I went to Pala Mesa Pizza today to get an antipasto salad and was surprised to hear of all the salad dressing choices. I chose ranch and blue cheese but they have so many more that are all homemade including pesto ranch. I wish I would have tried it because their chicken pesto pizza is yummy. The guy who helped me followed me out to pala Mesa market to get fresh tomatoes for my salad. Said they weren't ripe at the store so he needed to run and get some. Better than hearing "sorry we are out". The salad was amazing, both the ranch and blue cheese. I highly recommend this location for amazing salads. read more

We call in for pizza all the time because there's nothing closer then this place. I'm sad to say it's always a complete disappointment. They always say it will take 20 minutes, but it ends up taking double the amount of time. The last time, they messed up our pizza order and we didn't realize it till we got home. Terrible service. Such a shame because there's a lot of people around in the new communities around them that would love to support a place close to them, but this place continually disappoints. Like so many before us, tonight we were the latest victims of these workers incompetence. Went in tonight to order a personal pizza and a salad to go. Paid and went next door to grab a few items from the market and returned hoping the food would be ready. Unfortunately it wasn't so we began to sit. After sitting for 15 mins the teenage girl brought over a salad to eat that was clearly not to go. After looking bewildered when we reminded her everything was to go she went back behind the counter only to pop her head out a few mins later asking us what else we had ordered. We reminded her about the personal one topping pizza. She then ducked back to clearly start on our pizza - a full 30 mins after we ordered. Now normally this would not be a big deal. I get it things slip through the cracks. But there was not even the slightest apology or even communication about the mix up. My husband and I clearly knew that we were forgotten. But instead of owning the mistake she pretended that nothing was amiss. The food is great here. It really is. But the kids working there need to be trained. They rely on the fact they are the only pizza place around. But after tonight we will have no problem driving further to Fallbrook. In all honestly we will probably get home to eat at the same time even with driving an extra 20 mins. Will not be back- and will consider opening up a rival spot. Should be able to put them out of business fast enough with any teenager that has been trained for 2 hours. read more

They are open as of 11/22/2020! Only carry out now, but I am fine with that. So glad they are open again They have the tastiest BBQ chicken pizza we've ever had. Growing pains? I think this place is still relatively new. So I want to be fair in my review and take that into consideration. I'm going to break it up into three categories. Staff, Food, and Service. Staff Grade : A The people there are super friendly. They love to chat it up with the customers, laugh and have fun. Food Grade : B- The food is definitely NOT BAD. I mean its not going to blow your hair back, but worth going back for from time to time. Service : C- Unfortunately I think this is their biggest opportunity. Keep in mind, like I said above, they are very friendly. The one issue I have is that if you order a pizza for take out by phone they tell you it will be ready in 20 minutes. So you show up 20-30 minutes later and end up waiting 20 minutes. Not really sure why, but it has happened virtually every time I have ordered take out. Even on the slowest nights of the week and the smallest orders. So all-in-all I gave them 3 stars, but I think things will get smoother as time goes by and they get the wrinkles ironed out. *Tip : If the sauce is an important part of the pizza for you then I suggest you order extra sauce on your pizza. Some places go heavy on the sauce. Others go light. These guys tend to go a little light. read more

I placed a phone order about 2 weeks ago, I wanted a large pizza half and half. The lady on the phone said they dont do half bbq half hawaiian because they cant put 2 different sauces since once they put they cheese on they dont know what side is which...ok no biggie...I ordered the bbq chicken pizza. When I showed up to get it (about 20 mins later) it wasnt ready yet, the lady was busy talking to other customers in there so I wasnt greeted or anything, she just said the pizza wasnt ready. The overall flavor was good except for the chicken it had the taste of chicken that has been reheated plenty of times. They are very generous with the toppings, and their crust is very good. However it wasn't worth the drive from the center of fallbrook. I hope they can improve their flaws and the pizza could actually have good potential. read more

Going to have to get it together service wise if you want to stay in business. Hire more people and designate jobs or hire a manager who can delegate. The young guy at the front is rushing around stressed out lacking the help he needs to answer phones, take orders, check out customers and bake pizzas. It's a Friday night there should be more staff..... Haven't had my pizza yet but based off of the frustrated customers walking out without their pizzas, it seems I may never get it. The WORST service I have ever encountered. The employees are CHILDREN and have no business being behind the counter. It took 30 min for 1 small cheese pizza and an order of spaghetti. There were 4 of them and they still couldn't fill the orders coming in on time. The owner needs to seriously re-evaluate his choice in staff if he wants to continue to run a successful business. Called in an order for a large BBQ chicken pizza. Employee on the phone sounds confused at my very simple order... I'm told on the phone 25-30 minutes. I arrive to the pizza place about that much later. I'm told it will be a minute. No problem. I'm offered something to drink, I decline. If I had been told I was going to be waiting actually 20 more minutes in the crazy warm shop (because of the huge pizza ovens at the front) I would have taken the drink! So why 4 stars? The pizza nearly redeemed that experience. So much chicken, great BBQ sauce, chewy crust, crisp bacon, perfect amounts of cilantro and onions on top. Also, I saw a pizza behind the counter with portions of the crust burnt and hoping it wasn't mine. That pizza sat there the whole time, clearly not getting cut, boxed, or served to anyone. I know that some other pizza places would have totally still served it. When the employee rang me up she explained they had some pizza mishaps and that was the reason for the delay. We will be back and will be happy to give this place 5 stars if they get all squared away. read more

I waited for for roughly 10 minutes for my pizza until I finally asked if everything was coming along ok (as I had seen other orders go out that were after mine) and he asked what my order was..I told him then he shuffled through the boxes of to go orders sitting on top of the oven and finds mine..not even acknowledging that I had been sitting there for at least ten minutes waiting for an order that had been done.. So glad Nessey's was busy and we were in a hurry that we decided to grab a slice, salad and drink combo. Everything was tasty and served quickly too! The side salad that came with the combo had fresh greens, black olives, cucumbers, tomatoes and yummy big croutons. The best part was the homemade dressings! Wow these guys threw down a great pie. So great we ate the whole thing! Everything was great, the amount of toppings, the sauce, the crust.....perfect combination. Amazing owners with delicious pizza and more. It is a very casual small restaurant with basic table and chairs, plus two booths. However, do not judge the food by the interiors simplicity. The ingredients used throughout their menu are of high quality. I order the Chicken Pesto Pizza and it was wonderful. Plus, the homemade stuffed jalapeño peppers are in high demand by clientele. I was disappointed they were out of the stuffed jalapeño peppers when I went to place my order. However, the owners apologized for the inconvenience. I definitely plan to return another time to give these peppery treats a try. Furthermore, take out orders are very popular at this establishment too. Best pizza in Fallbrook and Bonsall area. The Jalapeño Bites are absolutely amazing. They give you a bunch of them and are generous with the raspberry dipping sauce that complements them so well. Also, they take a lot of care in their spread of toppings - they consistently spread them evenly across the pizza. If you're looking for a wonderful pizza place, this is the one!!
