Cute place with a really impressive menu! We tried a few coffee shops in Richmond and this was our favorite. I tried the pineapple upside down latte, which had to be one of the most unique lattes I've ever had, and it was delicious- never would have thought these flavors went together. Just a really fun vibe too- there was a special latte when we went that was dedicated to a one-star review they'd gotten, you have to love it. There was a pretty good amount of seating outside and inside too!

I've come here several times. One of my favorite spots to snag a coffee and a small bite to eat. They are typically always busy so prepare for a wait ! They work pretty quickly as well for how busy they are. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor is typically taken by people doing work or schooling - but they outside is typically open depending on how busy they are ! They've also got a little free library on the side of the business ! It's such a warm environment and I love stopping by. Will forever be my go-to coffee spot.

My usual getting me through the day starting early in the morning.

I definitely believed that I had already submitted a review for this business. I love getting my mocha latte fix from them. I have met and encountered some amazing people and I have also enjoyed being greeted so well and warmly welcomed by be staff. Even on busy days, they value personal acknowledgment. I have never had a negative experience here and I will continue to visit and purchase when I am able. It is not a large space, but it is a coffee shop with limited seating indoors and outside. Heck out their seasonal offerings. I have put people on to their tea blends, too.

Blueberry matcha with cold foam! A bit light on the matcha for me but good matcha flavor. Couldn't taste much blueberry

Very cute interior and bomb creative drinks! Love their seasonal offerings and everyone is always friendly. The themed merch they sell is very enticing, I'll probably have to get one at some point.

This is my favorite coffee in Richmond! The atmosphere is always so welcoming and the staff are so friendly. My favorite drink is the crime of passion tea. I get it iced with little room for sweetener (simple syrup). I've tried some of the pastries and the chimbo club sand-which. Both were very flavorful and fresh. Next time, you're in church hill, stop by!

I ordered a standard iced vanilla latte, which was okay. I didn't end up finishing the drink because I felt there was something off about the flavor, possibly tasted a little watered down, but not from milk (if that makes sense). My partner got the seasonal special tiramisu cold brew, which didn't have a strong tiramisu flavor. This might have been due to the non-diary option that was only available since they ran out of diary ones. Drinks were made quickly though and staff were really friendly! Overall, still a cute local coffee shop within the neighborhood of Church Hill.

Riverbend is a beautiful and welcoming space in Church Hill, nearby cute shops and beautiful homes. They have a tasty menu of both drinks and food. I tried the Cali Dream and the Tiramisu Cold Brew, both 10/10! I recommend Riverbend! They are Woman & Queer owned!

Another fantastic experience at THE coffee shop in the hill! Cali-dream sandwich was so good that I got one to-go for a busy day tomorrow. My barista gave it to me "deconstructed" so it would not get soggy overnight. So thoughtful! You need to try the Blueberry + Cream latte before fall flavors come out. Delicious!!

First time in and I'll definitely be back!! Seating outside and inside and high ceilings. The whole team was so kind and they're LGBTQ+ friendly! I got an iced yerba mate with strawberry flavor and lemonade. Yum!! I also grabbed a sandwich to go. Turkey, cream cheese, tomato, and so much more! I'll be back to try coffee drinks and more food items.

I moved to Richmond 6 months ago. I didn't know what to expect. This coffee house is Richmond in a nutshell. The coffee is great; you can't go wrong with any of their lattes, though my favorite is the sugar cookie latte. The prices are very reasonable (though I did move from CA where lattes are double the price for less quality), and the quality is great. This coffee house punches above its weight. But the best aspect of Riverbend is how they welcome everyone. I felt welcomed and have made it part of my morning routine to come here and get my coffee before work. And when I bump into the staff outside Riverbend, they're quick to say hello. And they're a huge supporter of human rights for all.

Only planned to come here one day so that we could try other places but came back two days in a row for the salty bee and my husband said the light roast drip coffee was great too! Nice outdoor seating and a water bowl for the pups.

I've been coming here for years, for family vacations. They are very friendly, they have a great vibe. Food and coffee is always excellent! I'm a huge fan of their Yerba mate lemonade spritz!

The first time I went with my daughter on a Saturday in July and we got there around 10:45am and there was a decent 15 minute line. By the time we got inside and had a look at the bakery case there wasn't a lot of choices. We got an almond croissant and a spinach feta tart. Also got an iced jasmine latte which was surprisingly good- slightly floral and not overly sweet. I'm always on the lookout for a good almond croissant. Unfortunately the almond croissant did not live up to expectations. Not the worst I've had- I liked the filling but the bottom layers looks like it suffered from failed lamination. It was one layer and overly baked. The layers on the tart were better and the flavors were great. On our second visit we got there at 8:30am on a Saturday and had way more selection: chocolate almond croissant, pain aux currant, sour cherry and pistachio croissant, morning bun. Chocolate croissant was better than the almond croissant cause chocolate pretty much makes everything taste better but not sure the layers on the bottom were any better. My favorite was the cherry and pistachio croissant. Lots of flavor and puff pastry was done well. The morning bun was good, but it was nothing special. Disappointing bc was expecting something great. My other favorite was the.pain aux currants. I went with several family members the second time and we all agreed our favorites were the sour cherry and pistachio croissant as well as the pan aux currants. Staff was friendly and helpful on both our visits. Parking can be a challenge, but you should be able to find something as long as you're up for a walk. No steps needed to get in the place so handicap friendly but seating inside is kinda limited but decent for the size of the place. There's also a few outdoor tables but there's no shade.

Reservations made well in advance is a must unless you're going at less popular times. Unfortunately parking is always a challenge because of reserved parking so plan ahead and come early if I have a reservation. Lots of steps leading up into the building but there is a ramp for handicap access. Kids were in town so we were visiting all our favorite places. Blue Atlas tapas style variety is always a hit with us. The only disappointment this time was the Elote dumplings. They were basically just corn gnocchi. Not a terrible flavor, but wouldn't bother ordering again. We started with some pretty fun cocktails, and a highlighted wine which I wish I could remember the name of...i think it started with N...It was a light bodied wine with mild floral notes, and a Prosecco feel without the bubbly that went perfect with all the plates. For cocktails, we got tea ceremony, la Siesta, Nicolada. I loved la Siesta and Tea ceremony for their uniqueness and smooth delivery. My son has a sweet tooth for cocktails, which the Nicolada fit but probably a little too sweet for me. For food we got the ever reliable pork belly Bao buns -a bit on the pricey side when you have to order extra to serve a table of four at $6 each, Next the aforementioned elote dumplings, -tacos de trucha which was good but not my favorite, -hanger steak, -Malaysian fried chicken - delicious and a good deal, -shish Barak; unique, and very tasty, -Vietnamese prawn toast, which was delicious , - -steamed mussels- good and enjoyed by most, and the -tortilla Española; solid but underwhelming compared to everything else. Also ordered the Brie special with toast that I loved but some of us got part of the rind which there was a lot of so wasn't as enjoyable for them but the flavors were there. Would've liked a few more heavy protein options but this did not affect our enjoyment of the meal. The hanger steak exceeded my expectations. I'm not always up for steak, but this was done perfectly and well accompanied with a marinated summer squash, cherry tomatoes, and pickled peppers. For dessert we got the ice cream sandwich and the chocolate banoffee budino. They were all out of the Black Forest meringue, so unfortunately, we could not try that. The ice cream sandwiches were a hearty serving and enjoyed by everyone at the table, but I thought the banoffee budino was the best. Unique and very tasty. Would have ordered one to have by myself if I wasn't so full lol.

It's a very popular restaurant, so today, when we entered, while we were greeted right away, there was a 30 minute wait. The time actually went by relatively fast, and by the time we were seated, large cups of ice water were already there at our table, as well as a carafe to refill them. There's no physical menus, instead you scan a QR code which brings you to their menu. They have lots of drink options, including several specialty cocktails, beers, and ciders. Our waiter was super sweet and attentive, and the food came out relatively quickly. For my drink, I ordered a local cider from a Virginia ciderie, as well as the It's A Wrap, which has cheddar, ranch, mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and your choice of protein (I got tofu). I also got a side of the Mac and cheese, which I could tell was made in house. Super creamy and flavorful with a hint of spice. My wrap was also insanely good! I'm impressed by the amount of vegetarian options here. Any burger can be made both gluten free or vegan, and the choices of protein make it more accessible for everyone who comes in.
