go as planned, I will definitely return. The atmosphere is great, no doubt about it. Soft lighting and upbeat music creates a welcoming vibe, not to mention the outside bar is really nice too in addition to being pet friendly. The decor is modern yet warm and inviting. The service on my 1st visit was slow but the server was a sweet girl and she was trying, so it's all good. On my 2nd visit the server was lots of fun and she did her job and she did it well. The beef empanadas were delicious! Three per order and they were stuffed. The dipping sauce was a very good green salsa that wasn't overly spicy but it had a little kick to it which I liked. I tried the flan and it was yummy. The caramel topping was perfect and it wasn't overly sweet which I loved. I met the owner and he was wonderful, a true gentleman. I really enjoyed speaking with him. The staff here is so welcoming, it would be very hard not to like them. Like I said, my 2nd visit didn't go as planned and I didn't even care because the staff is pretty great. I am looking forward to going back and trying the fajitas and I am curious about the chicken empanadas too. Prices are reasonable, the food is good but the owner and his team is what persuaded me to make this a 4 star review. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in addition to their weekend brunch. I know there is live music and dancing on some nights so check with them about the entertainment and I think they might have a calendar on their website. They appear to be short staffed like every other place so have some patience when you go. They are working hard to make things right. My suggestion is to sit down, enjoy the music and just relax. If you have to wait a few extra minutes-let it go; if you don't have a few extra minutes then don't go. I think you should go because it's worth it, in my opinion anyway. read more

Nice outdoor seating area with a large, long bar. Stopped in later on a Sunday night and I was surprised how many people were there - this was the foreshadowing of the experience! I was happy my husband and I decided to stop in for a quick drink and snack. They have a large menu selection. We stuck with appetizers and small plates. The beef empanadas were fully stuffed and deep fried to a golden goodness. They came with some sort of green salsa that was a delicious dip. Next we're the slow roasted shredded pork tacos. The pork was so moist and tender. Lastly, we had the chorizo arepa. This plate was good but it was kind of an odd plate arrangement. It was a full chorizo link and then 4 small arepa bites. Both were great tasting and the plate was a great price. Just seemed like it was missing, maybe a garnish, or a sauce or diced up chorizo may have seemed a little more fitting? It was my first time here and it was a great experience. I sat outside at a high top near the bar. The server appeared right away and continued to be attentive throughout the night. The ambiance was nice both inside and outside the restaurant. There were live entertainment throughout the night inside, people were able to get up and dance and enjoy themselves, although I didn't personally, it was nice to watch people enjoy themselves. I had two margaritas and they were perfect. The amount of calamari received was not much but they were good. I've never had ceviche but I tried it there, not sure what I was expecting but it was very light and refreshing. We came here on a whim last Friday night around 7. They were pretty busy outdoors but the inside dining room was empty. Despite how busy they were, we were able to get a table outside right away. The employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful. 5 stars for the service, they were great. They were busy and sometimes it took a little while for our waitress to come back, but that's not a problem, it only gave us extra time together. We ordered some cocktails and they were delicious. Great presentation and great flavor. They weren't super high octane, but we're enjoyable to drink. We also ordered an appetizer, which came out quickly, and then some entrees to go. My only criticism are the folding chairs they have at the outdoor tables. I mean, it's great that they're so busy they probably needed more tables and chairs than they might have initially thought when setting up the restaurant, but they need to order some better, more "permanent" chairs than the plastic folding ones they currently have. It is much easier to drop fifty bucks on cocktails when you're not sitting on a folding chair. But based on the fare and service, we'd happily return. And the chimichurri sauce is deliciously complex. read more

I could just imagine if anyone has to run in case of any emergency!!!! The bathroom were not clean at all. It needs more soap and a nice perfume so the restroom could smell nice. When a friend and I arrived for a few glasses of wine and possible appetizer on a Friday evening there were plenty of seats at the outside bar but it was way too hot to consider that option. Inside the bar was a bit busier and the way that people had sat themselves made it not inviting to go to the bar which was fine since we had wanted to spend some time catching up. The inside is large and the decor is a bit confusing...I don't know if the owners want a restaurant or a nightclub feel but it was just odd. We had to search out someone to seat us then 12 minutes later we needed to go find someone to wait on us. Once we had a waiter I will say he was the best part of the visit....he was wonderful, friendly, and attentive. We shared a bottle of wine which was priced appropriately but they placed the bottle inside of a plastic light up bottle chiller that I know is sold at TJ Maxx because I bought one as a gag gift last Christmas. This bucket has no insulation therefore 20 minutes into an our visit a puddle of water formed on the table. Wanting to try the food we settled on carne asada tacos. The wrong tacos came to the table (in fact 3 additional times people attempted to bring us food we did not order). When we received the correct items the carne asada was more like pot roast....it did not taste grilled but more like steamed meat. The corn tortilla was tasty and the salsa was almost very good but was missing salt and spice. I would not bother coming back to this location and I hope our waiter knows how talented he is for whatever his next steps will be. read more

I had the paella, I asked the waiter how many ounces is the lobster tail, I was thinking of adding it for an extra 15.00. He responded by pointing at the bread plate and said that size. It's about 3 1/2 oz. The rice was very flavorful but the seafood was a bit over cooked. Wouldn't recommend it. My wife had the wedge salad with grilled chicken and loved it.
