My Mom's favorite Korean supermarket with variety of products, wide selection of groceries and also prepared foods. The prices are reasonable.

Check out Palama market today. Inside restaurant they have shrimp for u is the name of the restaurant, very good shrimp lunch plates. Service is good , but short staff so food takes awhile to come out. Very clean place too.

Annyeonghaseyo。One of my favorite supermarket to go to! They have a wide variety of snacks, ready to eat food, ready to cook meat, lots of ramen selections, of course, their banchan dishes! I love both Palama supermarket in Makaloa and the one on N King Street. Makaloa is closer but the parking is horrible. The cashiers are normally friendly specially the ajummas! Palama supermarket is the place to get your kimchi's! They have also really yummy marinated kalbi and spicy pork that I love to grab and cook for dinner! This is also where I get my rice cake and rainbow cake! Sooo mochilicious!!! The store also has restaurants such as the Palama restaurant for your soon dobu chigae, Korean fried chicken and their Korean desserts. Just be ready to bring your patience as the parking in Makaloa isn't the best. But once you're parked, then you find happiness inside the store.

A huge benefit of living in the Ala Moana area is that we're within "walking distance" of two of our favorite Korean supermarkets. I'll have to fend for myself while my wife is out of town, so today I bought some convenient, but tasty, foods from Palama Supermarket. I picked up four kinds of banchan: cooked potatoes (gamja jorim), fresh kimchi, cucumber kimchi, and something I never tried before, king oyster mushroom jeon. I also bought a 12-pack box of CJ brand of cooked white rice. I love kimchi and gamja jorim, and Palama's didn't disappoint. The colors of the kimchi were vibrant and tasted just right. The potatoes were delicious. The battered pieces of mushroom were thinly sliced and crunchy, and the jeon went well with the provided sauce; however, the container wasn't as full as it initially appeared to be, the jeon lying on a mound of shredded cabbage. (This will help fill my daily quota of raw vegetables.) CJ's microwavable rice always comes to the rescue when time is short. The quality of the cooked rice is superior to what I've been served at many local eating establishments. These are just a sample of items available at Palama. We shop there frequently, it's just that the mix is different when shopping for one.

Loved the Bibimbap Korean dish other things they have at the Palama Market Kimchi Meat Jun Bulgogi, and I Would Love visit Palama Market someday

I love browsing through Palama to see if they've got new snacks and goodies to try! I highly recommend trying their rice cake options. I thought the pink and white mochi balls looked interesting so I decided to give it a try. These little balls are filled with a watery, honey liquid and sesame seeds! It's a burst of sweetness! My grandma and I love snacking on these while we watch tv. We decided to try the mung bean rice cake. I didn't care for the injulmi powder on it but my grandma really enjoyed it because it wasn't too sweet. I will definitely be trying their other options!

Business has a new ad posted every Friday. There are so much to buy on sale. I love their selection of bentos from meat Jun and bulgogi. During my visit, my purchase was candies, a box 3 in coffee pack, and bulgogi bento. I said that my neighborhood doesn't have a Korean supermarket with goodies that I like.

We've been coming to Palama Supermarket for years! My husband used to love the spicy pork plate lunch in the food court area. He still does I guess but the portion to price ratio has been a little unfavorable, like everything else these days. They have a wide variety of Korean goodies including instant noodles, teas, sauces, snacks, and frozen goods like mandoo and tteokbokki, seasoned meats and side dishes, and soju and desserts. They also have household goods, some tech, some skincare, and some health supplements. Inside is brightly lit and neatly organized. Staff are generally polite. Today I went in search of seasoned spicy canned tuna that I used to eat all the time years ago. But there were none! :( Only had plain tuna. Meh. Ended up buy too much of other things instead haha! Left with instant porridge and instant rices to try, some dipping sauces I saw on Instagram, seasoned seaweed, and kimbap and marinated chicken to cook for dinner. The kimbaps are good, esp the bibimbap one. The spicy anchovy roll is delicious as well. The chicken was a big portion but it's sold by weight.

Visited Palama Supermarket today.....they have a wonderful selection of meat. Picked up Kimchi and a bag of Wild Mountain Leaves ( don't know how to use it) can't be that hard. Several ladies were buying it and I took up the challenge. Also bought some hot sauce. Check put was fast and easy, the cashier was friendly and kind. Typical supermarket atmosphere with lots of different Korean goodies....will definitely be back to pick up meat from their vast selection.

This review is in regards to the restaurant inside of Palama Super Market. I got the Yukgaejang which is beef short rib soup with vegetables. It was not too spicy had lots of meat and vegetables. The sides were ok. There's lots of seating inside which is nice. Overall decent Korean food at an affordable price under $15 with a dining area.

Good variety of take home food. We just decided to come in try the one sushi. Not bad for 5.50 fresh and tasted authentic. Good filling and not a lot of rice.

Asian stores are one of the best! And I am lucky enough to have few in my neighborhood. But even though, I rarely come visit Palama Supermarket and every time I did pilgrimage here, it's always fun and exciting. For my K-cravings this store is my go to. Not lots of option but they got pretty good selection. From noodles to produce and bento meals, there is always something for you. Costumer service ain't the best though. And most of the time when I'm dealing with them they got this plain poker face. It feels like stiffness and cold towards you. But I don't care that much as long as they were able to help my queries. Parking situation is so tight and always in chaos. You gotta be quick and alert as possible. I will always love to check this store once in a blue moon to check if there's something new and interesting to purchase. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps!

I always come here "just to look," but end up with a gigantic, branded reusable bag filled to the brim with imported Asian snacks. Many Chinese products, but also Korean, Japanese, Thai, etc. Snacks range from exotic chip flavors to candies and sodas. Further back you'll find more substantial instant noodle meals. The Chinese ones are actually great and are way more complex ingredients-wise than your standard instant noodle. Also in the back are Chinese cooking ingredients such as sauces and dry goods, but my favorite is the super thick, wide glass noodles that I use for hot pot. There's also a small section with Asian toiletry products that I've personally never tried. I must say it feels like there is less variety of items since they moved locations. Some snacks are repeated in different spots on the shelves to make it look like there's more variety. My favorite latiao that I used to get at their old location is no longer available. :( I'll keep coming back regularly because they're always getting new items in stock.

Then the other time I went and the store was supposed to be open and no one was there yet. Because all these snacks come in internationally, the goods need to go through customs. So if you go in on the day when they just received shipment, bingo! You're lucky to find a lot of good things (I think). I haven't had any of those days. It's a pretty clean and big store. You can find a lot of foreign type of snacks. Chips, cookies and candies. I'm not a big risk taker at trying to eat something i don't know, but all the seaweed chips are delish!

Now darn I try to avoid this shop, as much as I LOVE all the products, my wallet doesn't, hehe. I have a habit of buying every single thing. Don Quijote does get crazy with parking, lines, feeling of clutter here but despite that I LOVE shopping here & the prices are low, if you can catch it on sale, even better! Don Quixote? The titular protagonist of Miguel de Cervantes' 17th-century Spanish novel, often considered the first modern novel? No, not him. Side-quest unlocked: Go to Don Quijote to looks at Trader Joe's-like bags and peruse affordable macadamia nuts. Imagine if a Japanese convenience store, Costco, Walmart, Japanese pop culture, and a late-night snack gremlin all moved into one building and decided to co-habilitate. That's Don Quijote, or as locals lovingly know it: Donki. Don Quijote is Japanese discount megastore in Honolulu where you walk in for one bottle of water and somehow leave an hour later with Japanese cheesecake, body wash, a rice cooker, novelty socks, a plush penguin, Spam musubi, an ankle brace, and at least one item that made you say, "Well, I've never seen that before." Every aisle is an adventure. It's part grocery store, part pharmacy, part souvenir shop, part beauty supply, part snack paradise, and part "why are they selling this and why do I suddenly need it?" The shelves are packed to the ceiling, the signage is loud, the deals are good, and the whole place feels like a treasure hunt designed by someone who drank three Red Bull Kyoho Grapes and said, "More products! More fun! No empty shelf space!" The Honolulu location is also gloriously open 24 hours, which means it serves a very specific and beautiful type of chaos: jet-lagged tourists like myself, night owls craving Japanese curry, and people making questionable but spiritually necessary 1:11 a.m. purchases. TL;DR, Don Quijote is less of a store and more of an experience. A slightly overwhelming and delightfully unhinged retail adventure.
