It's the new Korean supermarket on Keeaumoku where Ross used to be. This place is also home to Tous les Jours bakery. The supermarket just recently opened. It's not fully stocked. The produce section seemed full. They also have a lot of sauces and seasonings. There's a huge wall of ramen noodles and an abundance of snacks. I also saw ice cream and a plethora of drinks. What I'm really excited about is the food court that's coming. It's not quite ready yet, but I love food courts. I can't wait to see what kind of eateries they'll have. I hope it's good!

If you are ever in Ala Moana and Don Quixote area, check this Korean market which also has Tous les Jours bakery, beauty korean shop and Florist. There is a wide selection of snacks, desserts, sauce/seasonings. beverages, and produce. Did noticed some refrigerated sections were not fully stock or empty. It was soft opening so I'm sure they have more inventory by next week. The aisles were clean and neatly organized. There is 10% off the side dishes likes kimchee and seaweed. Ahi was 20% off regular price. Staff were nice. They also provide 1 hour validated parking with purchase. The hours for soft opening are: 10am to 11pm. But next week with grand opening, 8am to 11pm. I'm excited to see more inventory and food hall to open as well.

This use to be an Ross's just a couple years ago. Now it's a Korean Supermarket. What a surprise after walking out of the Pagoda Hotel. It was RIGHT THERE! Out of curiosity we went in. Very clean well organized store. An associate named Jana helped us immensely. A lot of the products have Korean packaging. But all we had to do was tell Jana what flavored snacks we liked and she guided to the selections. She did say that more product was still on it's way. And the store has only been open since Feb. this year, 2026. This place will definitely be on our stop every time we come to Honolulu from the Big Island.

New super market located in the old Ross across from Walmart. Very clean and organized. The clerks were friendly and helpful. They have options for produce, meats, seafood, drinks and snacks. It reminds me a little of HMart but they also have a bakery and a beauty shop. There will also be a food hall opening up soon so i can't wait to go back and see what else they'll have!

Wanted to see this place since it first opened :) It seemed like the market section was still not fully open yet. Some of the shelves were empty. They have good looking vegetables and for reasonable prices. There was a florist booth, but it wasn't open. The bakery section was kinda busy when we went and it was great they had tons of seating inside. The pasteries looked really good and the prices were not too bad. One croissant was huge! We will try them out when we have more time the next time we visit

Food 5/5 They have regular and premium. We ordered regular. Loved the spicy poke. The tuna is fresh and is cut into large pieces. My partner enjoyed his shoyu but I liked the spicy poke more. Service 1/5 Awful service overall. Staff members chat and giggle amongst themselves and talk to customers in a snobby tone. Staff member was not helpful at all in ordering and misunderstood and did not put rice in one of the bowls. He acted like we should know the answers to the questions we're asking. I get it, it's busy and crowded but I did not see anyone giving them a hard time and everyone was patient, except literally the staff workers.

I got some fresh poke (and holy guacamole, there is a HUGE selection to pick from!), 2 cans of banana water (what the heck? I didn't even know you can make banana water LOL), some sparkling coconut water, and some veggies. I loved everything I got, and I'm already planning another grocery list to go to Foodland for more of their goodies! Some of their prices are a little higher than those of other grocery stores, but not terribly so. All in all, I'm coming back here for more poke (beach poke and some taro chips, anyone?) and for some groceries! I loved the atmosphere and how friendly the employees are!

I decided to do the long walk from Waikiki down to the store, and I was so rewarded for the effort. Walking up and the row of epic restaurant stalls had me grinning from ear to ear. There were so many delicious options OUTSIDE the store that I almost never made it in. From handrolls featuring the freshest seafood from Hokkaido to wagyu kushiyaki and more, my mouth was watering seeing it all beautifully displayed in the windows, and I'm surprised no one said anything about my gawking. Don Q is such a fun store because they have anything and everything you can think of across nearly every category. If I said they're like the Japanese Walmart, it wouldn't hit quite right because the quality and breadth of the selections here are far better. My favorite part of visiting Don Q has to be the incredible array of Asian specialty ingredients and snacks they sell and the reasonable prices. I picked up some gifts here including some exceptional styles of furikake and togarashi, but saw way too many other things I wanted. They also have amazing prepared foods here, specifically Japanese items. There's an entire sushi counter featuring all cuts of bluefin and more, freshly made onigiri, great selection of bentos and and poké too! You really owe it to yourself to visit!

Honestly such a great snack combo. We also grabbed a sushi tempura roll and were surprised by how good it was since we saved it for the next day for an early morning snorkel sesh: it was fresh, crispy, and filled with big chunks of shrimp, easily better than what some sit-down restaurants serve. The crispy Japanese sweet potato drizzled with a bit of honey was incredibly comforting and homey, and a nice balance of sweet and savory. We also tried the chicken katsu, which had a light, crisp breading and came with fluffy white rice topped with furikake. The side potato salad was refreshing with nice, chunky pieces of potato and not overly heavy. Perfect spot to grab quality food quickly before heading out to do other day-long activities. And even after we moved, we would still drive out just to come here for the seafood. That's how special it was to us. The reason why he chose Tamashiro over other grocery stores was simple--it was quality and because of my Nanay (grandma). His mom purchased from here and made so many delicious dishes. He knew what to look for, and he trusted this place. For him, it wasn't just about buying food... it was about getting the best for his family. My dad isn't the type to say "I love you." He shows it. One of the biggest ways he showed love was through his cooking. Even after a long day on his feet cooking for others, he would come home and cook for us. That was his way of taking care of us. I loved coming here with him. It was a five-senses overload--the smell of fresh seafood, the sound of people talking story, the colors of fish on display. Back then when you were allowed to sample a grape or poke to make sure it was good before buying. But more than that, it was time with him. I still remember the excitement I felt when I saw the pink building with the huge crab. I thought back then was to look at everything but now I understand that it meant something more..... something special--time with my dad. It's with a sad heart that Tamishiro Market is now closed.
