February 2026 There are very few establishments that I will go to having to travel there Via Dillingham Boulevard. As we all know, Dillingham Boulevard is a total mess. But, Island Green Mart is one of the very few if not, the only establishment I would go to braving the horrible roads that Dillingham Boulevard has become OK, here's my take Clean establishment Clean and neat vegetables Clean and neat frozen goods Clean and neat dry goods Interesting imported Asian goods Priced right It's like going to an enclosed Chinatown market, but clean, neat and organize organized Nuff said!

We went to Island Green Mart to pick up some Avocados and Daikon and other items, should have picked up the papayas there! Safeway had a sale for $1.29 but the ones at Island Green Mart was in better condition and better size. The area is very clean and well kept and the leafy items are bagged in plastic bags and in the refrigerator section which keeps it fresher . They also carry fresh & frozen meats and frozen seafood and lots of groceries items. They are getting busier that customers are finding out about this hidden grocer, so now they have a parking lot attendant, but the movement is pretty fast as customers come and go pretty steady and there is hardly a line at the 2 check out at the most 1-2 customers in the line at the most. Still have a little traffic due to the road work but worth while instead of driving around looking for parking at Chinatown or the Dillingham Chinatown market.

Maybe it used to be GBC store before.

I heard they have one in Chinatown and small store near by Chuck E. Cheese in Kalihi along with other markets. I like this location because of the free ample parking although the Dillingham road is one road I preferred to avoid. Once you in this large air conditioned warehouse, I like the produced section, since it seems the vegetables are fresh and clean. Unique fruits, herbs, and vegetable can be find here. They have raw peanuts to make boiled peanuts, vegan frozen foods and products from Philippines, Vietnam and China. There's a variety of drinks, meat, snacks, coffee, products. I love shopping here. I do like their herbs, produce, snacks and chilled drinks, Vietnamese coffee packets. You would find ingredients when making tapioca! I do like their selection of Asian cold drinks. I believe they are in the former GBC store across Honolulu Community College.

My go to for Asian groceries if I'm in the area and especially don't want to go to Chinatown. Many selection to choose from, fresh produce, reasonably priced, lots of parking, convenient, getting more organized and more options in stock.

    Vegan "meat" options!

If you want a ton of Asian cooking options, this is THE spot! It's big, clean, lots of parking and well organized. They have 2 freezer sections, organized by seafood and prepared foods. Fresh noods and dried noods. Noods galore! All kinds of ingredients including gluten free. Fresh meats including cuts you can't find in most places including intestines, blood, necks and even rectum. If that's your thang. Tons of snacks! Lots of seasoning. Fresh veggies at good prices. They had like 4 kinds of mangos. And tons of leaves. Like 2 rows of leaves of unusual things. And the surprise of the visit- TONS of vegan "meat" and "seafood" products, both dry and frozen. Labels are clearly marked including translations and lots of buy 2 for a cheaper price deals. I even scored ube flavor condensed milk!! Overall I'm mad I haven't gone shopping here sooner!

Disappointing to say, Chinatown isn't quite the place as it used to be. It was once the place to purchase fresh and unique produce at the cheapest price (no tax helps too), but now, there are more options outside of Chinatown with similar or even better prices, and also better parking. Island Green Mart is one of those newer places, and I've become an instant fan after shopping here a couple of times. It's conveniently located along Dillingham Blvd., across Honolulu Community College. Yes, get the rail construction going on, but it's not that bad getting there. Just bumpy. There's plenty of parking, and no other businesses sharing it. The inside is like a warehouse. Right side has all your frozen and dried goods, sauces, instant noodles, snacks, and etc. There's a chill section with noodles, tofu, eggs, and etc. Though, this section doesn't seem cold enough as I spotted too many noodles with mold. The left corner takes you to the produce section with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. This section is even more cooler! The variety is predominantly Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Filipino items. There's also a meat section where you'll find a wide variety of different cuts of duck, pork, and beef. You'll find many unique cuts as well such pork uterus, duck head, pork and duck blood, pig tails, and etc! Overall, I enjoyed shopping here. There are a lot of excellent deals if you purchase multiple items. The prices are typical to Chinatown and other places with a decent amount of variety. But not quite enough Chinese vegetables. Everything is fresh and well packaged. The whole store is quite clean and organized with everything clearly marked. The staff here are very friendly and nice. This is definitely my new go-to place!

Three and a half stars. It has a lot of items and the place is huge. It's not crowded and the produce is pretty fresh and at a great discount! Maybe I went on a sale day without knowing but they had a few items on sale. I wanted cilantro, a few spicy sauces and a few other items for I didn't want to go into Chinatown. Great selection of noodles as well as a few other items.

Clean, spacious, organized, with free parking in front, what more could you want in an Asian grocery? Removed from the griminess and hustle and bustle of Chinatown, you can feel safe and calm shopping in this warehouse and you don't have to hold your breath to avoid disturbing odors. It carries just about everything -fruits and vegetables. meats, frozen seafood, and packaged and canned goods from many different Asian and Southeast Asian restaurants. The only thing that might deter you a bit from getting there is the Dillingham construction in front of the Alakawa Costco. The road is rough and you need to know where to turn in but you can feel like you're in the Philippines or Thailand for an authentic experience.

Produce area (kinda reminds me of Chinese supermarkets on the mainland)

Have been avoiding the dilingham area because of the ongoing road work but I guess I may have yo go there more often now! Island Green Mart is a relatively new Asian supermarket on Dilingham. It's easier to get there from the west and they got plenty of parking. They mainly sell groceries from South East Asia. Chinese groceries mainly from mainland China instead of Hong Kong or Taiwan. No Japanese or Korean products but that's ok those you can find at other stores! They also have a good selection of produce. There are some foods that I don't usually see at other supermarkets (at least I haven't) such as pork brain, balut, etc. Price is reasonable. Definitely not as cheap as Chinatown but it's clean and convenient you don't have to worry about parking :)

Hidden gem by dillingham blvd, is nice and clean and free parking. The only thing you have to look at is the date of the products. Some are manufacturing date some might be expired. So bring more people shop there and they can rotate new products quick. Went there for rice ball but came out whole bunch of other things. Very nice place if you struggle to find parking at China town.

I bought two bag of sunflower seeds. Both sign says 2 for $8, I grab one for each. When charged they charged one selling price. I asked them why. The cashier was yelling and emotional saying it has to be one kind. I said there is the sign. They said that's how it is. I asked the manager. She has very bad attitude saying special means has to be same kind, mix means you can buy different. I said as customer we didn't know the code of there. I said it would be better to let customer know with a better clear sign. The manager said we are not gonna follow your idea! I said you need think from customer's perspective. Some people may not know but pay two single retail price for each. That's sneaky. She said that's their issue.... came out from the store, the cashier couldn't find the sunflower seed I refunded. She chased me out asking me to open my trunk. I did then she started digging the box with all items I purchased. What kind of the service is that!!! What behavior is that?!! Soooo rude!!! Plus, lots of things get more expensive. And one item showed $25.99 they charged $26 in the system. I'm not saying that's 1 cent different. But many more customers made it different. Also, one time I found at home the small package of Thai chili pepper charged same with big package..... Not worth to come anymore!

My first visit here to Island Green Mart on Dillingham Blvd. Bumpy roads to get here due to road construction. Once you turn into the parking lot you can park for free. Large open entrance to the mart. Big open aisles. There are separate sections for fresh produce, meats, eggs and dry goods. The mart has plastic baskets to hold your items while you shop. Items are from Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Hawaii, Philippines, Korea and more. Huge selection of Asian foods here. A really nice surprise. As you enter the mart, there is a wall of lunar new year items may be purchased. Cash and charge cards accepted here.

Every time I walk inside, there's a strong, unpleasant odor that smells like sewage or fecal matter. It's consistent enough that it doesn't feel like a one-off issue--it's something you notice immediately when you enter the store. At times it seems stronger in certain areas, which makes me wonder if it's coming from plumbing, floor drains, or possibly even outside air getting pulled in. What's frustrating is that this location used to feel like one of the better-run stores on the island. Now, the overall impression is very different. Even if the shelves are stocked and the staff is doing their job, the environment itself really affects the experience of shopping there. What stands out is the comparison with nearby stores like Safeway, which don't seem to have the same issue, even though they serve the same general area. That contrast makes the problem at this location even more noticeable. I hope management takes a serious look at it, because this doesn't feel like a minor cleanliness issue--it feels like an infrastructure or maintenance problem that's been left unresolved for too long. It's a shame, because the store has a lot of potential and used to be a go-to spot.
