It's been at least 2.5 years since I've tried a new coffee spot in Richmond, so my coworkers recommended Paix Coffee when I was visiting this past Saturday. The interior is pretty small, but my cousin and I were able to grab a seat at the high top table to enjoy our drinks and catch up. CORTADO - 4.25 Between oat and whole milk, the barista recommended whole milk. The drink was creamy and the espresso flavor was strong, but not my favorite. The notes were bright and fruity, but also had some bold, bitter flavors I wasn't as fond of. I know they rotate the beans they use for their espresso, so my review may not mean much in a few days. My cousin got the latte and he felt similarly about the espresso notes. Overall, it was still a good space to catch up. They sell their beans in glass bottles (!!) so I knew I had to buy a bottle to bring home. read more

Paix is an intimate hub for delicious coffee in the Museum District. They have indoor and backyard seating. My friend and I were treated to the adventures of a tiny little mouse outside bopping around. We both ordered vanilla lattes, and we enjoyed them. Since it's on the smaller side, the focus is really on coffee roasting, so they don't have a big menu of options. For that, go down the street to Black Hand. I enjoyed the visit and the price was on par with other shops. The churchy art was a surprise, but they have a cool vibe overall. read more

What a cool spot! The inside is small, but cozy. Decorated with old church signs and paintings, Paix Coffee displays their simple menu by the register. I enjoyed their seasonal latte- honey cardamom in January 2025. Next door and attached to Paix Coffee is a fun clothing store with a couch and bar seating. Visited Paix during the week around 8:30am. There was no line, but I heard it gets quite busy on the weekends. They have a limited menu, but I went with the seasonal spiced latte (November 2024). The latte was $6 which seemed a bit much for the size, but it tasted pretty good. Service was friendly and there is some seating available, but is limited. They are connected to a boutique/vintage shop next door so it's nice to pop around in there while waiting! read more

Paix has such a good vibe and a great location. I love that you can look at cool clothes, lounge on a comfy sofa and have an incredible coffee. I think paix shines most with the classics (like straight up latte, pour overs, etc) because their beans are so unique and delicious that you really don't need or want a lot of extras in terms of flavor. If you're looking for some wild flavors try out some of their co-fermented beans! read more

Paix Coffee is a local coffee shop that first started out as a mobile cart. It was good to see them have a brick-and-mortar, attached to a clothing/apparel/accessories store that you can peruse while waiting for your beverage(s). We stopped by in the morning, and I tried one of their seasonal drinks - it was a spritzer, and it was well-made, strong, and refreshing. I just wished it came in a larger size. Staff were friendly, and there is a couple of seatings in the cafe area; most patrons seem to bring their drinks over to the store, which made me a bit nervous due to accidental spills and such. A true coffee gem in RVA I love how there weren't too many options (sometimes that's overwhelming LOL), but they had the staples and a seasonal option -- which was the Brazilian Lemonade / Thunderbolt which was AMAZING!! A casual and inviting place with delicious lattes (some of the best I've had). The baristas are down to earth and adept at latte art designs. They have some seating. In addition to the main cafe area, the contiguous clothing store--a mellow, open space containing a variety of wares and a smattering of sewing machines--houses a sofa and comfortable chair for a handful of patrons to drink and chat. I'm told they sold their small, in-cafe roaster and moved their roasting off-site--to a nearby warehouse. The coffee is remains excellent and their beans are worth a try. read more

Wow!! If you're looking for incredible and high quality coffee, this is the stop for you! Paix Espresso is a pop-up coffee cart that ventures around Richmond. I've been wanting to try them for some time now and was so excited to finally try them this weekend with my partner. You can see their weekly schedule to find where they'll be on a certain day on their website or their Instagram. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk which was heavenly. My partner enjoyed his cappuccino. We loved walking around the neighborhood with our drinks after ordering. The two people who run this are not only knowledgeable about coffee, but also kind and patient. They took the time to answer my questions and let me review the menu. There is something so charming and Richmond about this coffee cart. Do note that their drinks are on the smaller side, but this allowed me to savor my drink even more. Lovely little coffee shop with lovely people. They do things simply and really well. No unnecessary frills to distract from the quality of the coffee. And what you get here is delicious and quality stuff. The menu is small, with mostly espresso based drinks. The staff were super kind and helpful. Service was quick. I was in and out in just a couple minutes. Met the owner who took my order and told me a little about their business. Paix is attached to what looked like a clothing / consignment shop next door, and you have super easy access with an opening inside connecting them. Street parking in the museum district neighborhood. So it's quiet and typically will find street parking very easily. Will be going back! read more

This amazing small pop-up style coffee shop offers the most ḋëḷïċïöüṡ brews. The small, whitewashed brick room is pleasantly unassuming and straightforward in its presentation and menu. Don't let the simple digs fool you, though, because the flavor on the roast was RICH and amazing. I opted for an oat milk latte and was super happy with my selection. The staff was also really friendly, and even made something special for the child in our party so she could have something to sip on. I stopped by the Paix coffee truck at a market. I ordered the seasonal drink, which was a spiced latte. The staff was so nice, and the 2 of them were whipping our coffees on the spot. Excellent coffee!! We went here spontaneously and we liked that the menu was short and sweet. My bf got a cortado and I got a latte. They were small but really really good.
