This is a rather unique review based on my wife's experience. We had noticed the our Jaguar F Type S was having problems with acceleration to the point that it became a major concern. Though we have had a great experience with Galpin Jaguar, we wanted to spare a long drive to the valley and risk damage to our car. We called our regular repair shop (Auto Pros II in Rosamond; another great shop by the way) and were told that they did not not work on that type of European hardware. Mario, the owner of Auto Pros II, recommended European Auto Specialists. We immediately called them but was unable to make contact with them. I attributed this to the Holiday season. Amanda did call soon after and an appointment was set. Long story short; my wife took the car in, and after a short time was diagnosed with a very bad case of rodent damage to the wiring. Under the recommendation of European Auto Specialists we set an appointment with Galpin Jaguar for the repair. Amanda and Trevor never tried to hard sell my wife anything. Could they have done he job? Yes, they could have, but felt due to liability constraints it would be better at Galpin. They are honest people, and even though we were not able to get the work done by them we will definitely be using them in the future. We would trust our Jaguar in their hands anytime. As the jazz great Mile Davis once said, "sometimes the most important notes are those that aren't played." In the case of European Auto Specialist, the most important wrench was the one not turned. I had another 1 star review that I erased before because I really wanted to give European Auto Specialist another chance. I went by to get an estimate for my brakes. I was told my front brake pads needed to be replaced along with the rotors. The estimate was $830 or so. The very next morning I took my car to Mercedes and they told me it was the rear break pad that needed replacing and the rotors were perfect at 80%. That cost me $300 at the dealership. Not only was I quoted for the wrong repairs but they were more expensive. I called to let Amanda know what Mercedes had found and all she had to say was "oh ok". No apology or anything... I'm very disappointed and they have lost my business and I hope others think twice before bringing their vehicle to this shop. My previous review was for a service B oil change which I got quoted much much more at this shop then at the actual Mercedes dealership. I only thought of coming here because of the convenience of this shop being at the city I live in. I'm at the dealership right now writing this and I'm still in shock. read more

Several hundred miles from home, my Honda Pilot engine light came on with an emission system failure message. The engine was running rough. We pulled over and called a few garages. Everyone was telling us that they couldn't fit us in or to just drop it off overnight and that hopefully they could fit us in in a day or two. Even though Amanda's shop was busy, she told us to come by so she could scan it. Turns out it was just low on oil. They topped off our oil and the check engine light turned off and we were on our way free of charge. read more

I don't ever write reviews but had to here. First and only experience with this shop. Had an appointment scheduled and towed my car to their shop that day. Took them three days to diagnose and I had to consistently call asking them throughout that three days because I wasn't getting any follow up after they said they would follow up. Same story throughout them working on my car; had to keep following up if/when my car was even being worked on. Took them almost two weeks to complete, which wouldn't have been an issue, but that was not what was communicated at all. Two days after picking up my car, all my coolant leaked out because the clamp wasn't even clamped down tight on those hose they replaced. The oil filter housing gasket they replaced was also actively leaking. So the two jobs that were performed were not done correctly. I called the shop to take my car back in and they said they wouldn't be able to get to it for 6 days. It's my only vehicle so I took it to another shop, also having zero confidence in their ability to do the jobs correctly in a reasonable time. I called the shop owner Amanda asking how do we make this right, and the only thing she could say is to bring the car back in to fix it and that I voided the warranty and that it was my fault I didn't speak to her when I called to bring it back in. Honestly feel like I got robbed $1300 so had to write this. In summary, communication was very poor, workmanship very poor, and customer service very poor. read more

The service is good, but this place is RIDICULOUSLY expensive! Needed brakes bad couldn't wait to get an appointment at the dealer so took my car to them, the dealer was actually $650 CHEAPER than what I paid them (same parts and labor) but I didn't know until after and I needed them replaced bad. The service is good and the people are nice, but the prices are just way too high! I would never go back simply because of this. read more

I was having trouble with my Audi check engine light was on and it was running poorly so I made an appointment and took it in fearing the worse They diagnosed the problem and asked me to bring it back the next day since the part had to be ordered. I brought it back the next day they swapped out the part , ignition coil and I was back to running smoothly, and for under a hundred bucks These guys always treat me good they have a comfortable waiting area the shop is in a nice area close to costco but most of all the friendly and professional I would highly recommend this place for any car but especially for Audi VW They really seem to know these cars inside and out read more

I have been to quite a few places to get my Mini Cooper serviced and I have to say that these guys are PHENOMINAL. No other place comes close! He explained what was wrong with my vehicle and went over the parts that were causing my car to misfire (ignition, spark plug, and coil issue) and what entails a 60k mile service (parts and all). He also explained in what order of priority service can be done so that I can get driving again and then come back for service again depending on my schedule. WOW, I have never had such in-depth mechanic specialists who really want you to know what is going on and how much it would cost. They really care about you and your car and want the best possible. Parts and labor explains the amount of time and money it may take for repair since parts come from the local area or other parts of SoCal, like Van Nuys. Since my car is made by the makers of BMW, the parts are at BMW prices but I'm getting honest quality work done here so it's worth it. I highly recommend this place for all your European auto care service needs. TIPS: FYI - if you plan on getting your car serviced here, call for an appointment. Ensure you plan for a ride so that, in case your car needs to stay at the shop during the week, you'll have other transportation. Otherwise, they are really easy to work with if you need to get driving but still need your car serviced based on how serious or not the mechanical issue is. If it's serious, they'll advise you not to drive your car. If they can work around it, they will advise you to stay local and then come back for the rest of service with parts and labor on a day you can come back. read more

I'm the second owner of a 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II that the family has loved since the early 90s. But she's nothing if not a challenge to repair. Age, parts availability, and qualified service folks are hard to find. Enter European Auto Specialists!! They've been my go-to garage for several years now. When I was first "accepted" as a client (after a once-over of the vehicle's condition) they recommended a number of corrective repairs - many of which were to re-do bad repairs from the past. I agreed and they did their magic. Car has been humming like a swiss watch - or a Rolls Royce - ever since. I'm now wary of anyone else touching the car, even to put in gas. Trevor and his assistant Terence provided a full detailed explanation of other issues with my car Terence even suggested that the radiator would eventually need replacement. Other mechanics assume that since it is an older model vehicle they can manipulate a customer into additional repairs. They were not only professional, but provided the upmost customer service. amanda was phenomenal!! i was in lancaster for work & in my way to a meeting then home to san diego when the check engine light came on in my r55 mini . anyone who knows earlier minis knows that they don't have oil or coolant temp sensor indicators on the dash, so i was in a huge bind & didn't want to risk breaking down on the way home. she was kind enough to do a quick scan for me, which gave me the peace of mind to get to my meeting & drive home to pick up my little guy. excellent customer service that is so hard to find in the automotive world, especially if you're a lady. love this place!! read more

I had an Audi that I took here for everything, ranging from oil changes to major repairs. Trevor and Amanda are the NICEST people. They took time to answer all my questions and showed me pictures of the damage done to me motor. They went above and beyond and deserve more then 5 stars. I no longer have that vehicle but I'm thinking about calling the shop to see if they service non European vehicles. They are highly recommended and so trust worthy. I unknowingly bought a lemon last year. I'd been repairing my car all year and paid thousands for rentals. So many shops took advantage of me, overcharging without actually fixing me car. In October my transmission went out and I paid to have it replaced, when I picked my car up it was leaking profusely. I called around and FINALLY a friendly voice answered and it was Amanda. She's the owner and checked her schedule. She was booked for the next month. Ended up taking me in that same day because I explained that my car had been in the shop for over two weeks for an 8hr job and I use it for work and would lose my job if it wasn't ready within a few days. She repaired my car in a timely fashion, saved my job and told me to call anytime I needed advice for my car. I ended up needing her again a month later. My car was repaired quickly and I won't speak on specific details, but she's such an understanding, down to earth, person that truly wants to help. I'll never forget what she did to help me. UPDATE: The mechanic felt the shop's service to me was not up to their standard of care, he had the owner call me. The owner was not pleased with the care shown to me or my car. I took my car back and the short story is I was amazed at the service. They took the time to walk me through every aspect of the repair, even to the point where they did not want to give the car back until they were absolutely positive it was fixed. Customer service was appreciated, the owner and his wife stayed until 7:30PM on a Friday night to deliver the car to me. I really appreciate Trevor and his team. I called and prior to bringing my vehicle in I was told that it would be looked at and informed of what the timeline would be. I called about an hour or two later and I was told that the vehicle was still being inspected. THREE HOURS later I decided to drive by and sure enough there my vehicle was sitting untouched in the same area that I dropped it off in. I called in to address my frustration with the manager who told me that the only thing he was sorry about was that "I HAD TO WAIST THREE HOURS OF MY TIME". He did not take any responsibility for me being misinformed. I wish I knew what I knew prior to, don't waist your time. & Augee( I think that's his name) the guy anwsering the phone refused to give me his supervisor's info to complain! I picked up a Porsche 928 that had some complications. I was new to this sort of vehicle, and 928's are even more complex than regular Porsches. The parts are difficult, often impossible to track down. I was worried when I started calling around the Antelope Valley and every mechanic seems afraid of these cars. The general work I needed was not something overly complex. But that stress was lifted off my shoulders when I met with Chuck and Peter. They can do anything on my car, but they also taught me a lot about it too. They explained how they were going to do work and why it would cost what it did. If something unexpected happened, they called me up and were timely. This is the only shop I will take my car to in Southern California! read more

I have been here for repairs twice now. They are very knowledgeable about BMW's. Trevor explains everything to me and answers all my questions. He never has preassured me to get anything extra. He does what is needed and If I can wait for a repair then he tells me. I have had 2 BMW's over the last 10 years and have been to alot of dealership service centers, Bimmer shops and European Auto places and they are usualy high pressure sales and I don't experience that here. I would recommend them and will be coming back. I just read Tremaine L's review. Yes sometimes for an inspection your car has to wait. They probably were trying to finish up pending repairs on vehicles that were already started. There isn't 6 mechanics there just 2. But if you want your car done right drop it off at a time when you don't need it right away. I had a transmission service, front brakes and a mirror motor replaced and it was done that day. Trevor asked if I needed the car right away because he wanted to test drive it. So he had it for me the next day and picked me up. Great customer service, knowledgeable and up front. Would recommend them to anyone! 3 weeks ago I called to get an appointment for my BMW 328i and they got me right in. Service only took 2 hrs, there were a couple things wrong and Trevor took the time to show me exactly what it was and typed up an estimate. Then, yesterday we called cause the battery went bad, we drove it over and got it replace in minutes even though they were swamped. If you have a warranty they do all the work of calling to get it fixed. Will continue to use them. read more
