I have been a customer at Oak & Page for many years. They offer a wide range of services, and are unfailingly courteous and helpful. For shipping, my contact information is in their computer system, so I don't have to write that on every package. They give me a choice of shippers and cost. Recently, a delayed Christmas present got there in one day for the normal shipping price because of the service that they recommended. They also offer gifts, cards, crafts, shredding, copying, notary service, computer consultation and design, and much more. I've been to Pak n Page hundreds of times, over the past 10 years, for shipping and copies, crafting items, gifts, jewelry and hugs. Yes, hugs, because the people who work int the store are so dear. The ups and fed ex drivers are cool too. They stay and chat a while when they pick up packages. The owner (Cheryce) holds crafting classes and creates the most beautiful creations! In my opinion not Autism friendly. They called me a liar and laughed at me and told me I looked normal so they had no way to know I didnt understand. I only wanted a big box. They said they can pack it and send it for me too. I thought they were being nice I thought they were the same as the regular post office but less busy with bigger boxes. They arent. I paid $204 to ship a 25lb box that was 36/24/20. I thought it was too expensive, and they asked if it was ok and I even commented that "I guess it will have to be". But that did not mean I understood that they had not compared the real price from the regular post office. They did not even though it shows USPS up on their wall. I thought that they were giving me the best shipping rate compared between all the shipping companies. They did not disclose that to me. They were misleading. Their sign says that they use USPS, FEDEX, and UPS. The USPS a block away said the would have only charged me $68.75 for a 34/20/15 box from California to Idaho. I would have gone there. It wasn't fair. They tricked me into thinking that their prices were the only ones! I was overcharged by $60 at least and they said the next morning after I caught them that there are surcharges when people ship through them and not in person at the regular post office. I trusted them that they were finding my best rate. Not the "cheapest" rate they had there with them and their surcharges. That was not disclosed fully to me. But they say I should have known. They also charged me $17.25 for packing peanuts that I was not told about. They say that they are mandatory, but I was not told ahead of the order. If you bring in a box that is already packed and ready to ship, they wont charge for the peanuts. I was not told in advance that I could buy/pack my own box even if I bought it there. It was not made clear. I was not told I could just buy the box and leave with it and take it to the post office instead either. When I attempted to explain that to them at the opening of business the next morning, they laughed at me like it was ridiculous that I wouldnt have known or understood, but I didnt until I was told by others that they overcharged me and was showed online. I have Autism. I dont always understand like most people do. They told me that because they didnt know that I didnt understand, it isnt their fault and they have no obligation to make it right for me. They said because my husband was there too that he should have said something. We thought they were helping us. We didn't have any reason to question them. They seemed extra helpful and as if they had my best interests at heart. They did not. I think it is clear that I myself will not be a returning customer because I need a company that takes responsibility when there has been a mistake made not blames me for my limitations. I did not ask for a full refund. Only the difference in the amount I should have been charged if I had been given all the information. I also advise anyone that is going to send a package through Pak and Page to look at your other options first BEFORE going in there. Protect yourself and dont trust that they are looking out for you or helping you. In my opinion, they are helping themselves profit only. Check your receipt before you leave the store. Ask to pack your own box to avoid being charged extra for peanuts. You dont have to have them do it for you, even if they don't tell you that you have the option! Or, just buy the box and take it with you and mail it at the regular post office. You dont have to have them do it for you. I know now but I learned the hard way. They made sure to mention to me while I was in tears due to this misunderstanding/miscommunication that this would be a lesson to me. It sure was. It showed me that I should not trust that others won't take advantage of me and my trusting nature. I feel that I should have been refunded the difference in costs due to the misrepresentation. When I asked for this, I was made to feel bad and laughed at, they said they "appreciate the feedback" and that I cannot have a refund because they already paid for their materials etc. But, if I had been better informed of my options I would have bought only a box and left, then they would have not had to pay for any materials. If they choose to answer me back here, in my opinion, for appearance sake they will say thankyou for the feedback just like all their other bad reviews on Google, but without really taking responsibility or changing. They just blame me and my misunderstanding and say they did everything they could without knowing I had Autism but I am not required to disclose that I have a disability to get good customer service. They ARE required to disclose options and charges and that wasn't done appropriately for someone with Autism. You cant always "see" Autism and it shouldn't make a difference in customer satisfaction just because I don't "look" different enough to suit them. read more

Significantly (!!!) overcharged for a FedEx delivery. Should have been charged $68 based on FedEx website price. Was charged over $140 by Pak and Page. As they are the only FedEx retail service in the area the second time I went to ship a package they said they could only ship the package via "Air" through FedEx which would have been $30 MORE than the "Home Delivery" Price offered by FedEx website. Obviously, I chose to go home and ship through the FedEx website. WILL NOT use Pak and Page again. Period. read more

I have used the services at this local business for over 15 years and have always been super pleased with the service and range of products they offer. The employees are always cheerful and eager to help. They offer craft supplies, office supplies, offer printing, scanning, faxing, handmade jewelry and so many things that I can't remember them all. I use their services often and am thankful that there is such a well run business with well trained employees in our small town Yes, you may pay more for shipping than if you were to go to the post office, but I don't feel that the prices are out of line and I am happy to help support a small, local business. read more

The customer service has been poor on every visit here. I would rather drive an hour to Fresno or organize a pick up online than use this business again. I will let anyone know who is planning on sending packages, that this business makes it a habit of opening your parcels that you have paid to have shipped. This opens the door to store personnel to steal as I had items taken out of my parcel. I am now trying to find out UPS and FEDEX's policy on any of these parcels being opened even if they may be suspicious. Will never go there again and caution anyone else to do the same. read more
