I didn't like my dish (chicken tikka masala) as much as I did on my first visit. That being said, the service was excellent, the buffet looked full, fresh, and delicious as well my veggie korma side. The lunch special "Curry in a Hurry" is a great value. Will return again and again for sure. read more

Great food and implacable service. We were greeted so warmly when we came in for lunch on a Saturday with our party of 5 adults and 2 kids. We were showed the perfect table and offered highchairs for the little ones. We dined in for the $20 buffet. Food was so good. We recommend the Butter Chicken (not too spicy) and the Garlic Naan. Chili chicken was a good spicy option too. No pictures because we are it all! Haha We've also gotten take-out that was accurate to what we ordered and very good! We highly recommend! read more

We had a fun dinner here. The food was delicious. I had the Rogan gosht fish curry. The naan was nicely prepared and for dessert I had the carrot halwa. All wonderful. It was a little warm because we're in a heat wave at the time of the review, and the staff would put an additional fan where we were sitting every 20 minutes or so! Totally funny butt also... Man they really wanted us to be comfortable! I'll be back for sure read more

You can't go wrong in eating here if you enjoy authentic Indian cuisine. I've never had a bad meal here and the service is top notch.

Wow, I am so impressed with this spot; it's definitely a gem. My friend & I was around the Tomball area & was craving some Indian food & this location popped up. I'll say this, I wish Palette was closer to my house because I will be a frequent customer. The food & service was top notch. Here's what we've ordered. * Mango lassi- Very good, great amount of yogurt to add some tartness to it. While it was rich, creamy & fresh, it was a little on the sweeter side. Maybe a little too sweet. 4/5 * Vegetable samosa- fresh, hot & a great amount of filling. I enjoyed the green sauce; red sauce not so much. 4.5/5 * Onion Kulcha- this was definitely homemade, it was freshly baked, fluffy, & stretchy. It kind of looks like garlic naan because it's usually garnished with chopped cilantros but there were onions inside, so I'm certain it's Onion Kulcha. Either way it still tasted fantastic. 4.7/5 * Almond chicken- cooked very nicely with a good amount of spice. 4/5 * Goan coconut shrimp curry- probably one of my favorite dishes I've ever tasted. I can taste the curry spices & coriander coconut. It was full of flavor although a bit too spicy for a mild. I asked for mild because I wasn't in the mood for spicy however I didn't mind. 5/5 I didn't get the person name who brought us the Onion Kulcha, I think he was the owner. He was very polite, welcoming, asked us if it was our first time & came by to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Overall it was an awesome experience from the service to the food, will I come back? No doubt Tip: when you check-in on Yelp, you'll get 15% percent off on your meal, which I forgot to use when I went to pay argghhhhh. read more

First time trying Indian food, and all the yummy, delicious smells hit us as soon as we walked into the restaurant! Everything we ordered was really good, ESPECIALLY the Chicken Popsicles! The owner, Calvin, who is the nicest dude, told us it was his own recipe. It's amazing! We liked the pizza, but would've preferred it on roti or naan; personally, the crust is a little thick. My Hubby loved his Goat Rogan Gosht, and my Chicken Biriyani & spicy aloo had just the right amount of spice. The service was completely awesome! We will definitely be back, and would recommend ppl to give them a try. read more

Great, friendly attentive service and delicious food in an unpretentious atmosphere. Their sign says their "goal is to provide a 5 star experience to every guest meal after meal". I can say my 1st meal here was a 5 star and I will be back so that I can enjoy another 5 star meal! read more

I ordered the butter chicken and naan with basmati rice, and all I can say is just wow. So delicious, will definitely go back soon. Can't believe I didn't know about this sooner. The service was amazing, food was done super fast and the decor was very welcoming inside. Very clean. Friendly staff. read more

My husband and I went for the buffet lunch and it was wonderful. Plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options to choose from.

The shrimp curry and the cheese naan is my meal. The shrimp curry is nice and creamy and the shrimp is so good. I also had the goat biryani, the was spicy. It has a unique taste, worth the try. read more

Expensive, tasteless and uncomfortable. For a lunch buffet of plain Indian food, $19 is outrageous. The chicken was dry, the curry was bland, the rice sticky. With an unsweetened tea ($3), and tax comes to $24. The they have the gall to "suggest" a tip starting at 15% for the serve-yourself buffet. Strip Center ambiance and uncomfortable chairs adds to the negative vibes. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for Indian food. read more

This family run business is a gem! Honestly, one of the best Indian restaurants that I have ever had. Samosas were light and flaky. We ordered the following mains: Chana Masala, Saag Paneer & Chicken Tikka Masala with Naan to top it off. OMG - uhhhhhmazing. The food was fresh, authentic, and very well spiced!!! This place is a gem! Authentic Indian food which is amazing! If you are not familiar with many Indian dishes, and I highly recommend you go at lunch when they have a wonderful buffet where you can try a large variety of appetizers, dishes, side dishes, and of course, the naan-bread is a bit addictive! We love eating here or getting take-home on those "late getting home workdays"! read more

The only good thing was our server. Communication gap between front and kitchen. Food was meh and stale smelly. Roti was good. Food lacked flavor and salt. Not coming again and wont recommend. read more

We went for lunch to try the place out. There is a buffet, or you can order off the menu. We tried the buffet so we could taste a lot of different things and see what the place does well, etc. Everything we tried was done well. The chicken curry was awesome. The rice was fantastic as well. Everything was very fresh and extremely flavorful. If you are looking for Indian food in this area you can't beat this place. read more

Absolutely wonderful meal. They do truly make everything from scratch and it is evident in every dish and sauce they put on your table. We shared a crisp and fresh Gobi Manchurian appetizer, I had the saag paneer and the spinach was freshly made and had a perfect spice level- tasty but not hot. Curries and Naan and several other dishes were just delicious. Service was fast and efficient. Go here and support a local restaurant! You won't be disappointed! read more

What a great find in the Spring area! Came here for dinner with my mom on a Sunday evening. We are so happy to have found a good Indian restaurant to go to in North Houston. The food was flavorful and came in good sized portions. -Butter Chicken: Plenty of sauce and protein. The sauce was very rich and delicious. The chicken is sooo tender and moist! -Lamb Vindaloo: I liked this dish, but butter chicken was my favorite. It had a nice kick. -Naan Bread: It came out hot and fresh! This is a must with curry dishes. The restaurant is beautiful and clean inside. The service is great - the staff and owner, Calvin, are very friendly! I will be back. read more

There are better Indian places in the woodlands but for convenience it's good. It's just overpriced. $3 for ONE piece of naan?? Call me cheap but that's ridiculous. Also took over 30 minutes for ONE Togo entree. read more

Good customer service. The owner is very personable and basically walk the restaurant, almost explaining the food if you don't understand it. Food tastes very good if you are on the flavourful side . Clean environment too read more

Never being big on Indian food, the food was amazing. They offer a buffet for lunch which gives you a little bit of everything especially if you don't know what to order. The staff was very attentive and patient when going over the menu and answering any questions we had. It is a small restaurant but does offer a couple of tables and chairs outside as well as a big room for the bigger parties. It is definitely a place that we will return to. read more

First of all compliments to chef who made my tikka masala today. I got the lamb tikka masala and when I tell you it melts in your mouth. I haven't had lamb taste this good or be this tender since I moved to Houston 3 years ago. AMAZING I will definitely be back to try more menu items. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Only thing that I can say down is my inner big boy craved a little more buttery garlic on the naan. But even that was good!!! read more

Amazing customer service. The spicy level chicken tikka masala and butter chicken are great. And the fresh naan was good and worth dining in. My husband loved the food as well. My girlfriend who lives in Spring raved about this place a few times, so when we did a poolside date on her side of town, we ordered delivery from her favorite spot: Palette Indian Kitchen. Comfort food on a Sunday, why not? Besides, spicy Indian food pairs perfectly with a nice cold cider. The menu offered everything we needed: vegan options, vegetarian options, and low carb options. One gal pal got the chicken tikka plate with a salad (low carb); another gal pal ordered the chicken tikka malasa; I ordered the saag paneer; and we all shared veggie samosas, naan, and roti. Everything was devoured. Portions were sizable for a dinner; it was served hot, fresh, no mess, and no-mess ups! I am glad that I ordered the naan because it didn't come with the any of the dinner plates - but rice did. If you like spice, request some extra condiments to kick it up a notch. Def recommend. read more

Very good. I'm super picky about Indian food and I liked everything I ate here. It's pretty pricey but the food is tasty and it made it worth it. I think my favorite thing was the rice pudding. Omg, it's so good! I could eat buckets of it. read more

We were on our way to galveston and picked up our oder here . Its not authentic indian food .. we ordered chettinad chicken which had cream in it .. say what ? . The kids and I wanted some comfort food on this rainy afternoon of virtual learning. I found this place on yelp and read great reviews and thought, "I should give it a try!" The restaurant does not offer family style to go orders so I ordered many different entrées. I wanted to try something different which is the reason why I ordered the shrimp. Omg!! It was delicious! Please note the names in the pictures might be wrong because I don't remember what I ordered...but I can tell you that the food was amazing! That all that really counts here. The flavor is perfect...the meat is tender... The sides are love...The naan brings it all together! You simply can not go wrong here! The food does not disappoint at all. I'm raising a couple food critics and they loved the food. My son kept saying it has the right amount of kick. We will definitely be back to dine in! read more

Have come here several times as this is a favorite spot of my parents. Came on Saturday night for dinner and really enjoyed the food. We ordered two orders of each to share - the garlic nan, chicken Tikka, veggie korma, and the gobi Manchurian. Everything was super fresh, piping hot, and delicious. It's hard to find really great Indian food in this area, but they do it well! The only thing I would complain about is the restaurant was so hot at dinner time. It felt like the ac was either broken or not turned on until the very last moment. They open I think at 4:30 and we were there around 5:30 and it was probably around 80 degrees in there. read more

We wanted to Palette India Kitchen, the only Indian restaurant in our area that we hadn't tried out. It offers a mix of a la carte and buffet food. Most of the food on offer is North Indian but they have some stuff from other parts of India. We got tandoori chicken (very mild and not accurate), saag paneer (not too fresh), dal and rice (ok), tandoori roti (good), and kheema mutter (good). The service was pretty slow. Overall I would rate the place as merely ok. If you want a really good rendition of North Indian food, drive to Aga's in Sugar Land. In the Woodlands, Hyderabad house is the best in the area in our opinion. read more

I love Indian food, and I love Palette indian Kitchen. The other day we received a coupon in the mail for this local Indian eatery. So we waited for the right moment and went over to celebrate my daughter's birthday and her new driver's permit. (I was more keen on the first than the later, lol.) The Palette offers a lunch buffet and since Indian food is such a favorite of mine I chose the buffet, and so did my daughter. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and bright. I could tell that the owners had wonderful taste, style and an understanding of the importance of light. (Too often I am disappointed at how dark a place is. I believe it detracts from the visual cues a well prepared plate presents.) The gentle sounds of conversation and laughter from four other tables, made me feel comfortable as my daughter and I made our way to the buffet that offered a wide selection of dishes. I am not ashamed to say that I had a spoonful of every dish, with the exception of the rice pudding (I've never been a fan lol) but my daughter helped herself to two servings of it. :) The food was spot on. Fresh, Hot, and layers upon layers of flavor. I went back for more and my daughter beat me by going back a third time. The owners were present but didn't introduce themselves until the end of the meal when they asked if everything was to our liking. I complained that I would have liked to have more room in my stomach for more. We laughed and I told them that the food was excellent. When they asked why we selected their establishment my wife explained that we were celebrating my daughter's birthday and 2 minutes later they surprised us with a slice of chocolate cake with well wishes written on the plate in chocolate syrup. Later, as we were driving away my wife reminded me of a conversation I had had with some friends where we had asked for their recommendations were for good authentic Indian food. We searched out notes and sure enough Palette was one of the top three for all of Houston. Oh boy...I can't wait to go back. A solid FIVE STARS. read more
