We have had the misfortune to receive messages like these from USPS on many occasions. This cannot be ignored. Our neighbours who are in the 80s have had to drive miles from home to pick up food for their pets - all because USPS said they cannot deliver because of the driveway or front door. All our neighbours have similar driveways. There is no excuse that USPS said they cannot access the driveway or the front door - to deliver a hat. SHAME on USPS for lying!

The staff is professional and very helpful. They know their stuff and if there were any issues they were quick to resolve and were willing to go the extra mile and make phone calls on my behalf to resolve. Small town/mountain life has been amazing all the way around! INCLUDING DMV in Mariposa! I was naive to what a hidden gem mountain living could be and would have made the move YEARS ago had I known! The post office is kind of tucked away, but it is a beautiful building directly across the street from the sun and ski store. It is just after the gas station and the fire department. Apparently you have to go to the post office to mail things. Everyone in town has a PO Box. You cannot expect to receive mail delivered to your door whether you are a business or living at a residence. I always love a good drive up and drop off sort of situation but the only thing that was not great. Is that if you drive up to the mailbox, you had better have somebody in your front passenger seat to drop these off in the box itself. The box is on the right side of your vehicle. I guess you could drive in the opposite direction and then it'll be on the driver side. But, I'm sure you'll figure it out. Beautiful building and it was great to get here so early. There were no other cars in the lot.

Even when they are short staffed they go the extra mile to provide great service at a great value. Even on the busiest days you won't wait in line too long unless someone in front of you is getting a passport or opening a box. For such a small town they have an exceptional and consistent workload.
