I tried giving this dealership 2 opportunities. Both times, I was deeply disappointed. The first experience June 2024- We were in the market for a medium size suv. We were looking for a telluride. We came to the dealerships a couple of times to make sure that the suv was the right fit for my family. I just needed to make sure it had enough space in the trunk, I asked for a measuring tape to compare between cars. He responded by letting me know they would take care of me next time I came[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Fast forward 6 months. Wife had an accident and was hit by a ram 2500 totally my the car. Thankfully she made a good recovery. We were looking for another telluride or a minivan. I received a very enticing deal from another reputable and desirable brand and dealership. It was for a mid trim minivan. I wanted to try the 2025 Kia carnival at a comparable trim level. Second experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called beforehand, letting them know what I wanted and the deal in writing I had from the other dealership, and if they could match it , I would be willing to do business with them. They assured me that they could[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I took the whole family to try the carnival for my family, it had a lot of lights and gizmos, all the extra luxuries were appealing. From the very beginning of when I arrived at the dealership, they said they could match the deal. After 30 mins of looking at the car and an hour of them making us wait to work out a deal, they priced the car and deal $200 more than written deal from the other dealership. I was disappointed to say the least, I just literally drove across the street and signed the deal half an hour later. They missed 2 sales from me and I've directed 4 friend to other dealerships and avoid them at all costs. An hour later, a Kia dealership from LA called me to tell me they had sent a written quote to match the same price. I came here for a motor replacement (under warranty). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Edwin, the service advisor, told me I needed to replace my wiring harness and coolant hoses.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]To say the least, my car was in the shop for over a month with no communication from Edwin.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We would call and leave voicemails but he never received any.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] During this time they replaced my ECU twice. When I finally got my car, he told me to let my battery charge on the drive home because it was off for a while... However, the battery was dead and I had to buy a new one. My alignment was also off, I was missing a car play device from my car, and had a coolant leak. I brought the car in again the following Monday. Where they proceeded to claim that the leak was not from a hose they replaced. Not even a week later my check engine came on, a misfire on cylinder 3. I took it to a trusted mechanic where he tested my coils and found that was the issue. We did the repair as it seemed to be maintenance. Two weeks later my check engine came back on with the same code. This time my fuel injector on cylinder 3 was clogged. Two days later, the same code. This time we could not find the problem since everything mechanically was good. Little did we know that the "repair" Kia did was the issue. My cables going into cylinder 3 were burnt... Update: So I won't buy a car here. See previous. They are the only Kia dealership in town. So I take my Niro there on 7/16/24 because it has a check engine light on. First off it will be $220 to diagnose it, warranty or not. They say the code it was throwing was related to the recall that was done on it earlier in the year. I call the service advisor on 7/17 and she says they need to run some more tests and are in touch with manufacturer to see if it is recall related. Okay, cool, so far. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Call again 7/18 and 7/19 no updates. Service advisor calls me at the end of the day on 7/19 and states that the hydraulic clutch and transmission are bad.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She also says that it isn't covered under Kia's warranty and that it will be a customer pay (looking at the Kia app, my car hasn't been touched since 830 AM that day). I must have misunderstood what a power train warranty was. I informed the advisor that I have an extended warranty just in case this were to happen as well a stand alone warranty from the dealer I bought it from. The service advisor says "oh well I need the tech to make a list of parts and expenses and send them in to see if they will cover it". [[HIGHLIGHT]]She says she will call me back the next day and hurries to get off the phone after I state unequivocally I will not be paying for that. I'm sharing this review as a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT to the people of Palmdale and Lancaster. Listen carefully! I have purchased 3 KIAs from this dealership and had them all serviced their over the last 10 years. One of my current vehicles is a 2020 KIA Sportage is still under warranty. I thought I needed freon as my air conditioning stopped working. They said it would cost $220 to look at, but it will be credited towards repair. I didn't think nothing of it as I knew it was under warranty. I'm guilty of not listening well enough to what the service rep told me...I think she said I had to pay that fee if I didn't use them or if the repair wasn't under warranty...but, tbh...I didn't fully understand what she said, it was a bit confusing. I had come to find out that to repair it was almost just about $1,800 as they said I needed a new air condition "condenser" because their was a hole in mine...and of course, that's not covered under the warranty. She told me the condenser was $800+ I thought, wow...seems a lot, then, later I find out it was actually $1,800 dollars as she didn't include freon and labor with initial price quote! WT-?! Like anyone who doesn't have a money tree, I sat down in the other room, pulled out my iPhone and made a couple calls and found 2 other auto repair facilities. One charged $1,200 and one $900...that was with the parts, labor, and yes...the freon. Of course, I choose to go to the repair shop that that charged $900 vs $1,800. KIA's quote was literally 50% - 100% MORE THAN COMPETITORS IN THE MARKETPLACE! Worse yet...I had to pay them $220 for not getting my car repaired there! But listen people of Palmdale and Lancaster who own KIAs: 1) Costs seem to be 50% - 100% more than conventional auto repair shops. 2) EVEN IF your car IS UNDER WARRANTY, you will have to pay $220 JUST TO DIAGNOSE your car IF you choose to go somewhere else. Conclusion: -If your car is NOT under warranty, you may strongly want to take it to another auto repair shop as the costs are WAY higher. -If you're car IS under warranty, you STILL may want to go to another auto repair shop as you will pay $220 JUST TO DIAGNOSE your car...unless you agree to pay their exorbitant prices...and why would you do that? -The ONLY reason to bring your KIA is is if you KNOW with 100% certainty your car repair is under warranty would I bring in for repair. Whoever is in charge of their pricing and customer service operating procedures has no clue how to "make friends and influence people" in their community...why in TF would you do this to your clients?! It's not like people don't have access to SM to warn others or their is no competition...especially for clients that bought their $100,000s in cars over the years there and have always been loyal to use only their repair shop for the last upteen years! I went to buy a car here and they told me the minimum they could do was an extra $2000 which included etching the VIN number in the engine, $1000 for ceramic coating, add nitrous in the tires. I was having issues with my voicemail. The lady that called me wasn't able to leave a message. She only called me one time. She could not he bothered to call again in an 8 hour shift. Customer beware this place is way expensive over charging customers for a diagnostics $220 for them to tell me that I need two new sensors for a total of $980 I got both upper and Lower at O'Reillys for $341.00. I had a recall on my Kia Optima. Bad engine. They replaced with a new engine and messed up my O2 sensor then found a loophole new ownership. They're not responsible somehow. Don't go to this place. The service manager, Joe, is an arrogant, ignorant, hot-headed, and lying snake. They damaged my tire, and he refused to take responsibility or replace it. Joe blamed the towing company, but the owner had multiple photos proving the tire wasn't flat. I had to ask for the general manager, who decided to replace my tire. Joe the manager said he wasn't afraid of anyone he got upset cause i was able to get a brand new tire and took it personal against me haha relax ignorantold man. He even had the nerve to tell me not to call or show up at the dealership in front of the general manager he just took his side and didn't say nothing that's why the works do whatever they want all because he wouldn't give me an Eta on my tire. Joe doesn't deserve this job and should be fired you dont treat customers badly terrible customer service! I had to drive on my spare tire for a week thats dangerous with 5 little kids! They need new magement asap. The service representative assisting me, Edwin, is an idiot, he didn't even add to the work order like i stated i a large vacuum leak and the mechanic, Anthony, tried to take money on the side by giving me his personal number. They just steal your money and dont fix what they have to fix.The mechanics are not certified that's why they damage engineparts, loose bolts or damage tires, body paint on vehicles! The customer service is terrible, and they do nothing but lie and make mistakes. All service advisors especially Edwin Castro have no knowledge about vehicles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]NOT having a LOANER option shows a lack of customer care and understanding, especially when repairs take longer than expected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely not be taking my car back to Palmdale KIA and i will be going to KIA of Valencia for all my service due to them having loaner vehicles available. Below is the reason why: Friday: I scheduled my 2020 Kia Optima in for an oil change. When i got it back, the check engine light had come on (P073E) and my car would not move when i put it in reverse. Mind you this could have been a completely random occurrence, which i don't doubt but it did seem a little odd. So [[HIGHLIGHT]]i called them back and told them about the issue and they said they were closing for the day and to bring it in at 0930 the next morning. I politely asked what time they open and would like an appointment for 0800, which they obliged.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Saturday: I take the car in and explain what happened to the service advisor and she said typically they don't do diagnostics on weekends but they will look at it. OK Cool. I asked about how long and if i would be able to get a loaner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]THEY DO NOT OFFER A LOANER and they would get to it when they can. However they do offer an UBER service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now i brought up the fact that i have the KIA Distinction Platinum Plan and that it does cover a rental and was told i would have to call them to verify that its covered. They would have to call and verify that the part is covered (understandable) and if it is then i would be able to get the rental. I called the number on the bottom of the warranty paperwork and its based in Florida only open M-F 8am-5pm. When i called Saturday morning at 0825 there was no answer and they automation hung up. I walked to other dealerships to kill time and when i return she explains to me that it is a transmission indicator switch and that they would still need to call to ensure its covered. Sunday: closed [[HIGHLIGHT]]Monday: I called at 0906 and was told that i would get a call back due to my advisor not being in yet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At 0911 I call the warranty company ( Fidelity Warranty Services) and was informed that there is no claim in and that they would need a claim submitted in order to look into it. I called back at 1155 and spoke with my advisor and she said that it is covered and the part is ordered and should be here Thursday. 1210 i call the warranty people back about getting a rental and they told me i am covered while the car is IN SERVICE and DURUING an INSPECTION, not while its awaiting parts. So now i wait...... Wednesday: i call at 0645 to get a status update and my service advisor out and i was told that i would get a call back. No call. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I call at 1356 and am put on hold for ten minutes. The other service advisors cant get me an update because the techs are at lunch even though i called at 1045 for an update.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked to speak to the manager and am told he is in a meeting. Of course he is. The part has come in and they are waiting on my service advisor and tech to start working on it. Meanwhile i still dont have a car for the inconvenience because they havent updated my claim to reflect so i can get the loaner which is covered under the KIA Distinction Warranty. Thursday: the part was installed and tested but Didn't work. Now they have to get into the transmission and requires a KIA approval because it affects the drivetrain/powertrain. Wont know about a rental until next week. Still CARLESS. Service manager called and said they have submitted all their paperwork to KIA and they are awaiting authorization. I went to Kia about 2 weeks ago looking to trade in my older soul for a newer car and the entire staff from management to Donna the numbers lady ( lol) were absolutely amazing . They worked hard and tirelessly to get us approved. well they did it . They seemed sincere as well. Ophelia our sales girl was the absolute best . No pressure like hanging out with your friend for the afternoon. I know their job is to sell cars however they are very relaxed and easy going . I absolutely recommend Palmdale KIA. read more

Caveat emptor. it's very important that a business be transparent about its diagnosis fees, especially when your car is still covered under a warranty. I've read several reviews here that confirm my suspicions about the lack of business ethics, and proper disclosures that this dealership is guilty of. When I attempted to bring my car here, I was never told of the diagnosis fee, and they attempted to claim that my issues were not warranty related. Fortunate that I was able to extricate myself without paying any penalties and I look forward to my day in court against this disreputable business.. read more

UPDATE: manager Joe's prediction was wrong AND the air conditioning problem we were having was actually his service department's fault! Isn't that ironic? Avoid this dealership. Full story... When Kia Palmdale replaced the engine in my car nearly a year prior, they did not fasten a part properly. Many things were removed to do the engine replacement, and whatever this part was, it eventually came loose and punctured an a/c hose. This drained all the Freon and, in the burning heat of the Antelope Valley, we were suddenly without a/c. Per my original review, Kia Palmdale allowed me to schedule service on its web site to fix this a/c problem. There was no warning on the site that the car would not be seen when I brought it in. I was informed upon arrival that it would be seen within a WEEK. I had driven an hour to the dealership to find this out. Manager Joe made no apologies for this and said he would NOT be updating the web site to warn people about the 1 week backup - even though I had driven an hour to his dealership because he had an appointment sooner than Hello Kia of Valencia. The best part: he guaranteed me that Hello Kia of Valencia would not look at the car same day either. Wrong... Hello Kia of Valencia told me they WOULD look at the car same day. And this is exactly what they did. They ordered a part that day and all is good. I know that something can go wrong at any business. In this case, it's not that something went wrong due to a mistake or misunderstanding. The service manager at this dealership is purposely taking service reservations knowing that he can't service cars for a week. He's not apologetic nor clear about this. He's happy knowing that there is demand, it's backed up, and business is good. Take a number and get in line... This is not good for you, the consumer. Paid for a oil change and tire rotation for the first time at a dealership . Didnt even rotate the tires .Now unsure if they did a complimentary multi point inspection or not. Could be driving a deathtrap and wouldnt even know it Advisor was nice enough read more

Finally got around to buying a new car, checked literally every single dealer in the area and JC and his managers spent all day really working to get me to where I needed to get with a 2023 Forte. It's GORGEOUS and we got a good deal, I'm super grateful for all their help. Kia's are the way to go! read more

Took vehicle in because it won't start intermittently. They relied ONLY on their diagnostic tool to troubleshoot, but unfortunately the vehicle started each time. I got the vehicle back and a week later it won't start. What happened to telling a mechanic the issue and troubleshooting from a mechanical occupational standpoint? Why do we need for a diagnostic to fail to get work done on it? Very disappointed at being told they won't piece meal work on it to figure out what's wrong? this is not some state of the art vehicle. It's a 2009 Kia Sedona base model. Nothing fancy. I will wait for it to not start and call AAA to take my local mechanic, not Kia. read more
