We shipped 3 framed prints (with glass), and Michelle was very clear about what we might expect with the shipping, what the approximate costs were, and how they would be packed and shipped. She communicated again once she had them packed to let us know the total cost, and again once shipped, giving us the tracking information. Beware. This business is price gouging. This isn't the fist time, but this is the first time I have evidence- I've got a 1:1 price comparison, so I am compelled to share. My husband asked for the "slowest, cheapest" shipping to Canada for a small, light package. The only price he was quoted was $208.94. The clerk did not offer any other options. That was the only means and price available to ship to Canada. I called and asked the owner to verify if that price was correct, because it is astronomical. Owner was suddenly able to find a FedEx rate to ship the package for $120. I walked across the street to the UPS store- same package, same contents: $60.09 to arrive within 2 days of the Pak Mail rate. The owner did return the package to us and refunded the $208. read more

They arrived in perfect condition! Michelle is a no nonsense business woman who knows all of the extensive rules for USPS, UPS, and FedEx. WOW! I was impressed by her knowledge and professionalism. I have found the company that will do all of my future shipping. PS. I normally love this place more than the post office, however there is one woman who works there that is extremely rude to me and has tried to deny me service multiple times. She claims that they cannot ship my packages yet they normally ship my packages almost weekly. Get this, they have shipped them when she was working. My experience with this location is good. I wanted in and had some paperwork to do, and not having been here before I watched how they treated their customers. They were very helpful (they even went to get a box out of a customer's car). When it was my turn, they seemed a little "strictly business" (cold) at first, but warmed up once our business was neared completion. If I have the need, I will return. My family and I had the best experience with Pak Mail San Antonio. My Dad had to go into assisted living and my brother, wife and I had a week to get everything done. The mover recommended Michelle at Pak Mail because we had a number of things that needed to be shipped to various locations and family members, including 2 oil paintings, a number of small, very fragile items and furniture. She came over to the apartment and picked everything up and spent a good amount of time making sure each piece was individually wrapped and prepared properly. She and her staff took care of all of our items as if they were theirs. From San Antonio to Pennsylvania, to Connecticut, to Vermont all the items arrived in perfect shape. Terrible customer service... my package arrived damaged and broken and Pak Mail refused to pay for the damages. The package was poorly packed and we were told "that's how we like to package things" so it's no doubt that our priceless object arrived broken in 4 places. They also forgot to include several items that were supposed to be in the box. Not only will I never use this place again or recommend it but I will make sure the company I work for (they never use anyone else) also discontinues use of this place. I never leave reviews, but want to let people know how wonderful and professional this place is. I'm an artist and ship paintings all over the world and usually hold my breath wondering if they will make it undamaged or stuck in transit somewhere. Michelle and her team did an impeccable job packing the painting (30x40) including making it easy to unpack and repack should it be stopped in customs. I'm thrilled and my collector was overjoyed not only about the way it was carefully packaged, but that it arrived so quickly.
