JS Air - Tyler deserves a 5

If I could put a zero on this review I would but unfortunately if it's not an option! DO NOT HIRE…read moreTHIS COMPANY! I have been waiting over a week to have them come over to my house and service my air conditioner and I had an appointment this morning between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. this afternoon and it is currently 6:30 p.m. and nobody has showed up and nobody has had the decency to call my home! I have lost an entire day of wages and I'm sitting in a house that is currently 101°. What a joke of a company and how unprofessional!

JS Air (HVAC): 12 January 2023…read more In the cold of winter, our HVAC called it quits. I contacted the Home Warranty company and they scheduled a local company to come out. This was the same company we had scheduled (also through Home Warranty) nearly one and a half years ago. Back then, I was disappointed with the serviceman that came out. The atmosphere is totally different on this date. Tyler was professional and seemed honest. At first, he thought we had to change the entire unit out, which was going to cost around $12,000. He left after 45-minutes but returned with different parts to test the unit. It took over four hours, and with the guidance of his 'boss', Jason, Tyler got our HVAC fixed. It makes a cranky noise upon starting up, but at least we have heat. This young lad deserves a 5 for not giving up. Thank you, Tyler. JS Air should be so proud of their good training and guidance.

Balanced Comfort Cooling & Heating - Parts were only $370 and the job took 30 minutes. For those of you wondering, that would be $3,822 an hour AFTER the cost of parts...

I had this company come out to fix an issue with my unit not generating heat. They didn't have the…read moreparts and said they were going to order them and the total cost was going to be $2,281. I found out all the parts required cost A TOTAL of $370 and took about 30 minutes to install. Before I went to install them myself, I found that the unit wouldn't turn on at all anymore and that the breaker had been removed and never replaced. When I put the breaker back, the unit turned on immediately and was extremely weak and flowed little to no air, which was not the original issue. This issue was never written up in the original report and the parts that were ordered would not solve this airflow issue in any way. according to other HVAC professionals. The fact that the breaker was left out tells me the technician realized that was the only way to get the unit to stop running. Obviously this new issue was created with whatever work had been done by the technician. (Mistakes happen, not upset about that) I called to see if they would come out to fix the problem they had caused at no charge and they said no. Not only is it outrageous to charge almost $2000 for 30 minutes of work but to not hold your company accountable to fix new issues that they have created is unacceptable. I was told the quote of $2,281 for the work and parts require was outrageous by an HVAC technician in the Bay Area, that should tell you something...

Balanced Comfort serviced a bathtub leak in December 2024 and charged me $600. We rarely use that…read moreshower or tub, so we believed the problem was fixed. Today, after using the bathtub to take a bath, the exact same ceiling leak reappeared in the same spot. I called Balanced Comfort for warranty service. The technician repeatedly insisted the leak was from the toilet, even though we stated clearly that the toilet was not used at all and the bathtub was the only fixture used. He refused to properly check the tub, suggested cutting into the sheetrock, and appeared to be looking for a different cause to avoid honoring their one-year warranty. When we asked him to leave, he kept insisting we sign an invoice even though no work was performed. This is very frustrating since we had to fix the ceiling from the water damage and now we have to get all the problem fix along with our damaged ceiling AGAIN!!!!
